Murphy’s Pet Parlor

Absolutely the worst hair cut I have ever seen on a Maltese dog. The staff is friendly, they were kind enough to get his haircut done quickly as I didn’t know they would close at 1pm on a Monday when the drop off time was 10am. However, it’s like a 5 year old cut his hair, chopped all over, bald spots over his body, they didn’t clip his nails, they burned his belly with the clippers and he wasn’t even all the way dry when I picked him up. I have been trying to contact the owner since the minute I left to get a refund (I made the payment before I saw him) and she doesn’t return my calls. DO NOT GO THERE!

I am shocked at what happened when trying to redeem a groupon. The «owner» as she titled herself, said the$ 55 valued groupon wasn’t valid for grooming services… only spa services and there would be additional charges to get our dog groomed. It seems like she is upset she used groupon for marketing and trying to scam customers for an additional charge. I would NEVER support this business and recommend if pets are treated like people… BUYER BEWARE!!! My advice is go somewhere else!

I love how happy my Mia is when I pick her up from Murphy’s! She smells so good too; I don’t know what they do, but I cannot get her to smell this good! Who wants to clean their glands? I know I don’t like it but it has to be done! Thanks to Murphy’s for being a all around one stop shop! This will be my Mia’s lil get away forever and ever! Thanks from me to you!

My experience was similar to Mel’s, the other reviewer on here. I made an appointment for my 2 dogs and when I dropped them off, no one asked for shot records, my address or my phone number. They never even asked what the dog’s names were. I told them not to worry about hand plucking my Brussels Griffon, just to trim her. She was returned to me shaved. Completely. I don’t think they are familiar with the different breeds and they never asked what breeds the dogs were. They did an ok job on my poodle. I will definitely not use them again.

I called at 8:30am and no one called me back. I called a second time at 11am and made a 1pm appointment. I dropped my boy ontime at 1pm and asked for a poodle cut with shaved face and feet when I dropped him off. They never asked me any information like has he had his shots? They didn’t take my address or my cell number. All they had was the caller ID when I called to set the appointment. I called at 5:15pm and was told he is almost finished and they would call me. After 7 hours I went to pick up my baby. They never called me and it was hitting 8pm! I was told he wasn’t ready yet. I waited in their store and they finally said he was ready at 8:20pm. He was given a bath and a little trim. Groomer said it always takes 7 hours to groom a dog in her experience. She also said no one told her I wanted a poodle cut. She offered for him to come back the next day but no way would I ever let them groom him again. They never apologized for running so late, or not calling me to keep me informed. I did pay and told them they lost my business. Worst experience I ever had with a grooming salon. With their customer service they most likely will be closing soon.
