Gourmet pizza with a good bar. Got here at 5pm on a Friday and there were plenty of parking spots and tables inside. Happy hour for us means $ 1 pretzels. Got 5 so we could take some home. We got a pizza with half and half. Any specialty style split down the middle. Several employees stopped to check on us while we were there. Good experience

I was really excited to give this place a try after out stop at IKEA, but it was a little disappointing. The service and staff were fantastic. They were all very friendly, nice, and helpful. Our waitress and a few others were awesome with our children and made our visit for them great. The décor is very interesting and kinda wacky, but cool. The big mushroom in the middle is really neat. Now to get to the food. I’ve heard awesome things about the pizza so I was excited to try some. We decided to go with a large cheese since I got a half of the Italian sub and I have a picky husband. The sub was fantastic, easily the best I’ve had anywhere. The bread was just baked perfectly, not too hard, but not too soft. I loved that they use a spinach mix of lettuce instead of regular iceberg lettuce. It added even more flavor to the sandwich. It really just had the perfect flavors together. I also really liked the chip brand, as I never had them before. Now onto the pizza. It was just extra cheese so nothing overly complicated. I know that they have a claim of wood fire pizza, but with an open kitchen it’s pretty easy to see they use regular pizza ovens. What they try to do is manipulate a wood fire pizza, by trying to blacken the crust, which doesn’t work. The crust is overly chewy and hard in places. The dough itself it thin, so very much like New York style pizza, but it’s just too thin so you feel like your just eating toppings. I thought the sauce was pretty good and the cheese was just like any other typically cheese. I would think about stopping back again if I was in the area to give the pizza another shot just because of the service alone.

My first time here was amazing. Love the mushroom theme of the whole place. Service is amazing a large pizza is 16 inch as opposed to the usual 14. Love the Holy Shatake Mushroom and Thai Dye are particularly good.

Mellow Mushroom had a fun ambiance, good service and decent pizza. The crust was absolutely delicious, one of the best pizza dough experiences I’ve had. The rest of the pizza was ok. We got the Megga Veggie which was decent but definitely would have been better without the artichoke hearts which were pretty large but bland. Also, when a pizza’s full of veggies it’s always good to have them cooked a little longer because they were still a little too crisp for my taste. I’ll probably go back but to try some of the other pizzas they have to offer.

Keeping it short here! After hearing plenty of positive reviews from friends and co-workers, I finally decided to try this place out and sad to say, I don’t get the hype. I thought the pizza was bland, too greasy, and a little too pricey.

This place is hit or miss. How parents let their loud obnoxious children crawl all over the bar is a question I will never be able to answer. Other than that when there are no annoying children everywhere a cool place else wise.

What is everyone raving about here? The pizza is mediocre. The wait is fairly long. This is just regular pizza with some fancy toppings thrown on to look like something different. The chain delivery places have more taste. Way too expensive for what you get. Our server was very nice, very friendly, and kept or drinks full. I would have much rather gone to Uno’s pizza which is only about two minutes away, or Dewey’s just up the highway. This place is very skippable.

I love this pizza, but it takes forever to get one. If your not in a hurry the potato pizza is really good. I have not been disappointed with anything I’ve tried.

I have been eating at The Mellow Mushroom for years, in other states. This location is about the same. There are no lava lamps(Gatlinburg) or Buses(Hilton Head) to hang out in, but the restaurant is just as busy and colorful as the rest. The pizza is very good and the fresh pretzels are great as an appetizer. This is a perfect place to carb-load before a road race. My children highly recommend the appetizer pretzels. Any flavor. The cheese pizza, Philosopher’s Pie(steak, mushrooms & artichoke hearts) and Funky Q(BBQ Chicken) are our favorites. However, we have tried several other pies and have not been disappointed. They also have a great beer selection. The service is so-so and this place gets pretty crowded. Waits can be long. Take-out is a good option also if you are staying at an area hotel. I like that the take-out area is at the side of the restaurant so you do not have to come in the front and fight the crowds to get to your order. I do not notice a difference in any of these things at any of the locations. They are very consistent. Service, food and atmosphere are pretty standard. Enjoy!

Pretty good pizza if your looking for something different. The holy shiitake and the buffalo chicken are my favorite but I have tried most of the other options and all very good. The pretzel app is good but nothing to write home about. The crust on the pizza is their signature and although it is very good and thin it is a bit chewy I prefer dewys all in all. Also the prices are a bit steep but you won’t find these options at any other pizza shop… it’s not first choice for pizza but that said I am never disappointed.

