Tubby’s Grilled Submarines

I live near this location, i call my order ahead of time snd i pick it on the way to work, i love the nice clean store and the staff are very nice and welcoming my favorite is chicken and cheddar with to die for ranch dressing

Love this clean location, the service was great and the subs were made my way I can’t ask for anything better than that !!

I stopped in with the family tonight for dinner. Kids wanted to run to the ice cream place next door first, then wife & I were going to pick up a couple subs. Parked in one of the half dozen open spots in front of the Tubby’s restaurant. Sign said 10 minute parking — I figure how long can it take to get a take-​out sub? Certainly less than 10 minutes, right? We don’t get more than 20 feet down the sidewalk when the Tubby’s clerk comes running out saying I can’t park there. I explain we’re just grabbing an ice cream then coming back for subs for dinner. His response — doesn’t matter, can’t park there. Now, mind you, there was not a single other soul in sight in that Tubby’s, there is a big empty store front next door & plenty of open parking. So, I came back and moved the car exactly *one* parking space to make this guy happy. We got our ice cream, observed that in the five minutes that stop took, not a single other person even walked past this restaurant, much less actually went in. The group consensus was that after that fine display of customer service skills, there was no way we were going to trust this guy to make our dinner — and apparently all his other potential customers that night were confirming that opinion. So, we ended up back in the car, drove about 50 yards down the drive in the very same strip mall, found a Bellacino’s and we all had a wonderful dinner there.
My recommendation — Bellacino’s in the very same strip mall has wonderful subs plus pizza. They also have plenty of parking and don’t come outside to yell at you when you try to buy dinner from them. Please drive down the parking lot and get your dinner there. This Tubby’s is much more concerned about having empty parking spaces in front of their restaurant than serving potential customers. Grant them their wish — take you business to Bellacino’s. You’ll have a much better meal and a much more appreciative serving staff.

The owner of this restaurant is very ungracious and rude to his customers.
I was dining there with my mother-​in-​law, when he was yelling through the whole restaurant at a nice-​seeming young lady. He was aggressive and made a big scene.
It ruined the dining experience of my elderly mother-​in-​law and I.
You would think that, as a restaurant owner who makes his livelihood off of his customers, that he would want loyal, happy ones, treat them with respect, and appreciate their business. That is not the case with this Tubby’s franchise owner. Because of this, I will not go back to this particular Tubby’s again.

They always seem a bit short staffed when I go, but the food is worth the wait.

I love this place. Owner’s really cool, staff remembers my order. It always makes you feel good, like at that moment you’re the most important/​only customer.
Ps. 12″ Steak & Chedder, no dressing, large Mountain Dew… :)
