Excellent Chinese food! Warning, the owner tends to drink a little too much and becomes really hilarious.

My review is based solely on the experience and not the food, as we didn’t actually eat there. I purchased a Groupon in February to dine here. It was set to expire in May, so a few days before, we tried to use it. There were no restrictions listed/nothing special that had to be done. The restaurant was difficult to get to, as there is currently a lot of construction in the surrounding area, and it’s in a strip mall that appears to be 80% vacant. I actually remarked to my husband, «No wonder they’re offering Groupons — business must be affected.» We went in. It was a Friday night. There were only two other tables filled. We were seated immediately. The waiter took our drink orders. When he came to take our food order, I mentioned we had a Groupon. He responded, «We stopped taking those.» I explained that it didn’t actually expire until the following Monday. He replied, «We stopped taking them 4 months ago.» Funny, since I bought mine 3 months ago. I said I’d like to speak to a manager. With an obvious attitude, he said he would be happy to get the manager. The manager(owner?) came right over and echoed what the waiter had said — they wouldn’t take it and I could contact Groupon to get my money back. He explained that the deal had been posted by an employee that didn’t have the authorization to do so and they had since been fired. It wasn’t like the deal was THAT amazing — $ 18 for $ 30 of food. It would have been wise for him to honor the ones that had been purchased, especially since it seems that he could use the business. He said if we didn’t want to dine there, we didn’t have to. I said we would not be dining there(the prices are quite high). As we were getting up to leave, the waiter really put the icing on the cake — he asked if we would be paying for the Coke he just brought to the table. We walked out and will certainly not be returning.

The food is very good but EXPENSIVE. With our $ 22 entrée we had get a salad with a choice of 2 dressings. If you wanted the Caesar salad you had to pay full price. You could get either wonton or hot and sour soup for and up charge. If you wanted their other soup you would AGAIN have to pay full price. Kinda makes you feel like your getting nickeled and dimed. At this point you might as well lower your prices and sell everything ala carte. This place would be so much busier if it ran its restaurant like this and get rid of its pricey reputation.

Ok, so it seems I write a lot of 5 star reviews lately, but this place is the REAL deal. We visited here on a Saturday night a number of years a go & were underwhelmed. It was loud & boisterous & a tad slow. Tonight, my wife suggested we give it another shot & am glad I listened to her. EVERYTHING was outstanding. Ambiance, service, food, cocktails all rated a double wow. Crab Rangoon with REAL crab, not filled with cream cheese & Krab with a K. Filled-to-the-brim egg rolls, yum. Different yet yummy hot & sour soup & I’ll take my wife’s word for it that the own ton soup was also good. Sweet & sour chicken my daughter had was light on the breading and the sauce. Delicately divine with a dusting of sesame seeds & pineapple. Other daughter’s chix lo me in was also light & tasty. The«Eur» in Eurasian came to play in my wife’s incredible Hawaiin mahi mahi. OMG! Delightful balance between sweet & heat with a dash of red curry. To. Die. For. Phenomenal, professional service from Whit, perhaps the most professional bartender/server I’ve encountered outside of NY/Boston/Philly/DC corridor. He reminded us of the dignity & class inherent in any professional who takes pride in their work. He made the overall experience of dining at Eurasian Grill a memorable event. Kudos to Dave, the owner, as well, who has done a remarkable job with this restaurant.

First I wish there were two categories to rate restaurants: food and service. Picked this restaurant to celebrate my wife’s birthday and heard some good things about it. We drove from Berkley to this restaurant in West Bloomfield for what was suppose to be a very pleasant birthday celebration. Except for the 30 – 40 minute wait for the food to arrive after we placed our order, we got wasabi dressing instead of balsamic vinaigrette dressing. It took one of the employees 3 passes during our wait to ask us what we had ordered. Our waitress came back withing a few minutes and explained that it was swamped in the back. Still more wait time. However when the food arrived it was great. We both enjoyed it immensely, though when the waitress asked us how the food was and we told her great she said it was worth the wait. No not really worth the 30 – 40 minute wait. I was also asked if I wanted the check while WEWERESTILLEATINGOURMAINMEAL!!! Did they want us to leave??? The lack of communication, as we figured later, started from the first. I told the person that seated us that it was my wife’s birthday and he responded that they don’t have any birthday deserts but they could put a candle on our desert when we ordered. Sounded great. We ordered our desert but it came without a candle or without a birthday greeting at all. When the bill was brought the waitress made the statement to me that she saw it was my wife’s birthday because she saw the birthday card I had given her at the beginning of the meal. She said she would wish my wife a happy birthday. Never happened. We will have to think very hard about going there again or even recommending the restaurant to others. I will surely be telling others about our experience. Shame…such good food.

