This place is smack-yo-mammy good. I’ve rarely run across anything that doesn’t taste like my mom’s home cooking, and the service is friendly. The décor is kind of quaint, but it fits nicely. I really do love this place — I can’t say enough good about it, so I’m going to stop writing this review and get ready to go eat there instead.

Buffet. This place used to be sooo good! If it isn’t broke don’t fix it! The best things were the salad bar and that strawberry cake that I haven’t seen in awhile. It is good food but the quality has went down hill since the remodel.

The atmosphere is homey and friendly. The restaurant is always clean and tidy. The food is always good and the buffet is constantly restocked. This is down home Southern cooking at its simplest and best. I eat here about once a week and have never had a bad meal. I uploaded current 2015 menus. Enjoy!

The only thing keeping it from being 5-star is the décor or lack there of. For about $ 11.00 for dinner including ice tea you can’t go wrong. It’s a nice selection of tasty southern comfort food. And as buffets go… the service is excellent!

I loved this place, but if you are looking for candlelight dining atmosphere this is not it. What they do have is some of the best southern home cooking I’ve ever had, which is more amazing considering its buffet style… and it’s reasonably priced. It’s all good here!

I wanted to find some where to eat I went to my Unilocal app. i found Carolina Buffet. Thought well I will try it, The reviews looks good. WOW! it was very good the best country cooking i have had in a while. I did not know this place was here but a lot of others did the parking lot was packed. But we didn’t have to wait and the food is worth the wait(If you have to wait lol)

OMG!!! This place is a MUST visit. Not much to look at but the FOOD! All is homemade. If your from the south and you had a grandma that could cook good southern food. This is what you want to come back to. So very very good. Now I will tell you… if you are a Clemson Fan(GOTIGERS!!!) be careful you are in Gamecock territory. I think it is a requirement to work there… They were all wearing those horrible shirts! I almost did not make it out alive because I ate so much. Oh and if they have the Sour Cream Pound Cake swimming in Strawberries and Whipped Cream… GETIT!!! WHAT! That’s all I have to say.

Very strip mall nothing fancy buffet type of place… OMG is the food unbelievable! It felt like Thanksgiving at my Mother in Laws… Awesome home cooked southern fare! The Fried Chicken is Right! Cabbage, Fried fish, Some of the best pulled pork BBQ, definitely diggin the South Carolina mustard based sauce. Some seriously good eats for like ten bucks! Great Staff, Now I just have to find a place like this that isn’t 237 miles away!

EXCELLENTFOOD! Good REAL food instead of chain restaurant stuff. And the fried chicken? Just amazing. It’s slightly pricey but it is very good nonetheless and the drink is included in it. I love this place and drive 17 minutes each way at lunch time to eat there. I’d drive further if need be. All of the food is great. I don’t know about the desserts because I am always too full to try them lol!

Want some home cooking? You’ve found it. I’m opening up a retail shop in the same plaza as Carolina Buffet and after a week of seeing a line down the sidewalk, we had to see what the fuss was about… We went on a Sunday… chicken and rolled dumplings(I think they call it chicken pot pie here), real fried chicken(so moist & the batter is perfect) roasted pork loin, all kinds of sides and even the desserts are home made. The service was great, everyone is very friendly and you will NEVER have to ask for a drink refill. Which, by the way, your drink is included in the buffet price, making it less expensive that all the other buffets in Lexington and Columbia. It’s a very casual atmosphere… disposable plates and utensils, seat yourself. They also offer togo by the pound too, if your looking for a grab and go lunch. Check it out and tell«Grandma» at the register that Colleen from Mickey’s sent you!

On Friday nights they have fried seafood. Shrimp and fish were excellent. Homemade tartar sauce with lots of dill. Shrimp gravy and grits were good too. Peach cobbler was great, they just need to get an ice cream machine! Heard the line is out the door for Sunday lunch.
