I’m bias, I don’t like subway. Every time I go there, I smell like the bread for hours! For this branch, I felt rushed when I went in and the sandwich didn’t taste very fresh. I guess I don’t have much more to add to my review because there’s not much to subway, especially this one.

Worked there for 3 years, Paula is the best manager. She carries that place on her back, if it weren’t for her, the place would be run into the ground. Great service, great food.

I have been in here a few times but had to review after todays bad experience. I went in around lunchtime with no line in front of me, and had to wait a few minutes for the staff to finish their conversation before I was acknowledged. Once approached, I ordered the featured footlong, and than had to explain what that was. The woman helping me did not speak English very well and though im familiar with the subway ordering process and ordered as usual along the line I had to keep repeating myself. After 5 minutes of struggling, another employee came over to relieve her. He spoke slightly better English but seemed annoyed that i was ordering toppings on my sub while a line formed behind me.(mind you im an easy orderer featured footlong, lettuce pickles cheese mayo). Though i was looking at the sticker for sauce options and asked for a splash of the red wine vinegar he told me that they do not have red wine vinegar and that it wasnt even an option. Once finally at the register he didn’t even bother to hand me my credit card but threw it with my receipt on top of my sub on the counter and left to help the next person in line, which was now long since he and the woman who did not speak English well were the only two employees working at lunchtime. I love subway but will never go back to this location after getting treated as rudely as I was. The nerve of me, ordering a sub from subway at lunchtime!

Subway, eat fresh? West Bridgewater is a working-class, family oriented town. Residents are creatures of habit and usually like to stick to what they know in a town with six pizza/sub shops all within spitting distance of one another, it would seem that there was no room for yet another sub shop; however Subway made their way a couple years ago and they’ve been here since. They’ve fared better than Quiznos did(they were located at the ugly yellow building at the intersection of Routes 106 and 28). The Hockomock Plaza has quite a long history, much farther than I can possibly remember. Growing up, I can recall this location being several things, most notably Astro Pizza, which had THEGREATEST Mediterranean Pizza. For a lot longer though it was vacant, so seeing Subway move in was nice, knowing that it would generate revenue and foot traffic for the plaza. Am I seeing a cent of this? Nope, but still, it’s for the greater good. I subscribe to the notion that if you’ve been to one, you’ve been to them all, and for this particular location that seemingly holds true. If you’re there to eat it’s a simple dining room with tables & seats, no TVs or anything, but lets face it these kinds of shops do the majority of their business from take-out orders. Personally I prefer the flavor of Mom & Pop places for sandwiches, but oddly enough sometimes I do get a craving for Subway. If I want a «good» ham and provolone, I’ll head to the Corner Market. If I want a «good» meatball, I’ll head to Bruno’s. But if I want Subway, I’ll head to Subway. I’m pretty picky about what I get though; I usually stick to my staple, the Italian BMT loaded. One thing I dislike about most rinky-dink shops is that it feels like you have to haggle with them for toppings. I’m a guy who likes a TON of tomatoes, pickles, bell-peppers, or whatever it is that I fancy. If I ask for extra pickles I want more than one or two on there. Typically I stick with cold cut based sandwiches, but occasionally I’ll opt for a Meatball Marinara. I’m not under any delusions of these meatballs being made that day by someone’s little, old Italian Grandmother, but for what it is, they’re pretty tasty. Typically I stick with the $ 5 Foot-Long subs. You really can’t beat that, most places now charge in the ballpark of $ 6-$ 8 for a large sub, which is quite a bit if you’re just looking for lunch or a quick snack. This location seems to be run pretty well. The restaurant is always clean and presentable. I’ve never gotten any«vibes» from the place, and feel completely comfortable walking in there. The staff is always friendly and courteous, and actually seem to not be quite as miserable as workers are at most fast-food restaurants. If you find yourself in West Bridgewater and are looking for a snack, you certainly do have wide range of limited choices; you can’t go wrong at this particular Subway!
