The ONLY bad thing about this place, is that it’s seasonal.

I have been a good customer for many years. I bring students here for a treat(a couple of times a year, it costs me over $ 100). On my last visit, the owner was so rude to me, I will never return. Pinecroft here we come!

Three words: Peanut Butter Iditarod. I can’t find this flavor locally, so I always get a large when I’m in the Worcester area. Great portions, decent prices, and cool outdoor seating area. Be patient, and wait in line. It is totally worth it!

This is our go to spot! Delicious favors and extremely generous portions… If you’ve never been start with a small! Lines could be faster but it is well worth the wait. The seating area is absolutely unique with swings, pianos, funky décor and musicians every once in a while. It is cash only, as almost all of the good spots are, but they have added in an atm if you forget.

This is how I see it from a father of a young 7yr old. 1. No child size cone’s or cups 2. service is slow, but steady 3. nice touch on seating area 4. dont think a small size ice cream should cost $ 4.55 w/tax. probably will not come back with family, wayside to much ! 5. appears to be only game in-town, gouging the customers on price & a fee service ATM.(cash only)

I love Meolas! Graham Meola Ice cream is my all time favorite! Although I’ve tried other flavors I always continue to eat this flavor! It’s graham cracker flavored ice cream with graham cracker swirls and crispy chocolate candies.

I would put 0 stars if I could. My friend dropped her ice cream and they didn’t offer her a new one. I wanted just 2 scoops of 2 different flavors of ice cream and they forced it to be a sundae, and upcharged that 3 $. The line was huge and the service was awful. Never coming here again.

What a fun selection of ice creams! Green Monstah, Maine Black Bear, German Chocolate Cake, Gram Meola… I can say that all we have tried have been really good. Chock full of mix ins and creamy. I do not know what the complaints are about. A medium which is, I think, $ 4.55(2 scoops) is almost a PINT of ice cream. Comparable with other ice cream stands. Kid there was live piano music the night we were there. Talk about wholesome family fun! It is clear why they won vest of Worcester.

Ice cream is average but very overpriced. It’s worth driving up the road to Dairy Queen to save a few bucks. And they don’t take credit cards, which had me digging for change in my car to pay. Many better alternatives.

Ice cream was very good. Large variety of flavor choices and ways to customize your dairy delight. Service is ok, what do you really expect from teenagers? Worth the stop and $$

Great ice cream, great staff and no tiny sundaes here.

Ice cream tastes great but they will not give you hot fudge unless you order a sundae. What is the reasoning for this???

My son and I visited here last night because I like local food and Rota Spring Farm was a bit too far for us at the time. It was not crowded in the slightest but the teenager working still seemed kind of nonchalant and not really very friendly about waiting on us. She was also had a half eaten cup of ice cream next to her, which was a little unsanitary. Is this what is supposed to happen at ice cream stands? I feel like the health board would be all over this, but maybe I am just paranoid. We ordered three different scoops– a graham cracker kind where the name escapes me, a mocha chip flavor, and chocolate chip. The graham cracker kind was delicious and had a nice crunch to it with the crackers and I tried my son’s chocolate chip, which was good, but I could taste a slight hint of banana in it(maybe the scoop wasn’t cleaned that well). I guess I will return but I’d rather go to Rota Spring Farm. The staff just seems friendlier and the ambiance is much nicer because you really get that«country dairy» feeling watching all the cows that have produced the ice cream. Also, I think Meola’s was a bit pricier than Rota. Cash or check only.

PROS: Lots of flavors Big portions Great covered patio area with fun decorations CONS: On the more expensive side($ 8.50 for two SMALL dishes). No kiddie size No hot fudge unless you order a $ 6 sundae We enjoyed ice cream here a few times last year and went again this past Sunday. It was during the typical busy dessert hours(7:30pm) and there was quite the line. By the time we placed our two orders, they had run out of both flavors which was very disappointing. You shouldn’t run out of signature Meola’s flavors on a busy night! WARNINGTOHOTFUDGELOVERS: I learned on Sunday that you cannot add hot fudge as a topping to a simple scooped ice cream, «you have to order a sundae to get the hot fudge» which costs $ 2 more. What happened to the 50 cent toppings? Overall this experience was disappointing for not having the flavors we picked out, and not allowing hot fudge without at $ 2 upcharge.

OMG, I am so happy we don’t come this way that often. The small size cups were huge and tasted great. The sign said the line moves fast but that wasn’t an issue as there was no line at three in the afternoon. If you’re in the area, stop and give em a try. You will not leave unhappy.

One of the best new england ice cream stands Huge portions — if u dont want to give you kid diabetes, please please order the smallest size. And ask other customers what size they have, the last thing u wanna do is ruin the experience if youre one of those who has to finish their plate Flavor was among the best of all the new england ice cream stands, which sad to say arent that good as a whole… We’ve tried a bunch of the famous ones in different parts of massachusetts, cape cod, newport RI — not impressed and weird that many have exactly the same flavor selection. Sorry east coasters, but none of these places comes close to a Mitchells or Bi-rite in san francisco

I used to love this place and basically grew up getting ice cream here. There’s nothing wrong with it now; I’ve just seen many more ice cream places and have more to compare it too. Get the purple cow — it’s my favorite, so it should be your favorite too.

I’m an ice cream enthusiast, so I may be grading on a curve… Nevertheless I’m a fan of Meola’s. They have a good range of flavors, my favorite being butter pecan. Serving sizes are good; if you are taking kids ask them to split a medium in two bowls otherwise they’ll not finish. New seating area is a nice break from the sun. As per other reviews– service can be poor. Most of the employees are high schoolers and tend to be lacking in speed and attentiveness. Considering your other option is Dairy Queen(ick) up the street, I’ll take slack-jawed teens serving tasty ice cream over dead-eyed zombies and Dilly Bars any day.

I received an email today from someone that told me that Meola’s ice cream was not made on the premises as I said in my review. So I called them. A spokesperson told me that they have a company that makes Super Premium ice cream that is 16% butterfat for Meola’s(it has to be at least 16% to be called super premium). When they receive this basic ice cream, they add all the different flavors to it right right there at Meola’s. Thank you Jenna for making me clarify this.