Must try the mushroom pizza! Worth the trip just for this dish — best pizza I’ve had. Good spot, nice bar area and lots of booths if you prefer. They really do pizza well. Large beer selection and friendly service. Enjoy!

Mellow Mushroom consistently makes some of my favorite pizzas. My favorite is the Holy Shitake– it has the right amount of mushrooms and I love the sauce. The other pizza I frequently order is the buffalo chicken with ranch. They were very nice to the younger child in our group, and he enjoyed his kids meal and activity sheet. I like that they let you ½ 1⁄2 a pizza, though sometimes the toppings overlap a bit. They have a decent beer list with great specials. This was my first time at this location, but it delivered just like other locations where I’ve gone.

Great Pizza. Bit of a thicker crust which includes corn meal. Try the Bayou Blue, which has a nice Cajun flair. Good beer selection — don’t forget to join their mug club and reap the benefits. Service here varies — sometimes good, sometimes slow.

The pizza is good but for the prices you pay — I’d rather go to Dewey’s. And if you have a gluten allergy — be careful to stay away from the breads. I got a huge headache after having their pizzas and pretzels. But the service was excellent and the experience was cool.

Delicious pizza. If you haven’t heard the mellow mushroom speech, have them do it. It’s great. The pizza is better than the calzones if you’re going for toppings more than bread. Very vegan friendly. I’m allergic to milk. Be sure to ask them not to butter the crust. They have the friendliest staff. At Christmas a guy had lights in his beard. And the décor. How can that not enchant you?

This was our first visit to try the place after hearing about its popularity. The pizza was great, we had the white pizza with mushrooms added, a pepperoni /sausage /peppers pizza. We are connoisseurs of white pizza, and this one ranked right up there at the top. The Caesar salad was very good also. The only thing I was disappointed in was the appetizer of garlic/butter/Parmesan pretzels. They were lacking on all 3 ingredients, mainly dough that wasn’t coated enough. The server was spot on with refills and making sure we were good. Can’t ding them for the wait time on a Friday night at 6:30. We will definitely go again to try some more choices.

I will start off by saying I am not a huge fan of pizza. My favorite pizza is probably Dewey’s on the Cincinnati area. This place is a very close second for me. It’s a great place for kids lots of cool things to look at for them. Sponge bob was playing on a tv overhead on Friday night. We waited maybe ten minutes. A silly mirror my daughter who is four found very funny. We got a salad one salad to split and they actually separated it into the bowls for us. It looked like they added a bit to it to. The salad was very yummy. We also enjoyed the pizza we got also. I like the crust it was medium size not to thick or crispy thin either. It’s getting close to Christmas and they handed us a envelope that they said you don’t open it but next time you come in bring it with you and it will have a gift inside. Cute promo on their part I think. The staff seemed helpful and friendly. I hope to be stuffing my face here again soon.

First let me start off by saying that, typically we love eating here, however; if this would have been our first visit, we probably would not have come back. Thankfully, we have been to multiple locations(Atlanta, Charleston, Columbus, Del Ray Beach, Kentucky, and West Chester previously) so we are chalking this up to a off night. We went on Saturday evening about 8pm, there was no wait for three adults, so two of us sat right away in the dining room, while we waited on our friend to arrive. Our server immediately approached us to take our drink order, I ordered a water, and asked for a moment to look at the menu. He got my water and came back and took our drink orders. He asked if we were ready to order, so we ordered the meatball appetizer, it was good! After that, it took a bit for our server to come back. Our friend arrived and we ordered our pizzas. We ordered three small build your own pizza’s(pepperoni, roasted red peppers, bacon),(meatball, mozzarella, pesto, garlic),(mushroom, onion, pepperoni, x-cheese). For the dining room to be fairly empty it took almost 35 minutes for our food to come out. Once it did, only one pizza was baked correctly. Mine was underdone, it needed another 3 or 4 minutes of baking, and our friends was way over done, to the point it was burnt and had to be sent back. The crust was black on bottom and around the edges, and I am so surprised they even served it, you could smell the burning smell… We had to flag our server down to come over to show him, he called someone else over, who I am assuming was the floor manager(in a untucked flour coated black polo) who agreed it was over done, and apologized and said it would be about 7.5 minutes to refire a new pizza, it actually took about another 15 minutes before it came out. So by this time we were already done eating. His pizza finally came out and this pizza actually looked the best out of all three we got this night. We had 2 small pizzas, and 4 beers and an appetizer and our bill was $ 57.00. So a little pricey — yeah… if it would have been the typical quality and service we were accustomed too I would have been okay with the price, however, tonight was not a stellar night at the Mellow. We will give it another try, hopefully next time everything will be back on track.
