I’m on a quest for the Best Phở in the land and this place ranks right up there. The broth was delicious and the beef was tender. I’m in town for business and will definitely eat here should I come back know to Wenatchee.

This place has good food but are expensive. We’ve only eaten take out, so no idea what the restaurant is like. I don’t think I’ll eat here again, only because there are cheaper Vietnamese places with better food.

I love this place! They make the best PHO and I have had my fair share. I also enjoy the casual and friendly atmosphere. If your in Wenatchee this is a great place to grab a delicious bite.

I now no longer live near CucTran, this is not normal Phở, you can get cookie cutter broth at the other places in town, but this is special, hand done, not just cheap tasteless broth. I stick to the Phở or Bun, and other dishes are great deals. This is a mom and son operation. I’m sad to now have not eaten here more. Give it a try, if you want a more unique experience, not card cutout Seattle blah and boring. The Chicken phở is amazing, Beef is great too.

I’m a local but have moved out of the area. Every time I come to town I make sure to stop here for lunch. This place is nothing short of amazing. Best Vietnamese food period!!! Love this place

What a great find! We stumbled upon this place because they had a wooden tent style sign out front. Nothing fancy about the décor for sure. A great menu of choices that made it hard to decide what to get. I had a bowl of vermicelli noodles with veggies, pork, nuts, etc. that rivaled my favorite restaurant in San Francisco. The staff were warm and welcoming, no phonies there. Highly recommended. My friend had a tofu curry dish that was also delicious!

I absolutely love the atmosphere this place has. The food is great too. I go there for the chicken curry or beef phở. Let me tell you once thing. This place has the best phở in the wenatchee valley. I’ve tried a lot of food and this is the best by far to get vietnamese food. The waiter and owner is always so attentive and friendly.

Quick service. Phở was good. Price was right. Hit the spot on a very cold winter day.

Best Vietnamese food period! The bun and the phở are my all time favorites. Do not judge a book by its cover. Amazing place and I love that it’s family owned and operated. It doesn’t get any better. Cuc is an amazing cook and Huy is a great waiter. Been going there for years. Never disappointed. You should definitely check them out.

Was recommended by locals and I wasn’t disappointed. Very good and the waiter so attentive. The story about his mom starting the restaurant in the 70s proudly displayed. Makes dining here even more special. I had the lemongrass with shrimp as per a review and was good. Portion control good so no left overs to take home. Spring rolls good. Peanut dipping sauce different from thai so kept that in mind. This isn’t Thai it’s Vietnamese. Can’t wait to try the phở. This is a great downtown place to go for lunch when shopping.

We had a great lunch. The service is good & fast. The ambiance is not great but OK. The food was big and solid Vietnamese food. We would certainly eat there again.

The restaurant itself is a bit drab and you might want to order to go, but the noodle dishes are really really good. I don’t go often and the place is hard to even notice unless you’re specifically in search of it. The noodles the restaurant serves at the food fair every year are always so yummy and such a seller. I cant get over the bbq flavor of the noodles. Its so good.

The Bun bowls are excellent and if they happen to have their chicken and rice soup you must try it(they have it only once every few weeks but it’s the best soup I’ve ever had). I’ve tried the spring rolls, the spicy chicken, the phở, and some of the other dishes and while they’re okay, the Bun and the soup are really the best they have to offer. Oh and the price is excellent.

We went here for lunch today and I must warn you not to judge the place on its appearance. It’s a small restaurant without a lot of character, but the food totally made up for that. We both finished our lunches and mine was super tasty and just the right level of spicy. The servers were friendly and it looked like we were sitting among regulars from town — always a good sign that you have found a good place to eat.

If my memory serves me correctly, some of the world’s finest restaurants have zero, nil, nada, zip, nothing(for the sake of argument) in common with Wenatchee, Washington. But in today’s world, if a black man can become president, why can’t the people of good ol’ Wenatchee pop something other than cherries? Ahem! And or apples. Behold! I introduce you to the Cuc Tran Café. This really, truly, absolutely takes the cake for best phở in the valley. There’s no question of a doubt! It’s my signature staple everytime I visit. I must admit, I’m not a fan of the combination dishes, because the stir-fry veggies and pan-fried noodles are unnecessary bland items. As formidable as it may sound, for that matter, I don’t recommend them. And last but not least, it’s the history and family-run properties of Cuc Tran Café that keep bringing me back. I’d love to stay and chat, but I’ve got a schedule to keep.

