Service was great, very attentive and friendly especially Mike. The food was delicious as well. We had the ahi poke nachos and chicken screws with brown rice/salad. I recommend the zucchini salad. Can’t wait to come back and try other menu items.

I have wanted to try to place for a while now and im glad I did. It was pretty empty on a Friday night, but whose complaining? My boyfriend and I got the Poke bowl, kalbi beef sSam bap, and the ramen burger. Poke bowl was decent. I’ve had better but this isn’t a poke bowl only restaurant so it was pretty good. The sSambap was my favorite. Very flavorful and all around a delicious appetizer of some sorts. The ramen burger was soso. I had the original ramen burger at the 626 night market and that was really good. I felt like the bun was not crispy enough. The staff was very friendly and that is always a plus. They also have a fill your own water station, which I love because I drink water like a fish. Will I be back? Of course! I’m excited to go back and try their other items as well as their drinks.

Next time don’t charge for something you are going to forget to put in. Restaurants and food places like this are in such a hurry to rack you up on adding an egg to burger. Yet forget to actually do it. Also thanks for forgetting about my Thai ice tea. Food wasn’t that great either. Waste of money!

3.5 stars. I’ll round up to 4. Cha Café, located in the plaza that is behind the Edwards theater, serves you Asian Fusion! Something that’s been popping up more and more in the last couple of years: D. When entering, there were tables to the right and some stool seats/table on the left. We sat down and grabbed a menu from the cashier area. When you look around, you see sandwiches, tacos, poke, tacos and when you flip around to the back, a lot of different drinks. The store itself is pretty small but you can also choose to sit outdoors as well if you so do wish. I got myself poke nachos which are fried wonton strips with a sauce I don’t know, onions, and tuna served on top. If you put the tuna with the wonton strips perfectly, it tastes good. They even have some extra«spicy» sauce that they put in a squeeze plastic bottle that you can use to put some more if you don’t have enough. For me, the whole thing was complete. But the thing with the poke nachos is that the tuna was not the color of red that you typically see tuna as when you got out for ayce or something. The color was more of a red-brown. I don’t know if that’s because the tuna is a little bit older/cheaper or if it’s because of the sauce that they add the tuna with to generate the poke. I don’t know. Second thing is that they don’t put enough tuna on top with the chips. It gets tiring if you’re eating a wonton strip with sauce and not with a meat! :P But I can see why, given the price. Service was nice, as they checked up regularly and asked how our meal was, if we enjoyed it, if we needed anything else. Also, water is across from the cashier’s place(and they also have sauces you can use!) Also, scuttlebutt on the street says to get the sandwich. And upgrade the chips to fries. That’s what scuttlebutt says. Not me: P

A mom and pop place for delish street food. I’m glad I discovered this hidden gem. We got beef tacos, poke, and a few others. See photo! Will we come back? Yes we will. Its hidden in a deserted place, next to Edwards THEATRES. Run down community, I guess rent must be more on the affordable side for such fair pricing on the food.

Cute joint. Ordered the ramen burger and chicken fajita fries. Order took over 25 min with no forewarning or any advising while I waited alone on a stool inside. So, it’s safe to say don’t come in a rush or just call ahead. Anyhow. The ramen burger looked delicious however it was lacking flavor that I know could have been there. I ordered it with an egg inside which was good. That’s just it-It was jus good, as in okay. I feel like they could’ve sprinkled the beef ramen flavor packet on it & it wouldve been amazing. The fajita fries looked great but also lacked flavor. After a few bites, they both became like a bit of a task for me. Just a lil boring. The customer service was very friendly. Shop was clean, a lil trendy and eclectic.

I must come back here again~! Best comfort food ever bc I was dying in pain with cramps; n; but I never expected it to be here since and I pass by this place pretty often. It’s so quaint in there and relaxing. Get their poke nachos & ninja fries! I kept reading the reviews that the ninja fries are addicting. My bf and I kept eating it. I forgot what he got but he really liked it, I think it was called chicken wang ! Service was very kind, two girls that say my pleasure or would answer any questions that we needed ^^

I probably can love this place but I think the restaurant was just having an off-day? The poke nachos were good, but the poke seemed a bit old with its slight discoloration. As for the ramen burger, the ramen part is too flavorless and while I give them props that it was still in tact as I was eating it, the burger itself wasn’t what I expected from Unilocal reviews I read. I LOVE their sauce though. I literally added that to everything I ate! Also, they have excellent service for the girls working there really cared and listened to our requests! Overall it was an okay experience and I’m down to come back and try their crazy fries!

