I’m surprised this place stays in business but apparently it is a staple for the area. The staff don’t seem to be happy to be there and they are not customer oriented. Rarely do you see anyone smile, greet you or say thank you. They’re not good at keeping stocked up in popular items like garlic bagles or salmon cream cheese. On one Sunday morning when I ordered lox on a bagel, the cashier shouted to someone«do we have salmon today?» Why wouldn’t you be stocked up on this for a Sunday morning? My third time in a row and and no salmon cream cheese and no one seems to care…“uh, I guess we are out of it.” At least when you are in NYC and experience abusive service, they Are good at what they do. Their products are inconsistent but like I said before, they don’t seem to care.

Last time I call in an order, wait around for a half hour after they retake my order, wait around some more because they dont tell you your order is ready, and leave only to find it is not what you ordered, This isn’t the first time this has happened to me here either!!! I’M DONEWITHTHISPLACE! SAVEYOURTIMEANDMONEYANDGOELSEWHERE

Full Manhattan-style café with pastries, hot sandwiches, and bagels. for good reason, they’re popular – on the other hand, that means that during any meal time, the wait isn’t going to be short. You can generally judge a deli on its Reuben, and Bagel Bistro’s Reuben satisfies, with a relatively light amount of their homemade Russian dressing and heaps of grilled sauerkraut. It’s a good place for Sunday brunch.

Drive by here frequently on my way to work and decided to stop in as I wanted to grab some breakfast. i love bagel sandwiches and thought I might find a new go-to breakfast stop. Wrong! The guy taking my order was clearly unhappy to be there, but I placed my take out order and waited for it to be prepared. I then noticed another employee who was scooping cream cheese out of a giant bucket into smaller tubs, presumably for you to buy? Initially I was observing this just because I thought it was interesting, but I then noticed he would stop every so often and take a bite of a sandwich next to him. Eating while preparing food? Kind of gross. I had visions of bits of saliva falling into the giant tub of cream cheese. Ew. Mental note to not ever eat the cream cheese here. I then noticed that my order had not even been started yet because the same guy who took my order is also the cook and he was now taking an order from another customer. Sigh. He completes that order and starts my sandwich and the phone rings. Cream cheese/sandwich eater guy answers it and then hands the phone to the order guy/sandwich maker who takes the phone with the glove still on his hand… once he hangs up i think please change your glove, please change your glove, please change your glove annnddd he picks up my bagel with the glove on. Double ew. Do you know how many germs on on that phone??? Before I could bring myself to say anything he plops my sandwich into a brown bag and sets it on the counter without saying a word(thanks, have a good day, see ya) to me. Needless to say I won’t be back.

Needed to grab a quick breakfast and BB was the best option when choosing between them and Dunkins(I do not like microwaved eggs. That’s all DD brings to the table but their coffee is the best). Located in a strip mall across from Wawa on Rt 3, the BB is a small spot with some tables. They seem to have a good number of Bagel choices and I heard they are good but we wanted sandwiches. We both had the bacon, egg and American cheese. The egg is fried — I like scrambled or omelette style better. My girlfriend had hers on wheat, I had challah bread. Overall they were good. They hit the spot. I looked at the coffee but wasn’t impressed with my choices so I stopped at Dunkins to get java. Usually we go out to grab breakfast but when time is limited we will probably return.

I feel very sorry for the people who work at Bagel Bistro. They all seem very unhappy. The vibe in there is very uninviting and unfriendly. The food was mediocre at best. They use Udi’s gluten free bread products. Wouldn’t it be great if they could offer a homemade bagel or baked goods? They also must not train their order takers very well as it took about 10 minutes to place my order only to find out they were out of the key ingredient. Then another 5 mins or so to order something else. I also thought I was being overcharged and then found out the menu I was looking at on their counter was old with old prices. Shouldn’t they be giving me the price as listed? it is not my fault they don’t have a new menu. When something is mismarked in a retail store, they give it to you at that price. The customer is always right. There is no great customer service here. It was my first time here and I didn’t know that the sandwich came with cole slaw. I ordered it to go but I wasn’t offered a fork, so there was nothing to eat the cole slaw with. I hope they can make improvements to be happier, more welcoming and more knowledgeable and efficient. I wish them the best and all happiness but I won’t be back.

