Not too bad, on par with the Denny’s down the street. Portion sizes are so-so with places in town serving much more generous amounts for the money. I ordered the buckwheat pancakes with eggs and corned beef hash; truly nothing to rave about other than their homemade strawberry syrup which was quite yummy.

Great old school breakfast place. Well staffed, prompt service, busy as all get out on a Sunday morning. Large servings. No one walks away hungry.

Food was good. Service was adequate. Great selection on their menu and definitely a step up from your local Denny’s. There was quite a line when we arrived last Sunday, but the wait was short and food came out quickly. Friendly staff.

A five-star breakfast place in Wenatchee. Yes, the rating is relative, but many solid mornings here make this a reliable go-to place for breakfast with my boy. Service is friendly, and their menu includes a tasty waffle and Swedish pancakes as well as a bunch of breakfast classics. My guess is there are a lot of people who eat here often and don’t leave reviews, leading to the likes of a 1-star review by a mom whose 1 year old had gastroenteritis which she blamed on the restaurant(which is frankly absurd — 1 year olds get sick all the time, and if it was the food, mom would have gotten it too) to distort the ratings. Summary: tasty breakfast in a family-friendly setting served by nice folks.

I went to Smittys on Saturday March 21 to attend a family brunch. I will NEVER go back! My poor 1 year old daughter had SEVERE food poisoning! She had a pancake, eggs, and bacon. For 24hours she had nothing but diarrhea and vomited all over! I cant believe this happened. Despite people warning me about this place I decided to give it a try, now I wish I never did!

Wow! This is the place to be if your in search of a great breakfast in Wenatchee. Incredible service from wait staff and after coming in a few times you will feel like family. They know their regulars like they back of their hand. Great food, great service, great people. Do yourself a favor and Eat Here. Disregard negative reviews from pretentious people. This place is a staple in town for a reason, go and see for yourself.

Even as a young adult, I don’t want to overhear about the waitresses experience of being at her own pregnant bachelorette party in Vegas as she explains it to other customers. Pregnant bride at a strip club in Vegas and works as a waitress way to be classy Wenatchee. Not coming back unless it is to show out of towners how redneck Wenatchee is, food doesn’t make up for unprofessional staff.

Awesome breakfast place in Wenatchee. Smittys serves up great french toast, pancakes, omelets, skillets, and more. The food is reasonably priced and the service is very good. Having only eaten breakfast there, I can’t vouch for the rest of the menu but I’d feel confident ordering anything they serve.

Delicious food, ample portion sizes, attentive staff and average wait time before our food was served. On a busy Sunday morning, these four factors made my first dining experience at Smitty’s more than satisfactory. Thumbs up!

Should have gone to Shari’s or Denny’s …or made breakfast at home. They«can’t» make a mocha… so i had to order coffee and cocoa separately. I did like my California Benedict, but my boyfriend was disappointed with the brown and serve sausage… and his pancake was probably a cheap box mix and was soggy and cold. The bathroom was dingy and had a poorly aligned stall door that you had to shove shut and get it to wedge to stay shut. Got a peek of the kitchen and worry about cleanliness/sanitation/cleaning standards and methods. All the staff seems un-energetic and unhappy. Thanks, but no thanks.

We enjoyed our visit to Smitty’s. It was recommended by some of the area locals and we are glad we chose it over a few nearby chain restaurants. The service was very friendly, seems to be a trend in the area and I love it. The menu offers many options which is great for me since I have wheat allergies. They were very nice to answer any questions we had. They left a nice pot of coffee on our table. My friend had the buckwheat pancakes and loved them. I went with a basic eggs, ham and potatoes. This would be a great place if you have several people wanting options. Over all, friendly service, good food and very reasonable.

Great food, a creative menu, and excellent service! I am a vegetarian and trying to find decent food in Wenatchee can be difficult. Smitty’s huge menu has several inventive and flavorful vegetarians items in addition to their more traditional foods. Give them a try when looking for a great breakfast in Wenatchee.