Just thought I drop by my neck of the woods and see what’s fresh around here. Cha Café, a new fusion food joint that took over Chickenbox(broasted chicken). A little history of the place since this part of town is being renovated and will soon to start boom due to the development of the new apartments building. Now on with the food, I took a quick browse over the menu but Unilocal the place out before I arrive. I decided to go on the light side of lunch and opt for the Ahi Tuna Poke over rice with a Lychee tea. The service was great and friendly. Comfort setting as I place my order and decided to dine in. My order came out and was brought to me instead of picking up from the counter like normal eateries are. That’s always a plus in my book. First bite into the Ahi Tuna I could taste the very flavorful seasoning, garnish with scallion and shallots. The tuna I would grade as mediocre since I had my fair share of fresh caught Ahi Tuna. The taste is balance with a side of broccoli lightly season and a drizzle of sauce. They also provided some ponzu sauce to go with the poke in case you need something to dip. The lychee tea was refreshing, not too sweet or bland; perfect hints of lychee flavor. Overall, the taste is great, experience is good, and it’s a great addition to the neighborhood for awesome fusion food. I’ll look forward to trying more food off the menu.

So awesome! CHA stands for Comfort, Healthy and Appetizers. We focused on Comfort and Appetizers when we came lol. So far we have tried: Comfort Rice Box CR3: Beef Wang — Yummy Stir Fry Galbi Hungry Rice Plate HR5: Sampler — Fresh grilled meat and shrimp. Very savory Fries and Nachos B5: Pastrami Cheese Fries — So unique! I couldn’t stop eating this Everything is so flavorful and the portions are generous. I’ll admit that the first location in El Monte made the restaurant a turn-off because of the shady location, but now that I’ve actually tried the food, I am very impressed and will probably come to either location again in the future. Only in the daytime, of course. The food is delicious, the presentation is vibrant, and the customer service is 5-stars!

I’m giving this spot 5 stars based upon their service. The people that work here make this place special. From the moment you walk in they’re friendly and helpful. Grab an oversized menu leaning against the front counter and place your order at the register. We ordered a tasty honeydew mojito(virgin), iced coffee and their famous ninja fries. How can you pass up fries named after 15th century Japanese assassins? You must not. We also picked up a ahi tuna wrap and an order of kalbi ssam. Everything was… just okay. Lacking in flavor and in protein, a little disappointing. Their veggies were super fresh though. BUT really their saving gace? Their drinks are on point. Creative, refreshing and really tasty. So about their service — my friend and I took a table outside. We had our spread of food in front of us and I went to reach for my drink… I grabbed it from the top and the lid slipped off and the drink splattered all over the table and some on my friend. It basically exploded. I ran inside for some napkins and the girl grabbed a towel and rushed out to help. Cleaned off our table and they offered to make me another drink, on the house. They really didn’t have to do that. But they did. It was thoughtful and nice of them. It spoke volumes, I felt extremely good to spend my time and money at a place that puts their customers first. People over profits. Cheers to the team here at Cha Café!

I was fairly surprised on how much I enjoyed the times I’ve eaten at this place. This café is located in the small plaza behind the Edwards Movie Theater next to One World. They have plenty of seating outside and about seating for 20 – 25 people inside. The restrooms located in the back are pretty clean and well-maintained. When you first look at the menu, you can easily tell from the food that they offer that they specialize in Asian fusion food, and they do a very good job at it. I’ve tried a bunch of the items here, ranging from the cheesesteak and chicken fajita fries, spam and egg box, to the ramen and cha cheeseburger. To be honest, you can’t go wrong with either one of those. I highly recommend getting the cha cheeseburger and the cheesesteak fries. The cha cheeseburger comes in a King’s Hawaiian bun and also comes with their house chips. I suggest putting those house chips into the burger for a nice crunch. The ramen burger was pretty good as well. The ramen was cooked to perfection and did not fall apart when I was eating the burger. If you get the burger, chips and/or fries, drenching them with the cha sauce is a must. Their cha sauce is fantastic and makes everything takes twice as good. I highly recommend adding that to everything you eat. The service here is very good. They workers here are nice, respectful and courteous. The food usually comes in a timely fashion. They also always provided me with a bottle of Cha sauce so I don’t have to go to the canister to get it. Overall, this is one of the best Asian Fusion spots in West Covina and a must try if you’re looking for a place to eat in this area!

