We eat here at least once a month very good food and service.

Excellent German food. Crab leg special was simply a huge serving. Party of 4 everyone very satisfied with leftovers for home. Bill just over $ 100 with drinks. Great deal.

Really, really good. From the food to the service, everything here was above & beyond. The food came relativity quickly & was all really good. We ordered the open faced meatloaf sandwich, Bourbon chicken sandwich, and Braise burger, mashed potatoes & curly fries. Our server was really great, made wonderful suggestions & was really attentive without hovering. Will definitely be coming back here in the future.

Well after waiting 15 minutes for my country fried steak I was informed that there was no sausage gravy. So after another 10 minutes I’m still waiting for my ham and eggs. Two of our the meals are here. Still waiting. And I might add that there is no one else here. Now I know why we hadn’t been here in a while. Well, I feel it would only be right to edit my review. The waitress did comp the meal and provide a gift certificate for a future visit. I didn’t come for a free meal but that was a great gesture and shows that they care. A great gesture.

Saturday, starting at 4:30pm, they have all you can eat snow crab legs. They keep your butter warm and the waitstaff is friendly and efficient. A great atmosphere too! Rustic.

Came here New Years Day. The positives are that the food we ordered was Excellent. Authentic German Cuisine. We had a couple appetizers to start off: The Fried Brie and German Platter. Delish! Our entrée’s were excellent as well. If I had to rate this restaurant strictly on food it would be 5 stars. However, the service was absolutely horrible! I wish the staff wore name tags so you could report them to management, but our waitress was a young dark haired girl, wore braces and glasses. When asked what kind of soup they had she replied«I’m not sure… do you want me to check?». When asked what kind of chaser beer came with the Bloody Mary’s we had ordered she once again replied«I’m not sure, I can ask for you». We had placed our empty glasses and plates at the edge of the table for her to take away and she didn’t…they just sat there in plain view for a very long time until we finally had to ask her to take them away. We were never asked if we wanted a refill on our glasses of water(Once again we had to ask if we could get a refill). Unacceptable. When working in a restaurant it is common sense and normal protocol to clear empty dishes off tables, refill water glasses, ask customers if they want to try any dessert, KNOWTHEMENU and what is served with items and what the soup of the day is. Basically be attentive to your guests and knowledgeable. She even screwed up a basic beer that was ordered! She came to the table and said«Oh that’s right you wanted ______, do you want me to take this one back?» Um hello, don’t ask just correct your error. Our waitress was the worst, but there was another woman I believe was the hostess and she seated us and brought water out right away, but spilled a large amount of water on the table. She should have wiped up the mess, but didn’t(and she noticed for it spilled on her hand as well). Her and our waitress seemed out of it and«spacey». The only staff member on the floor that seemed to have some hustle in their step and good customer service skills with the guests was a bald headed guy. Another downer was the Bloody Mary’s. They were good tasting, however not what was advertised(see pic attached). No bacon, no little slider cheeseburger, etc. Deliver what you advertise. Décor was decent… I liked the German pictures on the walls. A little small, but cozy. The waitress and hostess need to be trained on basic things(noted above) and would have been nice to have been asked by one of them«Hi, welcome to The Braising Pan is it your first time here?» «We have a good selection of German Beer and feel free to ask me any questions on any of our menu items» When serving the appetizers would have been nice to have had her explain to us what the items were(for other party members that may be unaware), etc. This takes a dining experience to another level and increases tips for the waitstaff and better odds that a customer will not only return, but share the great experience with others. So A+ on Food, C on Drink, F on Service.

Had breakfast with my wife this morning. Busy but worth the wait. Had a dish called the Armageddon. Three huge biscuits covered with gravy sausage, bacon, eggs to order and hash browns. Love a challenge but it was massive. Definitely leftovers. Great service.

We thought we were hungry when we got here… we really did. Everything on the menu looked good and we couldn’t decide if we wanted to split an entrée or each get our own. So we decided to start with the German nachos and go from there. They’re fairly gigantic(definitely designed for more than two people), very tasty, and very heavy. And they pretty much guaranteed the two of us were not getting an entrée at all. We had just enough room for the deep fried brie, which was *amazing*. We had to force ourselves to finish it because we were stuffed but there was no way we were going to let any of that go to waste. Our server was very sweet, but she had a high-maintenance table next to us who needed everything explained in great detail every time she stopped by, so we didn’t get a lot of attention.(She was very apologetic about it though, and it wasn’t something we could really hold against her…) Drinks were average and prices were unsurprising. We had grand plans to go back again before we rolled on out of West Bend, but we ran out of time. Definitely on our to-do list when we come back next summer.

The food is awesome! And the mimosas are even better. Highly recommend, especially on a Sunday morning. The eggs benedict is the best I’ve had.

The breakfast food is very good but the wait is awful. Been sitting here over 35 min and just had the waitress tell us our food will be up soon. It’s a weight loss regimen in disguise.

