Tommy’s Original Pizza

The only reason I did not give Tommy’s a 5 Star review was due to the many times our «sides» have not been included in the delivery order. However, the next time we place an order, it is kindly acknowledged and, at no charge, the sides are sure to be sent. This is terrific customer service & business, but when looking forward to something ordered, you really want it the first time. Otherwise, food always good, hot, delivery on-​time (or earlier!) and staff friendly! Truly our favorite delivery service!

Hit some rough spots lately with my orders from Tommy’s. In 2 of the last 3 delivery orders I’ve placed, I was quoted 45 mins delivery time and delivery took over an hour. First time I called and was told that there was a large order placed at the same time as mine which backed things up. Sure, I can understand how that happens. Proactive communication would have been nice but ultimately the food was decent temperature upon arrival. In the recent case of the hour-​plus delivery last night, pizza and meatball sandwich arrived lukewarm at best. On a previous order, the driver didn’t have enough change (I gave $ 40 on a ~$ 25 order) so the driver walked away with a $ 10 tip, plus $ 3 delivery fee.
With the number of pizza places in the area, I’m going to need to reconsider my options. Places like Tommy’s might need to up their game with Pica’s opening up a half-​mile down the road.

The best pizza place in West Chester in our opinion and we’ve tried a lot. They deliver beer!!! And the Manager’s and worker’s are always awesome. I sound like a Commercial so I’ll add we have had mistakes in their orders. They have sent the wrong thing 3 different times to us… Funny thing is, it was still delicious and they made up for it.

We would go once a week. Food was just ok. Nothing is home made. We stopped going once their service stopped. Perhaps from inattentive owners who are very seldom there is the reason the place has become a failure. Pizza is below average, a poorly run service bar and overall less than adequate. With new places opening so close by I can see that this place won’t last.

Tommy’s has always had pretty tasty pizza, but terrible service. One instance, I waited more than 30 minutes for food (after I ordered) and then was told they forgot to put in the order. Some of the staff plays on the phone instead of serving customers. There have been other instances of bad service as well. The only reason they get 2 stars instead of 1 is the good pizza.

Stopped in while in the area. Extremely friendly service and outstanding food. We had chicken parmigiana sub, wings, and meatball Stromboli and would recommend all.

We stopped here only out of convenience. The pizza was only ok. Cheesesteak was only ok. Chicken cheesesteaks were excellent.
Overall a subpar experience. I will not return.

Really uninspired. It’s owned by a local car dealer and I swear he only got it to have someplace to eat. I’ve tried it three times. Nothing special at all and the pizza is really not good. I always hope to find good fresh quality food in West Chester and I’m mostly disappointed.

Tommy’s not only has great food but they carry the best hand picked craft beers in town. They rotate their selection frequently so don’t miss a beat if you’re a fan of variety.

Squishy pizza. Can’t stand squishy pizza. Fresh vegetables, but mediocre meat flavor. Sauce in nondescript. «Cheap» pizza, though not inexpensive. It just tastes like cheap pizza. You can pay the same, though, and go to a coal-​fired pizza place with so much more flavor, better ingredients, and crisper crusts.

Our first time trying this place. Ordered the thin crust pizza with pepperoni, sausage, onions, olives and mushrooms. Crust edge was cooked great but the pizza itself was soft and somewhat soggy. We tagged more cheese, onions and mushrooms than pepperoni, and the sausage was so thinly sliced we could hardly taste it. Don’t know of this was because we came in at 830pm since they close at 9 but we were just not thrilled. Ordered a garden salad consisting of only iceberg lettuce chunks hit it had plenty of veggies on top. Not worth 5 bucks though. We will not be coming back.

My girlfriend recently moved to the area and I was on my own for dinner as she was out with a friend.
I remembered a Tommy’s Pizza from back in the days I lived in Ohio and thought I’d give it a try. The place was jamming — not a seat open anywhere. A youth lacrosse team from Delaware had taken the restaurant over. Good thing I was doing takeout.
I got the medium pizza/​6 wing special deal as well as a small Caesar salad.
The pizza was fair. Typical of many pizzas in the area. Part of the problem is it was not pipping hot since I had to wait for the rest of the order. Nothing is worse than getting home and your pizza is at best warm. As a pizza junky I usually insist on eating it in the parlor when it comes out of the oven for maximum taste but that wasn’t a possibility. The wings were ok. Not great. Not terrible. Nice size with a decent hot buffalo sauce.
The Caesar salad was fair. Lettuce tasted like it was out of the bag. The home made dressing was unimpressive.
I appreciated the young man with the backwards baseball hat that bird dogged my order. Usually I don’t tip on takeout but I did this time to thank him. Shame the food wasn’t as good.

This place used to be awesome. I’m not sure what happened, but the service is sow, everyone seems confused and the beer selection is slim.

My girlfriend and I order takeout at least 2 times a month. I have never been disappointed. They always meet or exceed expectations with delivery time. Great menu, our go to’s are ziti, lasagna, Stromboli, and of course the pizza. Will continue to order frequently.

I ordered the tuna salad on a salad and a veggie wrap on separate occasions, and both were fresh and tasty. I’ve been to many Italian restaurants and have been disappointed by the lack of quality ingredients. Not only was the food delicious but the delivery man was very kind! I will definitely be ordering here more often.

My son and I picked up two pizzas on 10÷3÷14. A Neapolitan and a Bianco with meatball which were absolutely amazing. The service was superior as always, the two gals were very nice and professional. The owner is a very nice lady and always goes above and beyond to make your experience a great one. Tommy’s is the place to go for great pizza and outstanding service. Everyone is pleasant and always helpful at this establishment. Great menu as well. Try Tommy’s you won’t be disappointed!

Tommy’s is much more than pizza. Their dinners are as good as any Italian restaurant in the area.
The wait staff is courteous and friendly. They run a fantastic operation, and deserve to be on anyone’s list of favorites who enjoys good food prepared very very well.

Fantastic pizza!!! Really fresh… great flavor in the sauce, beautiful crust and fresh toppings. Very friendly staff. Every time I’ve called in for takeout or delivery I am treated like a friend. Highly recommend!

Good neighborhood place to grab a quick pizza or a sandwich. The staff was very helpful and the food was great too. We tried a cheese pizza, a gluten free pizza with onions, mushrooms and broccoli and a gyro. Everything came out quickly and was quite tasty!

For take out pizza, wings and salads, Tommy’s has never steered us wrong. If you’re looking for something different and delicious, try their bacon cheddar cheeseburger pizza! Mozz sticks are a solid bet, as is the Greek salad.
And the wings are cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of spice on the medium level sauce. They’re not the fastest, but their time estimations for pick up and delivery are always accurate.
And the gentlemen that have served us have always been pleasant to talk to! All in all, a solid bet for pizza in the outer edges of West Chester.
