Our family was referred to Katie after my husband and I were granted permanent guardianship of our 5 year old grandson. Our grandson suffered so much neglect, abuse and loss in his short little life, it was hard to tell whether his difficulties were as a result of in utero drug/​alcohol exposure, developmental delays or sheer trauma!
We were so relieved to finally «get» Katie, who kindly and compassionately helped guide us through the process of getting the answers we wanted and the help our grandson needed! We have found Katie to be reliable, conscientious and very thorough. She has even gone to school with our grandson and spent the day with him and his teachers, in order to get a clearer picture of the issues he faces.
But more importantly, Katie is empathetic! She has sat in our home, more than once, and cried with us. That kind of emotional support is invaluable to us, above and beyond the practical help that she continues to provide.
She is a gift to our family.