Holy crap man. This place is great. The interior isn’t all that special, it’s nice and it’s clean but nothin to write home about. There’s outdoor seating for 30 people, which is nice but the view is lacking. The staff was very attentive and kind, but not overbearing. The food though… completely amazing. I’ve had very little of the menu, I’ll add more to this list in time. Spinach and Artichoke dip — perfectly smooth, served with these soft garlic cuts of flat bread. A hard dish to mess up, but respectable when it’s done so perfectly. Bourbon Burger — my eyes rolled back in my head with every bit I took. I swear, this is right at the top of my list of best burgers ever. The bun was perfectly toasted, the meat was cooked exactly how I asked, the sauce was a rich and sweet bourbon glaze with champagne caramelized onions. It was incredible. You have no idea. Drinks We ordered a couple raspberry mojitos, and they were spot on. Edit 1: Lowered my rating to a 3. Went to The Braising Pan for breakfast and it was very average. I know there’s typically only so much you can do with bacon, eggs, and pancakes… but, for the basics, they just weren’t that good.

My four year daughter had chocolate chip pancakes and was thrilled. I had spinach soup and a half of sandwich and loved it. The price is great. The service is super nice. I always like coming here. Money well spent.

I’ve had good experiences ever time I’ve been here. They have good service, good food, and decent prices. What more do you want? It is a little on the small side so sometimes there can be a wait. Call ahead for reservations on Friday and Saturday night for sure. Make sure you try their German potato salad. Awesome stuff.

My girlfriend and I read the reviews and went for breakfast this morning. I will start this review by letting you know that the reviews of great food and spotty service are almost completely accurate We went at 6:30AM, so we almost missed the building because in the dark of pre-dawn, the building(in a small strip) could be missed easily. The ambiance and décor were warm and combined rustic with modern and the early morning smell of cooking food was pleasing. We were greeted upon entering, but the single waitress(initials AS from bill) did not seem inviting(lack of smile and somewhat distant in interaction). She sat us at a booth and as I looked around, we saw that there were two other couples in booths and a single diner at the counter this early morning. Upon seating, the waitress took our drink order, checked on a table and then promptly filled our drinks and returned. I ordered the Mexican Skillet with scrambled eggs, dollar pancakes, and orange juice. My girlfriend got the steak and eggs(she went with the Prime Rib and over easy) with dollar pancakes as well, along with some coffee. The juice was fresh and the coffee was strong and flavorful. The food came out in a reasonable time and was hot, smelled tempting, and was presented well. My girlfriend always asks for separate plates(a food touching issue) and was accommodated perfectly. The skillet was layered nicely with crisp hash browns on the bottom, the skillet ingredients next and then topped with scrambled eggs. The salsa and sour cream atop were the perfect compliment. My girlfriend’s prime rib was done correctly and the eggs cooked perfectly. She had ordered a side of hollandaise and it was plentiful and freshly prepared. The silver dollar pancakes had hints of spice and flavor and were perfect sized as a complement to the meal. Overall, the meal was quite filling and tasted spectacular. The total of our bill was roughly $ 27.00 and for the portions given was of good value for the money. Although, comparatively, my skillet was $ 8.00 and the juice $ 2.75. The steak and eggs was $ 15.00 and the coffee $ 2.00. So, the value on food was superb and the value on beverage was average. Now, our waitress was accommodating and did her job well checking on the food and neeeds, but a friendly face and welcome in the early morning makes things perfect! We did get her to smile slightly near the end of the meal, but up until then, she was just a good server doing her job. I hope that she can be a bit more personal because it would raise my review from 4 stars to 5!!! Since this was our first visit, I will not say it is a trend or that other servers are similar, but it is the first impression! Thank you to the chef, waitress, and owners. It was a good morning!

We were in town and had an Entertainment book coupon for this restaurant so we gave it a shot. It was excellent! My wife had the smothered sirloin and it was cooked perfect. She had the German potato salad and it was the best I have ever had bar none. I had the scallops pasta that was also Devine. We will make a point to go back here again.

Maybe I’ve become a food snob since moving out of Wisconsin, but regardless this place was nothing special. My mom and I split the Patty Melt and the Monte Cristo. I was unimpressed by the Monte Cristo and should have just stuck with the Patty Melt. The Monte Cristo, is a combination of ham, turkey and Swiss cheese that is served between thin French toast. In theory it sounds great, right? Well, it’s not that great. The French toast was soggy– probably from the melted cheese and the mixture between sweet and savory was something I couldn’t wrap my mind around. Ps– if you were a big fan of their amazing steak fries, I hate to be the one to break it to you but they no longer serve those.

Very good breakfast. Very fast. Tasted homemade. We came up for ALMS, and was treated to an amazing and a fairly good priced meal. The waitresses that served us all very nice. It was a perfect Sunday morning breakfast.
