I appreciate the thoughtful response from Paul(the owner). I am definitely going to give The Maids another shot. I believe that the reply from the owner was not only prompt, but professional as well. I will say that I have always been treated with courtesy and respect by this company. I think when someone genuinely tries to make you happy as a customer, you need to meet them half way. I’m adjusting my rating to 3 stars(A-Ok, in terms of Unilocal’s scoring system). And I am confident that The Maids will make good on their promise, so I look forward to giving them an even higher rating the next go-around.

i experienced the same disappoinment with the Maids. After tthe groupon breach, they offered me a «deal» 3x more than what I spent.(They actually would have made MORE not spliting the groupon deal with groupon!) Frustated, too, that there is no one available by phone for appointment confirmation, etc… waited weeks for a call back, until they wanted more money. Bigger isn’t better… These private hard working cleaning ladies, answer their phones & do a nice job for less. If they cannot afford a receptionist, or at least someone to pick up calls DAILY, I do not see how Paul can offer«unsurpassed customer service or exceed any customers expectations»!

It is unfortunate that it takes posting bad reviews all over facebook, Unilocal,yahoo, filing a complaint with the BBB to make the franchise owner, Paul, show some class and decent customer service skills. Don’t be sucked into his traps only to be disappointed by his rudeness. If the Groupon seems to be good to be true, likely it is!

Paul is confused. My complaint has very little to do with the Groupon. My complaint is that he called me rude, lied to me, and hung up on me. And yes, I did try to redeem 3 groupons for one household. But I was honest about it from day one and he told me he would honor them. I never knew that was his problem until now. If he had just called me after the first two Groupons had been used up and said he couldn’t afford to honor the last one I would have said«O.K. just refund me the money, but keep coming as scheduled because I want my house cleaned regularly as we discussed.» The end. That’s all that needed to be done to keep me happy. But instead he stopped coming, called me rude, lied to me, and hung up on me.
