The Beaman Memorial Library is a medium sized library constructed in 1911. It reminds me a lot of an old school building but as far as I can tell it was originally built as a library.
Beaman Memorial has a pleasant charm that only old libraries can have and even though the outside looks rather pedestrian, the inside reveals a different perspective. Lovely fireplaces, windows, staircases and curved walls as well as random statues, library quilts and even a cool old baseball collection gives the old library a real personality.
The librarians are very friendly and of course the library has wifi and the usual modern library stuff. A pleasant library that has managed to retain it’s own personality while heading off into the future.
