If you are looking for a beautiful and challenging golf course, Bay Pointe is for you. There is so much gorgeous scenery that you might not even mind the hazards! Ok, you will, but you will enjoy the challenge. My favorite is the hole that goes right along the edge of the lake, even though it has stolen a few of my balls! A round can be somewhat pricey, depending on the time of year and requested tee time, but it is worth it. The items available for purchase in the pro shop are also steep in price. Overall a very nice course and worth the trip.

This is a review of the course. You can’t beat the value at Bay Pointe. Friendly staff, excellent conditions, and a free bucket of balls for the range before you tee off. Grill at the turn has a friendly cook. Putting green is in beautiful shape, you can expect this quality on all 18 holes. Lot of water on the course to make things interesting. Beverage cart stopped by at least 5 times the whole round.

«You want to have a wedding at a golf course?!» is how I responded to my wife. I thought she was crazy. Neither of us like golf, we just don’t, but I’m glad we had our wedding here. While I can’t comment on the golfing experience, keep this place at the top of your list for hosting top-notch events. Bay Pointe has a nice open event space, but the the whole package is where the value is at. They don’t do tastings, so I was a little concerned. I was assured from a friend that he has been there a few times and I had nothing to worry about, and was he right. So right in fact that I swear people forgot we got married, because all I heard about was how spectacular the food was. I have to be honest, my recollection about the food are a little sparse. After all, I did just get married and was thinking about a lot of other things at the moment. I did, however, have to thank the chef personally, because whatever I put in my mouth was phenomenal. Twenty salads. Just let that sink in… Twenty salads! That’s what we had at our reception. That was standard in the buffet menu for one hundred guests! We selected four different entrees and one pasta, spinach ravioli with creamy Alfredo, and all were an absolute hit. Take my word for it, the food here is solid, and well worth every penny. I would gladly go back to eat there just for dinner if I had the option. Like to drink? It doesn’t matter, because your guest probably do! They have a full bar with premium liquors, top shelf if you’d like. The bartenders were great and did their job well. Justin was our wedding coordinator, and you couldn’t ask for anyone better to manage your wedding. It was looking like it was going to rain and he assured us to the last minute that we could have it inside if we needed to. Well, we pulled it off. Not a minute after I said«I do» did it start raining. We pulled off our perfect wedding right before the rain, and we couldn’t have done it without Justin. This place may be out of your budget, but if it ‘is’ within your means, you can’t ask for anything better than this for the price. The setting is great, the food is immaculate, and the drinks are the best. So hey, having a wedding on a golf course isn’t such a bad idea after all, even if you don’t care for golf all that much.

*Note this is not a review about the golf course We were recently married at Bay Pointe Golf Club and I can’t say enough good things about this venue. The location is beautiful! There is a gazebo on the lake to get married under and the inside was recently redone and looks gorgeous! There are large picture windows that open completely to a large deck that over looks the lake and gazebo. If you plan on getting married there, the bridal room is beautiful. It’s large and spacious and there are mirrors everywhere, it’s a gorgeous spot to take pictures before the wedding. Also, in comparison to many of the venues that I had looked at prior too, who ever books the place has it to themselves for the entire event. You don’t have to share or worry about party crashers from other events drifting over to your event. My husband and I are big into food, so food was an important factor for us. They did not disappoint, everyone to this day is still talks about how good the food was. We opted for the buffet option because for the same price we were able to have a much larger selection of food. Our buffet had at least 20 salads, 4 meats and a pasta choice. For meats we had ham and prime rib set up at a carving station, a chicken dish, and fried shrimp. The fried shrimp was delicious(as was all the other food). It was so good, my husband actually sought out the chef and thanked him. Now onto the staff. Justin was so helpful with planning the wedding and ensuring our wedding went smoothly. Before the wedding he answered all of our questions quickly. The day of the wedding he was awesome. It rained on and off most of our wedding day and we were scheduled to be married outside on the lake. He assured me he would wait till the last minute to make the call and he was true to his word. About 15 minutes before the wedding was supposed to start he came into tell me it was misting outside. He gave me the option to go or to bring it in. I said lets go for it and he got his staff out there to start wiping off chairs. He kept everything moving and we were able to be married out by the lake. I can’t thank him enough for that. Him and his staff were very attentive and helpful for the rest of the night as well. Overall, the Justin and the staff at Bay Pointe Golf Club helped make our wedding dreams come true. I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a wedding in the Metro Detroit area!

Go to the bay and point! I know your mother always told not to point at things! This is an awesome golf course. It’s immaculate. Greens are soft on your balls. Try thye twilight(after 4:00) golf. Eighteen holes and cart for $ 25. The only good thing missing was a good watering hole. If you want that head across the strret to CJ’s. The views on Middle Straits Lake are great. There are several holes along the lake(look for bikinis) that make it a good challenge. This used to be a members only country club. They had a nice but old and under used clubhouse. Stick to golf, you’ll like this place.

I paid $ 45 to play eighteen holes at the Bay Pointe Golf Club(formally country club). The course is immaculate. I understand it’s early in the season, but the greens, fairways, and fringe were absolutely perfect. Before teeing off, you can hit balls for free at the driving range which is a great way to warm up before a round of 18. A few of the holes border a lake which makes for some beautiful views and tough tee shots. Hopefully you aren’t a lefty with a slice because you’ll be screwed. The course is pretty open and flat for the most part so errant tee shots are usually forgivable. Oh and be sure to grab a hot dog from the outdoor stand at the turn. They are cooked in beer and taste delicious.