Really? You will assume to charge $ 5.00 for additional sauce to help cover the taste of a Kroger U.S.D.A. Select grade NY Strip? I’ve been to this place many times over the years, and originally found it to be a unique place with interesting and qualified servers. Over last several visits, this place has slid into a category of decidedly ordinary. Tonight was the coup-de-grace with the arrogance of sending a waiter back to deliver such ridiculous news. Will not darken their doorway again. Way too many places that want my business more.

I bought a living social deal thinking this would be a good date night location for my daughter and me; however she stood me up, so I enjoyed an early dinner alone. :) This place is in a not very happening strip mall. I fear that coupled with their name & janky sign is not great for business. Once you step inside, everything changes. This is not a carry out, fast food Chinese restaurant. It is classy but not pretentious or over the top inside. My service was excellent. I went with simple classic Chinese fare because I find sometimes simple dishes are the hardest to pull off. Eurasian fried rice, crab Rangoon, and a glass of chianti because you don’t have that every day! The rice was delicious! My only real complaint was with the crab Rangoon… it was not completely heated through, and I believe it is made in house, which is wonderful except it appears they add cloves to it. I’m not sure that ingredient mixes well with that dish. The only other issue I had was it’s a little chilly inside. I like to be warm when I eat, but most of their clientele while I was there were men dressed in suits at the bar, so I was probably the only one who felt like this. I will definitely go back to try more elaborate dishes.

This place is a diamond in the rough great food. Salad included with dinner I suggest the wasabi dressing or the miso dressing. I’m sure raspberry vinaigrette is good but I only tried the two. Roberto was a great server, I will be back again. Definitely a great experience

A unique find, as an owner-operated restaurant, in the local restaurant scene. I always feel like a valued patron here even though I might only come in a couple times per year. Never had a bad meal here, and a couple of times have enjoyed a spectacular one. Service honestly has slipped a bit over the last year or so. It used to be top notch. All-in-all, still a one of a kind place that merits our return business.

I had the salmon which was glazed with a soy ginger sauce atop glazed julienned veggies & mashed potatoes. When I ordered I thought the potatoes were an odd side but they went great with the salmon. Salmon was perfectly cooked & I would definitely get again. For dessert we shared a lack luster brownie with vanilla cream. Nothing special & I’ve had much better. Would not get again. Con: Overpriced food is their biggest problem.

Value isn’t there for what you get. Our service was pretty bad. The«salad» that comes with your dinner is just lettuce, literally … Lettuce and dressing. The bread is good(same as outback). My husband ordered a noodle dish that was good — but nothing exciting nor any different than what you get at any Chinese place(just higher priced). I had the Curry Sea Bass. My dish was delightful, however I think they fried(?) the fish — I don’t know if they did but it was crispier which I wasn’t thrilled about because I was looking for something healthier. All-in-all a mediocre meal. Probably won’t be back.

This place is busy and I don’t know why! We’ve tried ths place several times and are always disappointed. We typically order off the American side of the menu to pair with a bottle of red wine. The wine prices are all over the place. The Meomi Pinot Noir is about $ 40-ish a bottle but the Bearboat Pinot which sells for a simalar price in stores is $ 65? They do have an above-average wine list but it helps to be knowledgeable about prices going in. On our recent visit, we ordered the roasted quail as an appetizer. It seemed like it was fried and was so hard we couldn’t really detect any meat on it. I ordered the seabass and my husband the filet. Both we only OK and I could have done better at home. Worse yet, there’s no attempt to pair these pricey entrees with compatible side dishes. We both got old-tasting bland mashed potatoes and overcooked vegetables. Our bill was over $ 150 — what a waste!

Its been a long time since we have been to this restaurant so last week we decided to give it another try. It is a white linen restaurant, no placements to be found. It is an intimate atmosphere, candles, mood lighting and quite. The menu is eclectic, gourmet and odd offerings, a mixture of East and West cuisines. There is the potential they will serve unique entries, not typically found in other national brand restaurants. Prices are high than the average place. It has a big wine list, if that’s important. So, ultimately, I’m mixed on this place. I don’t mind it, but I’m not running back to it. We would go here with friends if our friends want to go here, but there are other places to go first before coming back.

