Lion-Aire

Prompt, courteous and (apparently) honest and effective HVAC cleaning.
The only major problem with Lion-​Aire is the one-​sided and overbroad (and typo-​riddled) indemnification provision it tried to get me to sign.

I had an old Ice Cap 8RSK18 Unit that failed on me at the end of June. Trying to get one of these replaced in Brooklyn during the summer is not an easy task. I was getting 2 – 4 week turnaround times for appointment, companies not returning calls and the only unit everyone wanted to sell me was a knob control unit. If i wanted a digital wireless thermostat unit, I had to wait at least a month and some companies didn’t even want to bother with it.
John & Lionaire had a brand new Ice Air wireless thermostat unit installed in a week. John was professional courteous and responded to calls and texts. He answered all of my questions, his techs arrived on time and promptly swapped out the old unit and replaced it with the new unit. The whole thing took about 30 minutes. The unit was already pre-​configured to work with the wireless thermostat so as soon as they turned it on it was ready to go. I highly recommend John & Lionaire for all of your PTAC needs and I will be using him again to replace my living room PTAC and for future service.

Our Ice Cap PTAC died during a terrible heatwave. John and his crew were professional from beginning to end. They delivered a brand new unit (a 2013 Ice Air) to our Manhattan condo within a day and during the one hour timeframe they promised us. The price was competitive. All phone calls and texts were promptly returned. Our apartment is cool and comfortable, and we have Lion Aire to thank. It’s about 90 degrees outside now, but we’re not feeling the heat. I even recommended them to our neighbor, whose AC is dying. They’re coming on Monday. And I think I can safely say she’s gonna be a happy camper, too! (PS: If your building requires a certificate of insurance, they’ll take care of it.) They came fully prepared. Couldn’t be happier.