I was nervous to come here after the reviews but we were looking for a post-Oktoberfest breakfast and thought that the lines in Leavenworth would be ridiculous so we stopped by here instead. The wait wasn’t too bad considering the number of people waiting for a table. It went really fast. This place was WAY better than we thought it’d be. It’s a typical diner but with a massive breakfast menu — it was really impressive. Everything that everyone had looked good but the Farmer’s breakfast seemed like the best deal. For just under $ 10, you got pancakes or waffles(there were other options too) plus bacon, sausage, hash browns, etc. I had a breakfast skillet which was pretty good — the giant scrambled pancake(aka scrambled eggs) were a little odd but not bad. One of the servers accidentally knocked a glass of ice water on our friend — you’d think they’d comp something but nope. Oh well, I guess places like this aren’t known for their customer service. She was apologetic and friendly enough, I guess. $ 23 for 2 people… including juice and coffee which isn’t terrible. The food is decent — all around a-ok place.

I want to like this place, I really do. If only because it offers buckwheat pancakes and is pleasantly humming with the after-church crowd on Sundays. But five of my past six visits there have been«meh» at-best. Aforementioned pancakes were dry and tasted of baking soda; one omelate appeared to be made with Velveeta, another’s ingredients came out frozen. Don’t bother asking them to sub anything! They«don’t do that» or they«may be able to,» but they’ll forget. The ambience is pretty lacking, too, and waitresses have been sweet but forgetful. I will say the granola pancakes are a nice option. Nothing overly special, though.

My husband and I ate here while traveling through Wenatchee, as an alternative to your run-of-the-mill«Denny’s» fare, and we were highly impressed! The service was quick and friendly, the whole restaurant was clean and inviting, the menu was extensive, and the food was fresh, made right to order, and delicious. We have been traveling the country(we are touring actors) and as such, have eaten at many a «home style» diner — this one tops the list! Sure, if can’t handle pouring your own cup from a carafe of FRESH coffee placed at your table immediately upon request, go to Denny’s. But, if you want a satisfying meal, fresh off the griddle buttermilk pancakes like grandma made, and any kind of omelet your heart could desire, trade your Moons Over My-Hammy for Smitty’s!

Drove through Wenatchee on my way back to the west side of the mountains last week. My Unilocal for iPhone app was blowing up(no 3.0 version?), so I had to go with my gut. Gosh I wish I hadn’t done that! Smitty’s looks more or less like a Denny’s or any other corporate diner. In the lobby is a framed picture that says«Voted Best Breakfast, 2007». The voting committee should be summarily executed, in my opinion. Even though it’s full-service, at Smitty’s they drop a thermos on your table and you pour your own coffee. If they seat you at a 2-person table don’t dare order decaf if your partner orders regular! Two giant thermoses with all that sugar, syrup, creamer and jam on the table?! You’ll have to hold your plate and eat standing up! Here’s the best part: Apparently when the cooks were familiarizing themselves with the menu and saw the«Potato Pancakes» they thought that meant«pancake batter» + «shredded potatoes», as opposed to the more traditional version of potato pancakes(shredded potatoes, formed and pan-fried). Yeah, clearly they misunderstood the assignment, because it was simply alarming to behold and even worse to taste. I seriously wish I’d skipped it. Please read my other stuff so you know I’m not a bastard when it comes to restaurant reviews.

It’s been 12 – 15 years since I’ve lasted visited this restaurant, they are famous for their breakfast menu and I was impressed by the wide selection they had on their menu. They serve crepes, waffles, a variety of of different pancakes, skillets, a huge selection of omelets, steak & eggs, just to name a few. I opted for my favorite. the Benedict. Here was the situation… I had my option of either the regular Eggs Benny. or the California Benny… What’s the difference you may ask. Eggs Benedict is your regular english muffin with canadian bacon/ham, poached egg, and hollandaise sauce. While the California Benedict consists of english muffin, a slice of tomato, a slice of avocado, a poached egg with a mild cheese sauce. Weird and strange were the first words out of my mouth, but it was a good and interesting combo. I’ve also been on a Waffle with strawberry and whip cream kick lately too, so I had to order a Belgium Waffle with the proper toppings and it was OK, next time I’m going to ask for the strawberries on the side tho. I hate how they pour it on top and it makes my waffles soggy… soggy waffles make me sad… The customer service was OK, nothing spectacular. and definitely nothing to write home about. I think it maybe be another century before I come back again!
