Wow I’m astonished. Is that the right word for, um. Well, I walk in. Seat myself as I know I’m supposed to. The extremely unpleasant and greatly distressed waitress comes up to my table and asks what do I want today? My order? I said I needed a minute to see if my friend was still meeting me and I’m in no hurry(btw I’m a SERVER) I get it, it’s a mini lunch rush. She says«Well, I’m busy and you’re not the only one here!» I politely say, I’ll have a water THANKS. several minutes pass and the other more pleasant waitress comes up to me. I tell her that I am still waiting to see if my friend wanted to order any food and that I needed a minute. 10 minutes go by I make eye contact with her three times to let her know that I am ready and not once has she ever come back to my table. It’s time for me to go… goodbye Griddlers Café. As a server who works at an extremely busy Milwaukee restaurant(lunch & breakfast) I am very easy please and an awesome tipper.

Always great for a late night snack. Waitresses are always very friendly and efficient. Food is always good. Just a plain no no nonsense atmosphere. If you are a coffee drinker they have a bottomless cup of coffee. There coffee is not to bad. Not as good as Starbucks. But I am a Starbucks snob. All in all everything is always good.

Decided to edit after several visits. If the food and service were more consistent it’d be a lot better. Sometimes the food is cold, sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s burnt. Service from waitresses s lacking, my friend shouldn’t have to wait 25min for the waitress to remember to bring her drink. Waitresses are more interested in talking to their friends and going outside to smoke in front every 10 minutes, never saw anyone wash their hands. Hire better staff that’s more professional and make your food more consistent and maybe I’d try again… that’s a big maybe though

Eh, really more of a 1.5 rating. This is a definition of a greasy spoon. It’s even lower quality than the George Webbs it used to be. I ordered French toast, hash browns and coffee. My husband ordered an omelet. Upon tasting the coffee I almost spit it out. It tasted like recycled coffee grounds. It was so weak tasting, there was barely any brown to the coffee in our cups. Then our food came. What we received was a greasy, gut-bomb, severe stomach cramp-inducing hot mess. The service was ok, but when we walked in we saw one of the cooks burning a cig out at the butt hut. It’s not something that really conveys the idea of, «Boy, I’m hungry, I can’t wait to get in here and order some tasty food!» I just don’t think we’ll be back. With the other options out there, it’s not a place I really care to go back to.

This was basically a breakfast stop before golf. I’ve been here before when it was a Webbs. Our server said she was new so that lowered the expectations some. I gave an easy order of a Denver omelette with white toast. It was fine. The server would stop by several times with coffee so no problem there. 5−27−13

We stopped in here for a quick breakfast; first visit. This location used to be a Webb’s that we never went to. My lady ordered well done bacon, one pancake and toast. I ordered an eggbeater Denver Omelet with well-done hash browns and a buttermilk biscuit instead of toast. In about ten minutes, a new, different server brought out my omelet and stated the pancake/bacon order would be just a minute more. Hmmm. The minute turned into a long wait before our second meal, pancake and bacon, was served. We said and asked nothing. The server said nothing; no acknowledgment of our meals being served about eight minutes apart. Unfortunately for us, the bacon was not well done, as ordered, but rather the opposite; limp and undercooked, but by the time that was noticed, the server had left. Though there were several other servers milling about, we had a difficult time getting someone’s attention until our original server, who took our order, came to the table. We sent back the bacon, reminding the server we had ordered well done bacon. Another ten minutes went by before well done bacon was brought to the table. The server said nothing. We said nothing, again. My Denver omelet was good. The hash browns were well done but had a bitter tang and the flavor/texture of reheated, stale potatoes. Minimally, the servers here seemed personable, but it is obvious they need some training and supervision when it comes to service. Additionally, I don’t know what to say about the kitchen, other than for whatever reason, the cook made our two breakfasts one after the other instead of at the same time and apparently failed to read the servers order regarding«well done» bacon. All in all, I would not go out of my way to eat here again.

My friend and I went here for breakfast today. This is a George web knock off. The food was OK. The menu had a glob of butter which was all over my thumb. The place looked clean. The staff was fast and friendly. The menu is small compared to a Greek breakfast place. This is just a generic George Webb style restraunt. The guy behind me asked if it was too early for take out and the server said yes as she went to the counter to hand over a brown bag and take money from another customer who left with take out, WTF. This is not my kind of breakfast place but it’s not horrible. The food was OK for the most part. The ham is a processed roll and not real, ham has to be off the bone always period. Every thing was cooked ok and served fast. Over the whole meal the place filled up so it must not be horrible. The Coffey is bland so if good Coffey is the coroner stone of your breakfast you might want to keep driving.

Stopped in to try the new deli sandwiches we saw on the tv commercials. Enjoyed the Café Classic. Turkey and Bacon with cheese and a sweet BBQ sauce. Service was excellent. We will be back to try some more off the deli menu! Thanks Griddlers!

I wish i could give it 0 stars. Don’t take a George Webb’s, change the name and serve lower quality food and expect it to make money. It won’t. Place sucks. Food is honestly worse. Where ever they get they supply from, is worse. The apparently thought they could buy a Webb’s, change the name, pay less for their food and in the process, make more money. Let me quote Charlie Murphy, «WRONG!» «WRONG!» They thought that it was the geographic location that would make them money. Wrong. They will not last, they suck, food quality was bad, portions were smaller than they were with G Dubbs, and i know no one can believe this, but the usually low quality servers, were even more LOW quality. We have all grown to love the«characters» that would be servers at Webbs at bar time, these folks they got now, are of a lesser grade. Like they gotten living somewhere close, and all they do is work at sh*T girdlers, ilke Uumpa Luumpa’s in willy wonka. Down with this stupid place. Webb’s was a mainstay in the area, the name kept its business respectable. They f’d that up.
