Come for the delicious BLT’s, stay for the cheap cans of Hudepohl!
I don’t know why you’d ever be in College Corner but if you find yourself in the area and your stomach is rumbling, look no further than the CC Tavern.
WARNING — the place is in Indiana and thus they are still able to smoke inside.
The BLT’s here are terrific. I’d say 7 – 8 pieces of bacon on each, maybe more. They are not stingy and thus, these sandwiches are not healthy. I’d say there’s very little about this place that is, really, but that’s not why you go. This is a dive bar — a fairly nice, clean one, but a dive nonetheless. Heading in here for lunch at 11:45 or so, there will already be a few older fellas propping up the bar. They will all have lit cigarettes. The menu reads like a typical bar menu, nothing fancy. Trust me, go for the BLT.
They have Coke products here and a full bar. Cans of Hudepohl are just $ 1.50 all the time, and the BLT is only $ 3.50. So swing by the CC and grab a good sandwich and a Hudy… and don’t wear your favorite shirt.
