I grew up next to the Diemand Farm so I’m completely biased but really this place is awesome and the Diemand’s will treat you like family. The store and the experience are totally worth the drive from Greenfield/Northhampton/Amherst

Have been there in person. It’s nice to see a real farm with real people that produces real food!

I have been a fan of Diemand Farm eggs since moving to the area in 2009, and last year I decided to get my Thanksgiving turkey from them. A week before T-day I called to make my order. We were only going to have four people for dinner, so I wanted a small Turkey. I asked the woman on the phone how big their smallest one would be and she replied, «I don’t know yet. They’re still out walking around.» Best. Turkey. Ever.

Turkey pot pie is bursting with meat, and the crust(top only, too bad!) is very rich. I try to buy meat that is not cruel factory farm-produced and i try to buy local food and they are local for me, so I’ve gone there to pick up my Thanksgiving turkey and seen the chickens running around in an ample area. Their jumbo eggs are a great value. It’s a family farm. I watched one of the daughters making the turkey pot pies by hand. This is the kind of farm we want to support.

Every year for the past five or six years I have made the trek out from Boston to Wendell to get my Thanksgiving turkey from Diemand Farm. I have never been disappointed — the turkey is always moist and has that rich, deep turkey flavor that I start to crave in mid-October. They also sell chicken, pot pies, stock, eggs, and other homemade treats. Be aware that it’s check or cash only, and it’s good to call in your turkey order early!
