Sav-Mart

I had a Magnavox for years in the 1980’s, probably the best TV I ever owned … outside of my Zenith.
When my Magnavox died about 15 years ago … I was unable to find a replacement. It made me really sad. The Magnavox TV’s had the commercial volume control … so I could actually hear my shows without getting blown into the next room when a commercial came on.
Imagine my surprise when I visited Wenatchee and saw the HUGE Magnavox sign at Sav-​Mart! I turned to my wife and said: I can’t believe it!
Without hesitation I pulled the car into the parking lot with full intention of buying a Magnavox TV.
Well … I was heartbroken to find they no longer sell Magnavox TV’s … or Entertainment Systems, as indicated by the HUGE sign out front. Much to my disappointment the salesman informed me the signs were old.
Bummer.

This is a commission haven. They will tackle you at the door practically with gleaming eyes to make a sale. Husband and I were looking at beds and the sales guy would not leave! I was expecting this but also had some mild hope they wouldn’t be that pushy. Several times we were guided toward the cheaper bed models despite making it clear we wanted a quality personal bed — not some guest room addition. I kind of felt very watched and just didn’t like the way that made the overall experience. Let people try the stuff and milk around a bit. No need to hover!

This review is for the repair department! We purchased high-​end appliances from Sav-​Mart over 10 years ago: a Viking 6-​burner gas stove, a Bosch dishwasher & a sub-​zero refridgerator. For the most part, all of them have run perfectly well as expected. They came with excellent warranties and what minor issues we have had in the past have been covered. Our sub-​zero began malfunctioning and we scheduled a service call. We got the estimate for $ 1000 but we also got some good advice from the service person. He suggested we try a couple things on our own first, and told us specifically how to go about it. Although he said he was not allowed to do it himself, he wanted us to try it because it could save us the money. I am raving about the service call because he could have simply told us that we needed to spend a grand, and skipped over the fact that it might be somethign simple we could fix ourselves. As it turns out, we WERE able to repair it ourselves!!! I am SO IMPRESSED with this person’s integrity and felt he truly cared about our resources and the condition of our appliances. When it comes time to replace these items, I will be sure to buy them from Sav-​Mart. You can trust them to take care of you. Good customer service all around.

Does anyone remember when this was a retail store back in the days? Oh, how I miss it! They are now strictly a furniture and appliance store with a seasonal garden center.
The garden center is where I frequent every year to stock up on some shrubbery. The prices are OK, but they do have some unique plants and trees that they sell there.
Their customer service is always friendly, helpful, & attentive, whether I’m in the store or at the garden center!

great prices, awesome friendly service and… THEY DELIVER FOR FREE. We have ordered numerous things from them, and the deliveries have always been on time. When they delivered our new bed/​mattress, they even set the whole thing up for us! They do not have their furniture dept. set up as a «showroom», which is less intimidating and makes it easier to find what you are looking for. Also, the salespeople are very helpful, but will leave you alone to browse if that is what you want to do.