Very tidy cute café with patio. I like the pacific asian influence and the sneaky way they hide veggies in they’re «comfort food». Mushrooms in the beef rice plates, DELISH. Tried a number of items here and am always impressed by the cleanliness, and friendly wait staff. Worth a lunch trip Fo Sho.

Located in the little shopping area across the street from the movie theaters. Came in with my boyfriend after seeing a movie across the street and wanted to get a bite to eat. Their menu ranges from different smoothies to salads and sandwiches to rice dishes. Definitely have a lot to choose from! Got the strawberry Mojito($ 4.95), small shaved ice($ 2.75), and the chicken fajita fries($ 7.95). The fries were a decent size, good for two people. Their strawberry Mojito was good, wish they added alcohol in it tho since they have an alcohol license and all. Nothing special with their shaved ice(wanted to get it because since it was so hot that day haha) Service was good and the server was very attentive. I have so much stuff I still want to try! Will def be back!

I enjoyed my food here. I especially enjoyed my beef fries. I, although, oddly had a disappointing time eating the widely enjoyed and word of mouth’ed Beef Wang Box. I just kept having a lingering feeling, if I would have been better off eating across the street at Far East Joint. I ordered 6 wings, the 3 star(popular) beef steak fries, and the 3 star beef wang box with my S/O. I enjoyed 2 out of the 3. The wings were a little better than run of the mill and they were a good appetizer, but they’re weren’t anything quite mezmorizing to talk much about. I also had the beef steak fries and it was just as described. It delivered. I would order it again. I then got the widely famous beef wang box. As a carnevore like me, I expect meat from this beef named box and I don’t think I got that. I got a slight portion of what I would call Minced Beef with shrouds of covered mushrooms. I have nothing against Mushrooms, but I don’t remember ordering the Mushroom Wang Box featuring a side of leftover meat servings from the last meal. I was basically looking for beef like I would be looking for waldo. There goes the mystery of If I should have gone to Far East Joint. I assume I was just caught off a plate from other plates. It’s obvious this place is popular, but I would just find this place OK for me. Thanks for the meal.

We are seeing more and more restaurants doing the Korean/Mexican or Asian Fusion that made Roy Choi and his Kogi Trucks famous. Although this place was good, I don’t see what sets them apart — therefore the average rating. It is located on a strip by a plaza and a movie theater so there is plenty of parking with seating indoors and outdoors. Bulgogi Tacos: The bulgogi pieces were so tiny and minced that there wasn’t that bite that I like on meats. Flavor was there but a bit too sweet. Shredded Pork Tacos: Same flavor profile as the bulgogi tacos. The pork was a bit tough and dry but the Cha Sauce made it a little better. Poke Nachos: Fried wonton chips with Tuna. Pretty good but pretty stingy on the tuna(which is completely understandable). The fried wontons were pretty good and the tuna was as fresh as you would expect from a café. Overall, I would get this again. Average food but the service was excellent!

This a review based on my last visit and based on their take out. I ordered the pastrami fries. For $ 9 it was fair and the portion was sufficient. I ate it for lunch and eating it with a fork is the best weapon to attack with. Sriracha sauce and ketchup worked will with it to keep it interesting. My pug smelled the aroma of the pastrami and she sneezed on it. I still ate it of course. My pug, Bambi is one clean baby. 10 minutes was all I needed to devour this dish. I recommend it and next time I will try the ramen burger.

This place is much smaller than the one in Azusa, but the food is no less delicious. My whole reason for coming here are the Ninja Fries– Thin slices of kabocha/squash fried in tempura batter and served with a side of spicy mayo. The portions are sizable, too, so it’s enough to make a meal out of those crispy bad boys. They have a fairly large of menu of your typical Asian after-school fare, complete with blended sugar bombs of many different flavors, from coconut-banana, to mocha frapps, and a plethora of teas & boba, and even refreshing non-alcoholic mojitos. Most of the food here may not be the healthiest, but there are times when only a big box of poke– raw fish– nachos, carnitas nachos, ramen burgers & chilli fries, a heaping sandwich with a side of kettle chips, or a bowl of sushi & teriyaki will do. They even have sweet & spicy gummy candy. Ugh, sounds like pregnancy gone wild. Anyway, you get the picture. My favorite things are still the Ninja Fries, veggie egg rolls, fruit teas, & teriyaki bowls. But the menu is ever-expanding, and the food is never boring, so you have your pick of the litter. Also, salads. They have plenty of those, too. You know… In case you care.
