I’ve been getting take out here since they opened and have never been disappointed, but I have come in to eat a few times as well and I am extremely impressed by both the food and the service. Everything is amazingly fresh – even on the buffet on slow days – and the food is consistently delicious. I highly recommend the honey crispy chicken and the spicy crispy wings. Not to be missed!

We discovered why we have not been here in ten years. This has to be the worst review I have ever written, as this has to be a top 5 worse meals I have ever had served. I think they forgot to warm and spice the hot and sour soup, the rice was easily a few days old and had been off the heat for a very long time. I asked for General Tso chicken with white meat. Had it only been the chicken it would be fine but the sauce had an odd fishy flavor or might have been«aged». I had planned to take home appetizers for family lunch, but this was so bad I cancelled them after they had started to prepare them. Normally I would give a restaurant a second chance if they were paying for my return meal. I didn’t ask because I had been invited by a new colleague and didn’t want to create a scene. Rather than bring take home boxes for our nearly uneaten meals, it would have been nice to ask if our meals were ok! To the restaurant, if you see this please contact me.

Went to Cheoy Lees today for some late lunch at 230pm with my family, NEVERHADSUCHRUDESERVICEINMYLIFE… Ordered a few entrees to share, one was Pad Tai, have had it many times before, at many different establishments, tasted like it was off. I had my cousin try it who lived in Asia for 4 years, she said it tasted bad as well. I let the server know, a woman with short black hair, and she immediately started berating me at the table!!!, saying the food was supposed to taste that way. She took the food away and came back to the table to further yell at me in front of my young child not to order the same dish in the future… We got the check after that and she didn’t take the dish off the bill,(the item was $ 6.99!!!) so we had to ask her to remove it. When we were leaving she chased me to the door to tell me not to order that dish again!!! I couldn’t believe my ears! I’m in customer service for a living and I’ve never in my half a century being on this planet received such horrible RUDESERVICE!!! I will be sure to tell everyone I know never to come here ever!!! Never want Chinese food ever again after this!!! Minus star rating – forced to give one star to post this review!

I used to love this place, but the last 2 times I’ve ordered from them, the food has been sub-par. Tonight, particularly, I ordered seafood lo mein, only to find most of the seafood within was rotton. The lobster was GREY and falling apart, and the stink was… hard to ignore. There’s no way people can be serving this and NOT know that it is well past edible. Really disgusting. I won’t be returning.

I like this place. The food is good, the prices are reasonable and the service is always prompt. This is what I expect from a neighborhood restaurant. There is a full service bar and there’s always a game on and friendly people watching. In the summer they have patio seating. If you are looking for some decent Chinese food and a good atmosphere, you won’t be disappointed.

I have search far and wide to finally find a place like this. It is the BEST Chinese food around. It’s rather a small restaurant the provides a great atmosphere. So far I have not been disappointed in a single dish that I have ordered so far. The Vegetable Tempura is to die for. I(we) have received the most friendliest service with each visit. It’s well worth the 15 minutes trip even though there are other Chinese restaurants that are much closer to me. If you’re not sure about going, I suggest you give it at least a try.

Ordered a ton of takeout food for new years from Cheoy Lee’s! Place was packed and the quality of our food was still top notch. Thank you guys for making our New Years Delicious!

Choy lee’s is so good. the food is great.(i love dessert and the pupu platter. the service is great too. the food is great and reasonably priced. the food is worth more than the price. the area is also nicley decorated. you even can have a party upstairs on the second floor. you also can get takeout. there are two options for food. the menu(every day) or buffet(Friday to Sunday only for dinner) you also can ask for is the best!

I was very disappointed. No more oysters on half shells, snow crab legs. Also the won ton soup that came with the buffet was very watery. There were steamers and shrimp cocktails. What is happening here? I went to to celebrate my 60th birthday, but I kept my silence. My family and mai-tai celebrated my very special day!

I used to go here all the time, and considered it the best in the area, however yesterday my co-workers and I bought take out, and I found it to be bad to awful, the pork fried rice was yellowish, beef teriyaki was reddish and dry, and the genererals tso chicken was over-sauced and seemed re-heated. I will give it the benefit of the doubt and possibly try it again, based on all the good experiences I had in the past, but I’m not too optimistic based on this last meal, which was worse then most food court Chinese restaurants you would get at a mall…

I always order the combination plate for take out, and have never been disappointed. The portions are good and the prices are not bad. I’m usually in and out in 10 minutes. The buffet is cheap and awesome for those times your really hungry. The only thing I think they really need is a delivery driver.

Cheoy Lee’s is my favorite chinese restaurant in the Worcester area. Good prices, small but decent buffet. The best crab rangoons around! My husband does not like their General Tso’s chicken, and their Sweet and Sour Chicken is different(they use vegetables in a sweet sauce rather than just red dye &HFCS!) but I like it, it’s a little less greasy than your typical hole in the wall chinese.

A good choice for American Chinese food in the area. High points — generous pours from the bar, nice outdoor seating area, efficient service, Pad Thai. I’m generally leery of buffet eats so haven’t gone that route here yet, but friends dive in enthusiastically. Very consistent — always decent, never awful.

Handsome face has brought home takeout from Cheoy Lee’s a couple of times. It does make for a swell livingroom picnic. It’s kind of generic otherwise. The actual location has great outdoor seating, though.

So… like a lot of my reviews, I’ve been to every single restaurant that has been at this location over the years. Curiously enough, it’s always been a chinese restaurant. I’ve eaten from Cheoy Lee’s maybe 200 times over the years, so let’s just get to brass tacks. The appetizers are standard chinese food. The chicken lo mein has a tendency to taste like it was cooked in a brick oven. I personally love the crab rangoons, and can’t stand the chicken fingers. I’ve hit almost every chicken and beef dish on the menu at one time or another, and the ones I go back to are the Black Pepper Chicken, Chicken in Garlic Sauce, and Cashew Chicken(i like the chicken dishes, clearly). The beef and broccoli are really good and classically prepared(by classically i mean, classically for american chinese food). The bar seems to be the new hot place for west boylston folk to congregate, but then again, it’s west boylston… the choices are slim.

I’ve been to a few Chinese buffets. They generally suck big time. But not Cheoy Lee’s! The food was really good. You can tell they cook real food. I know because those were the best crab rangoons I’ve ever had. Definitely a solid choice for Chinese. Top it all off with a Mai Tai and you have a good evening. But because it’s a buffet, I’ll only give it 3 stars. Not super hard to mess up buffet food.
