Churchill III Luxurious Limousine

This past Saturday July 25, 2015 we rented the Silver Hummer for our daughter’s Quinciañera and it was horrible!!! Besides paying over $ 1300 for only two hours of service.

1) There was no air conditioning and it was over 80 degrees
2) No music for the kids
3) The main seat was broken and kids were flying off their seats
4) The driver was inexperienced driving
I emailed RoseMary and received no response back. I called her, introduced myself and right away she was with a client. Why would she answer the phone if she is in the middle of something? She knew exactly who I was. I would not recommend this limousine services to anyone at all.

WORST experience I’ve ever had with a company, if you can call it that.
I hired churchill limo to celebrate my birthday and drive around Madison for a few hours. From the beginning, Ken was difficult to work with, however, that is not the difficult part of my night. Ken assured me that the driver of the bus, Steve, is of the highest quality, knows Madison very well, and would make sure to make my night perfect.
It became very clear when I met Steve that he could not even place Madison on a map, let alone navigate through the city. He admitted that he does not ever drive in Madison and I would have to tell him how to get around for the night. An hour into my ride, after having to give the driver directions on how to get around Madison to our destinations, he was pulled over by two officers for driving the WRONG DIRECTION on a FOUR LANE ONE WAY STREET. Even this setback did not upset me to the point of writing this review. On top of this, the police ordered us off of the bus because the driver was UNLICENSED. Yes, Churchill was negligent enough to hire an idiot without a license to drive a large vehicle around all night. The bus was towed and me and my 25 guests were stranded miles from where we started and began our long walk home in the middle of winter.
When I called Ken that night to deal with the situation he refused a refund for my experience (even though we had only used 1 of our 3 hours) and insisted that the oversight was through his insurance company. Absolutely negligent, unprofessional, and ignorant. We are currently using a lawyer to deal with the situation because clearly, Churchill does not know what they are doing.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, you will absolutely regret it!

My husband and I were married in late May of 2010. As with the previous poster (David B from Madison) the limo was the absolute worst part of our day.
I’ll start with the chapel. We were getting ready and lining up for the wedding. Let me be clear: I was the bride. Not a bridesmaid, but the bride. So imagine my surprise, 2 minutes before the wedding, my phone goes off — it’s the driver. «I’m here and waiting outside. Are you coming out?» I replied that I was about to head down the aisle in a few minutes — did he think he could wait? «Sure.»
The ceremony goes off without a hitch! We are both happy and walk down the aisle, out the doors, to the waiting limo… no — wait. There is no waiting limo. Apparently, just before we walked out the door, he remembered he had to get gas. Now, why he wouldn’t have done that beforehand (or during the ceremony) is beyond me. I didn’t feel it was a big deal at the time, (despite the jarring phone call beforehand), we had an impromptu receiving line outside. It worked.
The limo driver arrived. (we had the 10-​passenger limo, by the way). We were gathering the wedding party up, and we all piled in the limo to go take some pictures.
Since it was later May and it was sunny out, it was warm. As we soon found out, it was really warm. The air conditioning did not work. Yes, the air conditioning was broken. Our wedding party was roasting the whole 30 minute ride. Please keep in mind, as we found out later, Churchill has an easy out for this solution. In the fine print of the contract, as we found out later after review, the limo company is not responsible for the air conditioning to WORK at 65 degrees and over! Wow! Really — you would think at 65 and over you would want to guarantee it? What a pant load.
Also — we attempted to check out the limo we would be using when we went to sign the contract, but were told we could not see it because it was «being fixed.» However, we were assured, if there were any problems, we would get a «free upgrade.» Great! What happened to the upgrade? Or maybe the A/​C just happened to break down that day, right? Perhaps they were fixing the A/​C when we attempted to look at the limo? Either way it should have been a warning sign and we should have have known to run.
I should also mention that the A/​C in the driver’s cab was working perfectly, because one of our groomsmen was sitting by the sliding window and enjoying the cool air. How nice that the driver was able to enjoy it. (and the mandatory $ 100 tip for opening our doors for us).
After our photos were taken, my father in law (a mechanic) had noticed several issues with the limo. Mainly a tire about to go flat, a cracked bumper, and issues with the frame. (I believe he said the frame was cracked as well). Great! I’m just glad we made it to our reception alive.
Oh yeah, our reception — it was about 10 miles away, but the driver managed to get lost in a Walmart parking lot. I’m not kidding — the reception hall was located in Delafield off of I-​94. Somewhere along the line he took a wrong turn and went out of his way, through a nice parking lot detour. I would have been amused at the time, had the sweat not been dripping down my legs.
So, we get to our reception somewhat on time, and pile out of the limo. The driver refused to get involved, and flatly told us to contact Ken, and he’d make it right.
After several emails to Rosemary and Ken, they «made it right.» A 2 hour gift certificate to any limo service. Great! Except… as stated right on the gift certificate, you have to book in 4 hour increments. Either way they made their money off of us from the wedding, and then would have made even more off of us, had we taken them up on their gift certificate to «make it right.»
I would never recommend this limo company to anyone. The prices are too good to be true because they have crummy limos and shoddy drivers. If I could do it over again I would pay the extra money and go with a reputable service.

