My daughter got her first haircut here. They let her choose a movie to watch and she could choose which seat to sit in. We didn’t have to wait, but they had coloring books, etc in the waiting area. This place is perfect for kids.

I took my 14 month old and I don’t recommend going there. The floor was filthy. The car he sat in to get a haircut was full of hair. Kayla did his haircut and she did not do a bad job, but I could have done what she did myself. Her coworkers sat and made comments about my child while I waited to check out. They may not have thought they were rude, but I felt one of the comments to be offensive. It was overpriced for what they provided. Next time I will do more research. Only one star.

This place has been the best with my 20 month old. Took the time and patience to provide what we needed and wanted. Definitely will keep going back!

Place is fun and entertaining for kids. They have them pick a movie for their hair cut. Aida is my son stylist and we are very happy with her. My son loves getting a hair cut with Aida, she’s great.

We drove quite a ways to get to this salon for our sons first haircut. On their website, it states that the customer will get a frame with a picture of the child having their haircut. This didn’t happen. I am so happy we had our dear friends to help us snap shots of the experience. We did receive a little paper in a plastic bag with a cutout to display a locket of his hair. The stylist were nice, not exciting or outgoing. The haircut was very mediocre. There were two little chairs to choose from. We chose the fire engine and our son was able to watch a video while having his hair cut. This was cute. Though our experience was what we made from it, there were some perks to having his haircut here however, I do not plan to make this drive again.

I brought my son to Cool Cuts 4 Kids after he got a terrible haircut from Super Cuts the prior weekend. I was really impressed by the whole place. My little one went straight for the train table. They also had a lego table, a video game station, and a tv in front of each chair(or vehicle rather) We got an extremely nice girl named Tiana who was really good with my son. She took the time to make sure everything was perfect, she even went over the top with a second type of scissors(she informed soften the cuts) which I’ve never seen a stylist take the time to do with a little boys cut. She then finished off with some pomade which he just loved! The only reason this review is 4 stars and not 5 is the price. $ 18 is pretty hefty, but I’ve been to nicer salons were its $ 20-$ 25 for a kids cut(of course I was there for me, not the kids!). So if this is the middle ground then I’m perfectly ok with that. I was given a few coupons for my next visits and I made sure to sign up for their mailing list, which I hope will mean more coupons! Oh and I almost forgot, as a first time guest we also got 20% off one of their boutique items, so I grabbed a pair of cute RayBan inspired shades for my son. He felt like a total rockstar.

I have brought my daughter there many times. Hair cuts WERE $ 12.95. Many things for her to do and keep her occupied while getting her hair cut. This one WONDERFUL girl there that my Toddler LOVED. She ended up moving to Texas. The last time I was in there for my daughter’s hair cut was Sept ’12. Then my husband and I decided out ALMOST one year old needed a trim. His hair by his neck needed to be even and the sides by his ears needed a trim. We were near cool cuts and that’s where we bring our daughter so we stopped by. We signed in. There was no one in waiting area except us. One kid was kid was getting their hair cut and one employee was sweeping and another was just sitting in a chair. After 15 minutes, I took my boy and asked«how much is it to get this part trimmed and this part trimmed?» She said«all cuts are 17.95. I almost pooped my pants. My daughter ‘s hair was always $ 12.95. Price went up dramatically. I told her that it was just a little trim on a baby and if they could make up a cheaper price. She said she’ll talk it over and then came back to me and said, «$ 17.95». I said«No, we are leaving!» I won’t pay that for a baby’s first trim. I won’t pay that for my daughter. As a matter of fact, I get my haircut 5 miles outside NYC when I am up visiting for $ 25. That’s a wash, cut, blow dry and style at a salon I have been going to for 15 years. So I left all aggravated. We stopped by a salon nearby in New Tampa and asked how much and you know what they said? «Bring that boy in here, we’ll do that free of charge!» We gave that nice woman an awesome tip! So what do we do now? Well, last few times we were up in Jersey, my son’s Godfather gave him a cut with a buzzer. It was cute! My daughter goes near our house in Wesley Chapel to the Supercuts and gets a hair cut for 6.95. I bring the personal DVD player and she gets to watch a movie and comb her Rainbow Dash’s hair. It’s ALL good. Cool cuts is a WASTE of money. They are OVERPRICED and ridiculous. Go somewhere else!!! $ 17.94 is NOT worth a haircut for a child. They rip you off!

Lots of good things about this place, but almost as many not so good things. I continue to take my youngest child there because of the experience it offers, but I do it every time kicking and screaming. And if she were a boy(meaning, needing more frequent haircuts as opposed to the twice per year my daughter needs) then I’d definitely find somewhere else. The pros: The inside is bright, cheerful, and clean. They do appointment times, which I wish I had noticed before. As you walk in, they have a play area to the right where you can wait, along with some video games hooked up to TV’s on the other side for older kids. While the kids get their hair cut, they can choose to sit in a regular seat, or a taxi, firetruck, or race car. They can also choose which DVD they’d like to watch, and there’s quite an assortment of Disney and Nickelodeon favorites. They can also opt to play a video game. Win for wiggly kids. If that’s not enough, they have toys in the drawer for your child to play with(although, I will pass, I don’t want my kid touching something that’s been handled by other peoples’ crying, drooling, snotty children). The employees are usually very nice, and you can sit very near to your child while they get their trim. When finished, kids get a lollipop, and if it’s their first haircut they even give you a keepsake card to put their first trim into. Now, the cons. Price. Just a basic cut, no shampoo or style, and not even a full blow dry will run you about $ 18. They do have some sort of rewards program, but I’ve yet to reap any rewards from this so called rewards program. The wait. I arrived at 3:45pm on a Monday after school, with no one in the waiting area. Two kids were having their hair cut by two employees that work there. An hour later, we were finally seated and getting ready to get our trim. They took people with an appointment ahead of everyone else, which is great if you have an appointment. But this place really wasn’t THAT busy, so I’m not sure what the deal was. Next con is the toys. No, not the toys for them to play with because that’s great and keeps their attention. The toys near the checkout. Like, say Johnny really enjoyed playing with Thomas the Train, well, low and behold there’s a packaged Thomas ready to go right by the checkout! I can only imagine the nightmares some parents are faced with. But then again, if bribery is your route, this might be a pro for you(although I’m sure the prices are ridiculous). Lots of hairbows and other things for sale, as well, and hair products, of course. If your kid is happy and well-behaved for a regular haircut, take them to a regular old place. But if you have a fidgety child that dislikes the haircutting experience, give this place a try.