The staff is young and not as well versed in their menu. Bagel Breakfast sandwich is not bad.

Really good, fresh bagels. Nice to get them in the morning while they’re still warm. The muffins are huge and a bit too sweet for my taste, but it’s not the Muffin Bistro. I’ve never eaten in, so I can only speak for service at the counter which has always been courteous and pleasant. When I needed a large quantity of bagels, I ordered them in advance. They were packed and ready when I walked into the store. Great that it’s close to my house too.

This is the worst bagel shop in the area! For service this slow, the LEAST they could do is get the order correct… Don’t waste your time or your money.

The best rye bagel & cream cheese I’ve been able to find this far from NYC/North Jersey.

had seen it many times, but my husband took me there, the staff was not very informative. we tried the challah french toast and i really thought that if i had that challah bread i could have made a better french toast it was so dry! the veggie omelet was good though.

really«meh» about this place. which is a shame because its so close to me and wished for somewhere close to get a decent breakfast sandwich(bacon egg cheese on a long roll w fried onions always does it for me) you know a breakfast spot is not really a breakfast spot when the only selection of organge juice is from concentrate.

I definitely won’t be returning to Bagel Bistro after my last visit! I orded a breakfast sandwich, hash brown and drink and it was almost $ 12! I asked why it was so expensive and she was charging me for a lunch sandwich($ 6.50)… When I asked why she said ‘I don’t know? Do you want to change it?’ Umm. well I asked for the breakfast sandwich which is $ 2 less. Sandwich wasn’t even good, brought it home and tried to fix it up a little bit… Hash brown was inedible. The girl who took my order was obviously incompetent and looked a mess too. I had been here a few times before just for bagels and it’s fine… We picked up soup once too and that was super bland. Enough’s enough… I won’t be returning!

I discovered Bagel Bistro while working in the area in 2004. I’ve gone back many times since. They’re my second-favorite bagel place around(first is Custom Bagels in Media) – another reviewer on Unilocal said the same thing. The Bagel Bistro staff is mostly made up of teens which is fine, but can get frustrating if they start talking or have friends in there. I have been in there when they are totally professional and get the job done(normally week days at lunch), or when they are goofing off(weekends), which gets really annoying with a line of customers. Honestly, most of the times I’ve been in there I do get the«too cool» attitude, and it discourages me from returning. All in all good bagels, co if you’re nearby you should check it out. Just don’t expect good customer service.

The inside of bagel bistro is very basic, counter with deli stuff and bagel stuff, self serve coffee and a separate section for dine-in tables. The bagels look… pale. And I don’t mean under-cooked, they were well cooked, they are just pale looking. Eh. Bacon egg and cheese was pretty standard really, but the vegetable cream cheese was… horrible. There were only a handful of «vegetables» which was only green pepper of various shapes and sizes. Coffee was not anywhere near hot even with first sip which I took before I even left the store. Disappointed, but would be okay in a pinch I guess.

This is my number 2 place for bagels. The bagels are of good quality but, its their vegetable cream cheese If you’re a bagel lover this place is worth making a trip to. My number 1 place is: Custom Bagel, Media.

Great local establishment with very fresh bagels, bagel sandwiches are great, lox, whitefish salad, eggs/bacon. Great muffins as well. Take out better than dine in as the table section is a bit cold and uninviting.

Solid-enough breakfast food. Completely random level of service bordering on calm & professional to incompetent & disgruntled. Don’t go here when they are busy on a Sat./Sun. morning and expect prompt service or your food quickly.

A nice, clean, quick place to get coffee and a bagel or lunch. The service is quick and the bagels are really fresh. The reuben I had used their own rye bread baked on the premises. Incredible! The cookies and baked goods look fantastic, but I’m going back for a brisket sandwich.
