I love Thai food and recommend this to anyone else who really enjoys Thai. The place is simple and quiet and great for lunch due to the lower price and speed of service. The Food is always fresh and the BEST part about this place that makes it stand out from the rest is its portion size. You get so much food, its practically piled on your plate. The price you pay is cheap and the amount of food you receive is more than you would expect. I love the friendliness of the staff, they always talk with my 2 year old and give him cookies and one of the women even got him a toy for our next visit since we have become regulars.

My friends and I legitimately walked in here on a whim, and with a name as generic as «Chopsticks,» we were not expecting much. BUTALAS. I had the best egg drop soup I have ever had. *insert generic«never judge a book by its cover» quote* You know how mediocre egg drop soup tends to have a weird, syrupy consistency and you end up thinking, «What am I actually putting into my face hole right now?» I don’t think I’ve ever NOT thought that while eating egg drop soup, until Chopsticks’ egg drop soup. Which leads me to wonder why I continued to eat egg drop soup… it must have been in order to lead me to the holy grail. Thank goodness I found it. Side note: their sushi is decent, service is good, price range is reasonable/comparable to similar places. The interior of the place is really typical, bordering on crappy. Please reference my generic quote above.

My only complaint was that in my broiled pork and noodles dish, the lettuce was old and turning pink. Ick! Apart from that, the golden tofu was good and the lady who works there is very personable and outgoing.

I think that this restaurant is okay… everything that I ate was just okay. I ordered the pad thai, and as someone who takes pride in trying different pad thai from all over the city, I’d say this plate of pad thai was a little above average. One word of advice would be: DONOTORDERTHESUSHI. It is very below average and not fresh at all. The service wasn’t bad just extremely awkward and very slow. The servers did not know how to make conversation or give recommendations on the menu. Overall it was a below average experience and I do not see myself going back.

I usually dont write these but saw a couple of negatives and had to correct. My husband and I have went about 5 times since 2012 and have not had anything that wasnt delicious. I have tried several of the soups and they are unbelievable. I love coconut milk and lemongrass together. Sashimi has been excellent. My husband gets curries and loves them, he says they are the best in this area. Thai taste is a close second he says. I love the spring rolls with veggies and they’re sauces are authentic and yumm. I really dont like local chinese due all the grease and sugar but this place is very different and authentic. The actual restaurant doesnt stand out from the outside and apparently does a busy lunch business crowd and slower dinner. I have recommended this place to several friends and they have also loved it. Oh and service is very good and friendly.

First time here. My husband had the Drunken Thai Noodles(curry dish) and it was AWESOME! I had my usual at any Thai place I go to Yum Woon Sen. It was awesome! All in all, I thought it was a good value, good food, good service and we’ll be back again!

Since this place was sold by the Vietnamese owners, the food is decidedly Thai oriented, and not that great in that vein either. If you came here for Phở and Tofu sandwiches, forget it. A shame.

My advice is to find somewhere else to eat. We went to Chopstick’s way back when it first opened, but hadn’t been back since then. We decided to give it a try on a Friday evening. The dining seemed to be smaller and not crowded, which is not a good sign sometimes. We ordered chicken satay and shrimp shumai for appetizers. These were both really good. We split shrimp pad Thai and General Tso Chicken. It was the worst pad Thai we have ever eaten. The shrimp tasted wrong. The chicken dish was edible, but that is about it. We didn’t even make dents in the dishes between the four of us. We did take our leftovers, but ended up throwing them away after stopping for yogurt since we were all starving.

It always makes me a little nervous when restaurants have too many different types of cuisine on their menu and Chopsticks has Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, and sushi. However, the super quick and friendly service put me at ease. And when I say quick, I mean lightning fast. I ordered chicken pad Thai and asked if it could be prepared quickly as I didn’t have much time. She repeated«quick» and hurried off to put in my order. I think it was maybe 5 – 7 minutes before she brought out a steaming plate. Take out takes longer than that! Granted, it was quite early and there was only one other party in the place, but still, I was impressed! The pad Thai itself was a generous portion, but not the ridiculous«family size» you get in some places. Maybe slightly over sauced, but a nice, mild spice and tender pieces of chicken. Overall, a very satisfying experience.

