We’ve been picking up great cheeses here in the summer. They have a nice selection. But we didn’t realize they also made sandwiches until a visit last weekend. Let me tell you, they make great panninis. And it’s good to know what Jason Isbell does when he’s not on tour.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch. We placed our order and since we were eating in we grabbed a table. In the main store area you will find fresh breads, meats and a great assortment of cheeses for sale. The main store is well lit and clean and inviting. The dining area has a lot of charm with different style tables that feel informal and friendly. There is art for sale decorating the walls with a farm mural covering the far wall. We both got the Italian Panini. The roll was perfectly crispy and toasted. The sandwich had the perfect bread to meat ratio. The flavor? My word the flavor! There was a taste of Italy in each bite! The employees were friendly, courteous and made sure our experience was memorable and pleasant. I highly recommend stopping in for lunch and before you leave buy some wedges of cheese and some crackers for an after lunch snack.

A local friend told us about this wonderful cheese shop. What a find! So many great varieties of cheese for this area. The staff is so helpful and really nice. We purchased a wonderful variety and took it back to our place, packed a picnic, added a couple bottles of wine from Hawk Haven Winery and headed out to the beach. What a wonderful treat.

Nice selection here for sure. As all quality cheese goes you nred to pay for it. This location seems to have dimished in the quality of staff. I wasn’t impressed so much overall and missed the original spot and atmosphere. I will go back but only in a pinch. In Cape May it can be tough to get from A to B so we take what we can get. Seems like some establishments work thst theme into their service.

Visited the shop today. Great experience. The young lady who helped us was very knowledgeable and courteous. Great selection of cheese, especially for this area. Prices are reasonable. Would definitely recommend this business.

Excellent offerings of artisan cheeses. Very good selection of sandwiches! Nice casual place for lunch. Try the Seaside Panini! Best sandwich I’ve had in a long time. Staff gave some suggestions for sandwiches. Good service.

If I could give this place less than a star I would. The«customer service» is laughably rude. We stood in a disorganized line for 30 minutes waiting for some service and when we asked for some help we were ignored. After we finally got our order taken, it took forever for them to complete it and they got it wrong. To ice the cake, the max and cheese we ordered was cold and congealed and incredibly over priced. I’m not sure why this place is still in business, I’d rather go to the italian market down the street and get good service by friendly people. The only upside to the whole visit was a cute little bakery attached to the place. Delicious coffee and scones. Don’t waste your time at seaside cheese.

In the fall of 2012, while touring the vineyards of the Cape May region, we stopped at Hawk Haven Vineyards and Winery. While there sampling there variety of wines, they paired them up with great cheeses. Upon asking what type of cheese it was and where they got it from, we learned about the Seaside Cheese Company. West Cape May’s Seaside Cheese Company brings a ‘World of Cheeses’ to New Jersey’s shores. There are American cheeses such as Wisconsin and Vermont cheddars. In addition, you’ll find products ranging from Ireland, Italy, France and Greece. With such an wide offering of unique and differing cheeses, one is bound to have a different experience with every new choice. Two favorites of both my wife and myself are a Bellavitano Merlot and a Mushroom Champignon Brie. While both are creamy and rich, the Bellavitano Merlot pairs very good with your red wines and the flavor of the mushroom pulled out during the warm softening of the brie is truly wonderful over your favorite cracker. If you are unsure of what you may like, they will readily sample any of their cheeses to help you make your choice. The flavors don’t stop there however. In addition to their cheeses, there is a selection of specialty sauces, a bevy of olives and other delights to spin your tastes around the beach. They offer a selection of lunches which mostly include paninis that compliment their cheeses. On Fridays, they offer a mac and cheese that is not your grandmother’s mac and cheese but beyond the traditional style with a combination of cheeses that showcase themselves differently each time. There is ample seating for the lunch crowd which may consist of both tourists of the region and regulars of the town as their prices are very reasonable and set for your repeat business. This seating also doubles for after hours activities of private tastings in which you can enjoy a bottle or two of your favorite wines and they will pair your wines with a selection of cheeses from 3 differing countries and will provide information and background of each type sampled. Overall, a very enjoyable stop in the Cape May area whether you are a cheese connoisseur or not. Your taste buds will thank you.
