Small cozy place to get drinks and snacks and possibly do work. The original icy milk is the most popular and I definitely agree. Their boba is really good, the perfect firmness, chewy, but not too chewy. It’s one of the more pricey boba places, but they use real fruit and can mix flavors. My friend got the passion fruit green tea and it was made with real passion! It wasn’t too sweet, kind of tart-y. The staff is nice and helpful. They will recommend drinks if you ask them for suggestions. The only thing I don’t like about this place is the restroom. Not very clean and smells nasty.

Best Icy Milk Pudding boba in the 626 in my opinion. Been to several boba spots and this one has to be my favorite still. It is a must have. Whenever I’m in the area stopping here is a requirement.

Gave this place a second chance, but NO! Worst tea I have ever tried. I order a passion fruit green tea with aloe The tea had a burnt taste and the aloe tasted old. Never coming back!

I really don’t know the fuss of this place. Used to be decent. This time Drinks were either too sweet or left a nasty after taste. Service was friendly but I don’t plan on returning because drinks were just terrible. Not worth the $$$

Service isn’t very inviting when you walk in, but never the less… The icy milk slush was ok with brown sugar /boba/pudding! I didn’t understand after why people raved about this drink. I’ve had better before. The boba is BLAND and has a super weird after taste. However, the pudding had a nice texture and was sweet. If you really needed a fix for an icy brown sugar milk slush, then this would be your option! Hubby got the oreo banana icy milk with pudding and boba. Would have taste better without both.(the flavors didn’t blend too well). On the plus side, I def. Like the ambience of the interior, not the average looking tea house. I will come back some time to try the avocado smoothie.

One of the best places to go to when you want that refreshing tea on a hot summer night. Fried squid is a perfect snack to go with the teas. Smoothies are good. The only thing I would complain about is I don’t know why but at night this funky and I mean funky smell punches you in the face when you walk in. But let’s be real, shit happens, does it sill smell weird at night? I honestly don’t know but it’s nothing to stop you from coming here. Food & drinks 10⁄10 Customer service 10⁄10

Mediocre milk tea place. There are tables for people to study but you’ll have to buy a drink to access the wifi. I came here thinking ice milk drink might seem to have the same consistency as half and half milk tea but I was so wrong! It’s a slush so it’s basically a bunch of ice crunched into tiny bits. It was also as pricey if not more compared to half and half with the same quantity!

I would say hands down. that it is THEBEST boba place I’ve been to. Everytime I’m in the area, I would stop by this area. They have amazing icy milks. Their icy milks, Oreo/Strawberry Oreo were amazing. I don’t think I’ve had better icy milks before. If you’re not looking for something as sweet, I would say you should go for one of their teas. They have amazing blends of flavors with their green teas. I tried it because they had random deal on it, I think it was a buy one get one green tea? I forgot. But, after they had their promotion, I was definitely addicted to their teas. I’ve ordered their food before, but I would say that their drinks are more outstanding than the food. Most of what they have are usually appetizers anyway, so you can’t really mess up on fries or chicken, right? But, yeah I highly suggest you check this out.

Kiddos were craving iced milk with boba and brown sugar … sugar rush time for them I guess. They love this drink. Boba was still warm.

Their iced milk drinks are DELICIOUS! Unfortunately, my favorite place to get iced milk drinks in OC stopped serving them. My friends and I were in LA and we discovered this boba shop through Unilocal. After a year of not having iced milk and several failed attempts of trying to make them at home, Black & White has been the answer to our prayers! Although it is a 40 minute drive from where I’m from… it is worth it! However, if you’re going to make the long drive just for boba, I would definitely call ahead of time and ask them if they still have boba and if the boba is cold. Why cold boba instead of fresh hot boba? Because what’s the point of an iced milk drink if you have fresh hot boba melting the ice, turning your«iced milk» drink into just milk…

Icy milk with brown sugar?! It’s ice cold, fresh, soft and with warm chewy boba PLUS sweet flan like pudding … Yes please! I used to drink boba a lot in my younger days… And it’s been many months since I’ve had it, so today after a long night I decided to treat myself! They have real taro FYI… And a decent size drink menu. I usually get the icy milk slush with the boba and pudding, but today I got the caramel milk with boba. Very refreshing and gewdduh –but too sweet for my taste. Great service as always… FYI:Try to bring cash due to a 50 cent charge. I will def come back to try the matcha milk it loooksss really good!!!