This place is my go-to Thai/Vietnamese restaurant. It’s awesome! The Phở is fantastic(I could drink that broth till I foundered) and they have many other dishes that just plain rock! I personally love the Pad See Ew. Delicious! And they have amazing sushi too! One of my top«most frequent»

The BF and I have dined at Chopsticks on three separate occasions. They serve Thai, Vietnamese, Sushi and Chinese dishes, so there should be something for everyone. They also seem to be accommodating of special requests. Two of the times we’ve been there have been on Sunday afternoon shortly after their opening time of 3:00, so they haven’t been busy. Service is decent and the food is good. Twice I’ve had the red curry with tofu and it has been very good. I ordered another dish the second time we ate there and didn’t care for it, but not because it was bad… it just didn’t have a flavor I liked. The BF was happy each time with his food… he got the Phở twice(the reason we went there the first time.) It’s not the best Thai food, but it’s pretty decent. My only complaint is that I think it is a little pricey.

Coming from California I wasn’t expecting much for phở. I ordered the Phở Tai Nam on Friday night. It took about 15 minutes to get my phở, which seems quite a while. My bowl came out looking quite good, actually. But upon sniffing it just didn’t smell the same, it smelled almost cinnamony. The broth tasted like it came from powder and the Tai meat was a load of crap. The Nam was decent– flavorful but chewy. The bowl was $ 12.95! Kind of bummed out. Hopefully I will find a good bowl of phở further south.

We went to this place a few weeks ago for dinner. I had a vegetarian phở(not on the menu, but they can make one without seafood) and a veggie roll. I was a little disappointed that they were out of the fried tofu roll that I really wanted, but the veggie roll was good and came with tasty creamy sauce for dipping. The phở was excellent and came with a huge plate of bean sprouts, but the serving size of the phở was enormous. I took half of it home though and it heated up nicely. My husband had the green curry and it was delicious(also a huge portion size)! The service was also fast and friendly. My two complaints about this place: 1) the green tea was just a packet that you could buy at Kroger and 2) the prices are a little high for what it is.

After my friend and I decided we weren’t quite adventurous enough to try out the Filipino restaurant we had decided on. We do value our lives and bellies after all, we headed a little bit south to be slightly less adventurous and try our hand or I should say tastebuds at Vietnamese cuisine. We felt much better about walking into Chopsticks and finding a charming atmosphere with modern décor and a welcome, warm greeting. It turns out we are snobs after all and appreciate the finer things in life, like a sign naming your business, proper lighting, and the occasional picture on the wall doesn’t hurt. We started out with a couple sushi rolls and miso soup. The yum yum and spicy yellowtail to be specific. The rolls were smothered in a creamy sauce and topped with crunchy bits. At first a little different since I love plain, raw fish, but still so delish! I would go easier on the sauce for my preference, however if you are new to sushi rolls, this is great to acclimate your tastes to raw fish. The timing of the meal was awesome! We never felt rushed and never had food sitting getting cold or hot while we finished another dish. I love great timing especially when you are having a chatty lunch. The two dishes we ordered, one by chef recommendation, were both sooooo good! I mean, oh man!, the food was amazing. One was the spicy noodle dish, that she suggested we order at medium heat. I could have gone even more spicy, but it was a slow heat that worked its way up on you. If you like spice, definitely order HOT! The other dish was a traditional Vietnamese dish, charbroiled pork. It was served over vermicelli noodles and the meat and vegetables were all separated and served with a slightly sweet vinegary sauce on the side. She explained that we pour the liquid on the top and mix all together! Oh man, again! Sooooo Goooood! Seriously, the food was heaven in my mouth. I even brought the leftovers home for my kids(age 17, 10, and 8) and they SCARFED it up! I mean, licked the plate clean, kind of scarfed! I think my kids, my friend, and myself are all Vietnamese converts! Can’t wait till my next visit to Chopsticks! Oh and the price was great too!

I hadn’t been here in a few years, but the food is still superb. This place captures the distinct flavoring of Vietnamese cuisine and I’m satisfied with the quality every time. Noodles are amazing! I gave 4 stars because I could not find the beautiful & super friendly female owner/manager I was so used to being greeted by. Her service was top notch! Where did she go?

pretty decent place. prices are a bit high but there aren’t very many Vietnamese restaurants in mason. Singapore noodles are amazing, can choose between a 1 – 10 spicy scale. the phở tai, which is what i always get is delicious, comes with all the traditional Vietnamese ingredients. the broth is mouthwateringly good, comes pretty light but full of flavor. you can ad hsion sauce to make it saltier and chili sauce and fresh jalapeños to make it spicier.