I’ll begin with what Churchill III Limousine was on our wedding day: The worst part of our day. We thought we’d splurge and get a big party bus for everyone in our wedding party to take us to the church, to get pictures, then to the reception. Great fun, right?
To start, the driver was late. No biggy, it happens, but he put salt in the wound when he prompted asked my father-​in-​law, «You heard about the mandatory $ 100 tip, right?» Classy. The driver proceeded to get lost (GPS and all) en route to the church, thus we were late. Did we also mention it was 85 degrees that day and there was no air conditioning in the back? All the flowers wilted and all the ladies make-​up was sweat away. Okay, sometimes stuff happens, so when we asked if he needed directions to where we were getting pictures taken he said no, he had the address (on the itinerary at the bottom of a stack of papers) and it would be fine. Two hours later, ie, more than enough time to figure out directions and a GPS, we were on our way to go get our pictures taken. In fact, before we even left the church three people, yes, three people, asked if he needed directions and he told us all no. Within five minutes, we were lost. Who stepped in to play GPS? The groom. So instead of spending time with our wedding party in the still 100 plus degrees bus I was at the front of the bus (were the air conditioning worked, hmm…) and was giving the driver directions. Needless to say again, we were late to pictures and then late to the reception. The owner, Ken, graciously gave us an extra hour of service due to the fact we were 15 minutes over our allotted time. The driver later reported to Ken giving us more than a hour extra. We are not sure what he did for that hour, but we sure has heck weren’t joy riding on the bus because we were already late to the reception. Anyway, more wilted flowers for our pictures, more make-​up smudged off and $ 2000+ down the drain in limo service, flowers and make-​up.
On our honeymoon I called to speak with Ken who was highly unprofessional. In my attempt to speak calmly about the incident Ken would not let me get a word in and eventually hung up on me. I attempted to contact Ken when we returned only to be hung up on again when he thought I was a salesman — Always great for business. We finally talked like grown-​ups and I was told I needed to come to Milwaukee (1.5hrs one way from Madison) to discuss the days events with him and the driver in order to, «See who was lying» because «I’m (Ken) really good at figuring out who is lying when I can talk to people face to face» all so we could maybe be refunded one hour, approximately $ 250 for a ruined experience. I will say he offered us a free upgrade for our next event, but please refer to our occupations — teacher and nurse — there will not be a ‘next event’ for us requiring any limo company.
After weeks of trying to find a day I could just «zip over to Milwaukee» and blow six hours of my life to maybe get $ 250 back, the driver suddenly is no where to be found and Ken «doesn’t know what to do now.» Instead of believing me, the unhappy customer, and refunding us $ 250 he decided to play hard to get and has forced me to play hardball and make sure he looses a lot more than $ 250 on our experience.
Case in point: Don’t go with Churchill III Limousine. I’m not saying the air conditioning won’t work or the driver will get lost, because again, that stuff could happen with any company you may choose to go with. What I am saying is that if something does happen they will not stand by their product or their service. There is a reason they are the cheapest around and I would say you get what you pay for, but we didn’t even get that. Do you and your party a favor and go with someone else, in the long run you won’t regret it. I would have rated them a 0/​5, but it’s not an option.