Icy milk was delicious! I thought the iced milk at half and half was delicious but this place puts half and half to shame. I live about 40 minutes away and was craving iced milk so badly… no iced milk offered in my area so I came here through a friend’s recommendation. Although the icy milk did not disappoint, I was pretty bummed that they ran out of boba when I arrived. I asked for a regular iced milk with pudding and boba and the guy said«sorry, but we’re low in boba. We only have a little left.» I told him that I didn’t mind, I just wanted to try their boba. He then said«oh sorry, no more boba.» So confusing… haha. Would give 5 stars but given the popularity of boba, I don’t think a place that specializes in drinks like these should ever run out of it. Also, don’t lie and tell me you’re low on boba when you’re actually out of it!

Best frosted milk(icy milk) I’ve ever had hands down! Not to mention the price point of their frosted milk(or what they call icy milk) is a bit lower than ones in the SGV region(i.e. Oh my pan). I love the atmosphere of this place as the noise level isn’t crazy and their decors are super cute(definitely Instagram worthy btw). B&W is my go to drink place whenever I happen to be in Walnut!

This was a great find in a low foot traffic plaza. Their signature Icy milk drink, added some pudding and boba which made it just right. Mango green tea, using real mango juice, what a plus. Most places use syrup for their flavored drinks, boo!

Excellent friendly service! Super fast. Greeted by the stylish, badass-looking barista at the register who made reccomendations for our first time visiting. The Taro icy milk is magnificent. Chocolatey & with a great drinking texture. OG Icy Milk is like Meow Meow/Premier Dessert Kitchen’s, except much smoother. Meow Meow/PDK’s gets icy clumps after a while. Not Black & White’s. It stays smooth, and ice clump-free. I’m now a fan of B&W’s smoother & less icy texture. The serving size is smaller than PDK/MeowMeow, with a similar price. It was under $ 10 for 2 regular size Icy Milks. I feel like you pay for quality here at Black and White, however. It’s worth it, if you’re enjoying one for yourself, and have to watch your waistline. The awesome, friendly service & cool atmosphere alone trumps the competition. The staff said goodbye & thanked us. We’ll definitely be back to try & review the other drinks.

Meow Meow was my go-to spot for icy milk drinks, but after finding out they were with new management(and the drinks had gone downhill), my boyfriend & I opted to go here instead. SO glad we decided to come! I ordered the original icy milk drink with brown sugar(you can sub it for caramel if you prefer), pudding, and boba. Definitely not as sweet as Meow Meow but still so good. My only complaint is that they should’ve added more brown sugar ;) Boyfriend decided on an icy matcha drink with boba & red bean and needless to say he finished it! I’m not as big of a red bean fan as he is but it was gooood(I still liked mine better though hehe). Place is clean & cute, drinks came out in less than 10 minutes. The only thing I will say is the cashier wasn’t exactly friendly. Not rude either, but customer service skills could definitely be brushed up on. Only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars. Protip: ask for the rewards card! You can choose a keychain version or an actual card. Every 10 drinks you earn a free green or black tea, I believe(don’t quote me on the rewards). The cashier didn’t offer it to us so I had to ask. Get yo money’s worth! Let me know what you think or what to try next!

Came back here again after my 1st visit from 2.5 years ago. Menu still looks the same as before — icy milks(with various combinations such as Oreo, espresso, and matcha), smoothies, flavored milk tea, and of course — B&W(black and white — more like black and CLEAR) boba. Free wi-fi available and this store is also a part of the FiveStars program(it is a customer loyalty program — Volcano Tea House, Boba Loca, The Boba Truck are all in the network). Buy 10 get 1 regular size green tea or black tea free(or you pay a bit more for a more expensive drink). Original Icy Milk(boba + grass jelly — brown sugar, $ 3.65): You have the option of choosing caramel or brown sugar. B&W boba were pretty good — chewy and not too sweet. Overall the drink was just slightly too sweet for my taste, but this icy milk drink was far better than Oh My Pan’s frosted milk and Meow Meow’s iced milk drink(Meow Meow Café has been renovated to Premier Dessert Kitchen in April 2015). Other than somewhat inconvenient /out-of-the-way location, this is a solid establishment for decent icy milk boba drinks. This will be my 2nd or 3rd best iced milk drink option in the east of 605 freeway(my 1st option would be organic milk drink from Health Station — ).

First 5 star review I have given this year! I consider myself a boba connoisseur(boba-seur, patent pending) being from the San Gabriel Valley where boba lives. I’ve been meaning to go to black and white for years but have been waiting for the hype to die down. Even with all the hype I was absolutely blown away by my order. The Oreo Icy Milk is a beast of a drink. Not too thick like a milkshake, well blended, almost like Oreos and milk before bed. The boba is the perfect consistency since they serve it warm to mix. The only downside at this location is that there is absolutely no parking. It is far too busy all the time so park across the street and work for your boba. Overall I would come here again because there is no gray area when it comes to their Oreo shake!
