Spacious with plenty of WCU gear … the service is friendly and knowledgable. Pricing is on par with what you’d pay in a college bookstore. At least for the gear and supplies. I can’t comment on the price of books because I buy those used on amazon. The bookstore is tucked away on the lower level of Sykes — nice location. In a busy building, yet removed from some of the buzzing activity on other floors.

This is my bookstore of choice at West Chester University, where I’m currently taking classes. The store is very big, so they not only have all of the textbooks required for all classes at the university, but they also have a great selection of West Chester clothes as well. While the store is expensive, they offer a rewards program where you can earn a store credit once you accrue a certain number of points. You also have options when it comes to ordering you books. They list the books for each class online, so you do have the option to shop elsewhere, but when convenience is key, they can have your books ready and waiting for you to pick up in-store or have them shipped to you directly. You can also go into the store and pick out your books on your own. The layout of the books is by class and that can be a little confusing, but they always have a ton of staff available to assist you. Their returns and buyback processes are well run and efficient. They are also very clear and up front about the deadline for returning textbooks, so there isn’t any confusion about when a book needs to be back by if you decide you don’t need it for a class. There are certainly a lot of options when it comes to buying your books, but it’s good to know that if you need a textbook quickly, you have a convenient, well run store right on campus.
