Limited lunch menu, but the baked goods were good. The blueberry muffin was oversized while the nut stick was alright.

This café is set back from Route 1A — and I only know about it because I searched Unilocal for nearby cafes. It’s under the clock tower and across the road from Sunoco gas. The display case had homemade muffins and there were about a half-dozen gourmet coffees. There are a few indoor and outdoor tables. Looks like a great place to people watch.

Average. There’s apparently not much choice for a breakfast spot in Hamilton/Wenham. I went here over the reviews of other places. The menu is tiny! A few kinds of eggs, plain pancakes or French toast and some sides. That’s it. However, they had a good coffee selection. I was confused that it specifically said something about Mochas on the window, but saw nothing of that inside. The food was actually pretty good. As other people said, the homemade multigrain toast was worth the extra $ 1. Would have been 2 stars but they brought over an offer of fresh watermelon, which was nice; everyone was friendly; and I specifically watched the cook step into the seating area to try to eat something and she specifically said it(I’m a stickler for sanitation procedures). I doubt I’d be back. Wish they used a little creativity. Even a daily special would probably do it!

This is a local gem, friendly employees, good food(I know it’s weird, but try the multigrain toast. It’s awesome.), classic diner vibe. Omelet was very good. Not extraordinary, really, but a solid B. Well worth a visit. Cash only.

This is a hidden place, tucked away near the Hamilton downtown. It’s small and friendly and if you live locally you are sure to run into someone you know there. Very good coffees, baked goods and sandwiches.

I was puppysitting in Wenham and thinking of checking out GrassyRoots for breakfast this morning but then saw the reviews for this place. i walked ther from Cherry St and it took a little over 35 minutes. I got scrambled eggs which were average and a little dry. However the homemade multigrain bread was amazing. I wouldn’t be opposed to going back to check-out their sandwhiches.

I went here for the first time today, after years of driving by and not even knowing it was there. This coffee shop has about 10 different varieties of coffee, plus breakfast and lunch items — I had two eggs over easy and some of their homemade multi-grain toast — which was, as my friend said, WAY too good. Makes me wish I still believed in carb-loading. Alas, no.. but it was very tasty. Large coffee, two large eggs and two huge slabs of homemade toast slathered with lots of salty real butter — about 5.50. Paper plates, plastic flatware — but who gives a pooey. If you want a lingering, sit down, slightly classier diner/coffee shop experience — drive a little farther down into North Beverly and go to Depot Diner. I’m tempted to add a star because it’s within walking distance of my work but.. . I guess that’s not really relevant.. .:) They take credit cards, there is decent parking, and nice outdoor seating. I suspect I will go here far more often than I should.