Always a excellent meal. This is my go to Chinese Resturant. Lemon chicken is wonderful, chicken sub gum is excellent. The Resturant is small tastefully decorated. The service is excellent.

3 ½ stars really. the food can be either excellent and original, or just OK. The side dishes tend to be simple and borderline boring. Their salad dressing is very good. The prices are a bit on the high side… Would be warrantied if the quality of meals was always consistently high, but sometimes it’s just an average /below average meal that would cost $ 10 – 12 elsewhere, served for $ 18 — 20. Some of the entries are great, some are not so great. It also seems that in the years since we’ve been coming here, the food has been getting less and less original and the age of the patrons keeps climbing up there. The last time we went to the Eurasian Grille, our group of people in their early to late 40s looked like a bunch of teenagers compared to the rest of the crowd. Again, it’s definitely not a bad place to eat — just not always great. Still, I feel it’s closer to 4 stars than 3. Call in ahead to see if there’s a long wait on weekends.

Best Food in the area. Really clean and nice place. Been coming here for a while and I always have a good experience. Friendly atmosphere. A little pricey for the Chinese food compared to other Chinese restaurants, but much much better quality food and very generous portions.

Great service. Nice atmosphere for a strip mall restaurant albeit a bit cramped when busy on a Saturday night. Food was good, loved the hot and sour soup and the calamari were light and tasty, expected more from the $ 23 mahi mahi though… red curry sauce was thin and not particularly flavorful and fish was somewhat overdone. However, will definitely give it another try when another cert is available, just not convinced yet that its good enough to go there for full price!

When I was a child, my father used to take my brothers and I to a Chinese restaurant on Orchard Lake &15, called Rickshaw Inn. Whenever we went there, we would order the same entreé, Szechuan chicken. The food was served in these shiny metal serving platters with lids, and the chicken had a tangy, spicy sauce that was truly incredible — and always with a side of crunchy(lightly steamed) pea-pods. We went there for at least a decade. It was a sad, sad day when the Rickshaw Inn closed many years ago. For years, I dreamed about the Szechuan chicken, wishing that I had the recipe. Much to my delight, years later, I heard that the same owner, who used to walk around the restaurant and tell jokes and laugh VERYLOUDLY, had opened up a new restaurant. I rushed over to Eurasian Grill, and when I walked in the door there he was, standing there. He looked at me intensely, and said«HOWAREYOU? I REMEMBERYOUFROM A LONGTIMEAGO!» I was home. But was I? I was seated, and I searched the menu for the old standard. I became scared when I realized that this menu was completely different from that of the Rickshaw Inn. This was fancier, and with a far more strong fusion influence than I was expecting(hence the name Eurasian). Thankfully, it seems that the Szechuan chicken was one of the ONLY entrees that was carried over from the previous restaurant. At the time, I had converted to vegetarianism, so I asked if they could prepare the Szechuan chicken as Szechuan tofu instead. They did so, and the sauce was just as delicious as I had remembered. I also had some of their vegetarian appetizers, which were very delicious. Months later, I came back and tried a few other items from the menu, but this time I brought my brother, who remembered the Szechuan chicken. He tried it, and was amazed! Yes, this amazing dish still exists! For me, perhaps it’s more nostalgia than anything, but I am impressed with the interior, the excellent service, and the very good food. What can I say, if you go here, get the Szechuan chicken!

Eurasian Grill seems to be my parents’ go-to place for Chinese food. I don’t come home to Michigan very often, but the last two visits(over a year and a half time span), we dined at Eurasian Grill. It’s on the pricey side, but they do offer a variety of Asian and American cuisine and a comfortable, somewhat intimate setting. Service is decent, and food is A-OK. Highlights of our most recent meal were: *Shrimp Garlic Chive Dumplings *Duck Lettuce Wraps *Wasabi dressing on the house salad *Beef with Broccoli –Shanghai pasta is nothing special, nor is the Asian Mixed Vegetable Dish. I highly recommend staying away from the sizzle rice soup — the EG version is a tomato based soup and totally different than any other sizzle rice soup I’ve ever tried. Nothing about it actually sizzled either. As a matter of fact, none of the above dishes were served steaming hot — they were all warm or room temperature. Bottom line: Eurasian Grill is A-OK for a meal with the parents every once in a blue moon but it would not be a regular on my rotation if I lived in the area.