For as much as I wanted to enjoy this meal, I was gravely disappointed. Everything but the food was what I expected… small unassuming place, not particularly cozy or cute, just efficient. There were a couple of other tables of diners. This looked very promising, as the best phở I have ever had were from dingy little shops like this. I ordered the Vietnamese stable… Coffee with condensed milk, Combination beef phở, and a pair of spring rolls. Waiter informed me they don’t have mixed meat(shrimp + pork) spring rolls(which is rather odd) so I had one pork roll and one shrimp roll. The spring rolls came out first and signaled a bad start. Both rolls were made using incredibly thin wraps that literally fell apart as I picked them up. The shrimp roll was ok. The pork roll was a disaster. Instead of having thinly sliced and lightly salted meat inside, the roll was bloated with heavily teriaked meat chunks. I gave up after eating less than half. Then came the phở. I expected potent broth and thinly sliced rare meat on top. No no… the broth was under-seasoned and I got these gnarly thick pieces of meat that were way overcooked(they were actually chewy!) Normally I eat all the meat in my phos because they are the best part next to the broth, but this time all I could do was stuffing myself full with the noodles just so I won’t have to pick through the tasteless and poorly sliced meat. The only saving grace to the meal was the waiter who was friendly and attentive and the coffee, which was strong and perfectly milky. Since all I had was traditional Vietnamese dishes, I can’t say much about the rest of their menu. However friends, be warned, the phở is no good(and yes I consider myself a connosseur of phở these days, after having eaten it at no fewer than 30 cities all around the US and beyond. You can’t fool me with bad phở)

Nice little restaurant which is hard to spot if you’re just casually passing by on Wenatchee Avenue. I have several friends who rave about this spot, and with good reason… it’s a friendly, family-run business that makes consistently delicious food for a fair price. First impression: Cramped and dim, reminiscent of many of my favorite hole-in-the-wall restaurants I’ve stumbled upon at home and abroad. Take-out service was prompt and efficient, but I highly recommend you take the chance to linger and sit down for awhile. Excellent vegetarian dishes, which is something that is quite hard to find in the Wenatchee area. Check it out!

I like this place! I need to make an effort to come more often! Its a hole in the wall and its tucked in an old historical building with a future cigar shop out front. The Cuc Tran has been one of those local restaurants that have been around forever, but I always keep forgetting about this place because I don’t go downtown too often. The food was quick and hot, we tried the Phở and a noodle salad dish that I don’t remember the name but they both were good! The fresh spring rolls and the regular deep fried egg rolls were OK and the vietnamese iced coffee was super strong! Customer service was OK, there was only 1 person running the front end, that included being the waiter/cashier/bus person/etc. At times, I thought we were forgotten, but he quickly remembered when we flagged him down.

Quite possibly the best restaurant in all of Chelan and Douglas counties. No, not just best asian restaurant, best restaurant period. I’ve been a fan since they were on Mission in their old tiny spot. Currently they’re at an only slightly larger tiny space in the Doneen building. Great bang for your buck. Fresh everything, big flavor, friendly faces everywhere you look. Cha Gio like my friend’s mom used to make. The Lemongrass Pork combo meal is out of this world. A must every time I’m back on that side of the pass.

Better phở than I’ve had in many places in Seattle, and many other Asian specialities. This is the only place that you really want to consider if you want to eat Asian food in Central Washington, besides the excellent Hungry Belly in Chelan. The owner is a Vietnamese immigrant who fled Vietnam after the war in the 1970s and settled in Wenatchee with her family. The phở is probably the most authentic Vietnamese dish on the menu, with great broth and good-quality meat. Other items are more pan-Asian or Ameri-Asian(teriyaki, etc) but quality.
