This place is a hole in the wall. It’s the type of comic book store that repels new readers and customers. It’s just a bunch of unorganized long boxes and newer issues are just kind of strewn about. I walked in and made direct eye contact with the owner(?) and he didn’t even acknowledge me. I don’t think I saw one non marvel or DC comic. Whatever you do, don’t go here.

You don’t see a lot of shops with a vintage feel like this one. It’s a small place but full of boxes of old, classic comics. Got a great deal on a book that would normally cost a lot more anywhere else. Owner was friendly and knowledgable. As a collector, Long Island Comics has very few collectibles. If you’re looking to search through some boxes to find your childhood favorites or other gems, this place is for you. Will definitely return if I’m in the area.

There’s a reason Frank has been in business for this many years. Possessing an infinite patience for difficult customers, and one of the best selections anywhere, this is THE store to visit on Long Island.
