Last year I was referred to Marie to help me with a serious legal issue that needed an immediate response. My experience was very similar to Bri B. She was very nice and said she could help me write a response to an order from the court. She told me it would cost $ 1500 to prepare the document and file with the court. I told her I didn’t have all that money and could she help. She didn’t seem to want to budge but assured me she was giving me a deal because how I was referred to her. That I was being treated like family. (later I found out that she didn’t give any discount and grossly over charged me in my moment of desperation). Her son calls me the next day to scare me by telling me that if I didn’t take immediate steps, I would get another notice and then would be worse. I borrowed the money and went the next day to bring her cash. I had my realtor get involved to help explain and provide her with any necessary documents. My realtor told me she didn’t feel Marie knew what she was doing. Should have been a clue.
Everything Marie asked me for, I provided immediately by email or in person. It took her over a week to start preparing the response and it was filled with error, typos and unorganized. She kept changing it and telling me that she has been doing this for over 25 years and knew what she was doing. I visited her several times to get the document and up to the last day she was still typing it and changing the story.
I did end up getting another notice from the opposing attorney’s that freaked me out and scanned it to her immediately. She asked me to come to her office to bring her originals of a document I had emailed her, just to find out she didn’t need them. She was disorganized and sloppy. She lost some documents that I had to resend to her. She couldn’t print anything either. She wanted me to use her referred attorney resource to contact the opposing attorneys’ office to get them to negotiate. She told me she had a list of attorney’s she uses that were the best in their fields. Together they spent over 2 weeks «Researching» what they needed to do. When I spoke with him, I felt I was talking to Mr. Magoo. He did not instill any confidence or credibility in any of our conversations. More that he wanted to ramble about how many years he’s been in law and experience. I think he was a retired attorney that she gets her legal information from. Very old school. He didn’t have a grasp of what he was going to do or say. I don’t think he was a real estate attorney. I was fearful of him talking to the other attorney’s and say something that would cause me more money.
Her staff, although very sweet, were completely incompetent to handle legal matters of any sort. Marie was very mean and rude to them. I think they were her family too and looked like they were very intimidated and scared of her. In my presence she spoke down to them.
I finally came in to pick up the court response after spending 2 more hours helping her write it on the last day it needed to be filed AND, I took it myself to the Pomona Court. I now paid her $ 1500 to help her write my response and drive it myself to the court and file it.
After this, I could no longer have her represent me. I told her I was not happy with her services and felt that she over charged me and took advantage of my situation and vulnerability. She told me that she was worth her fees and didn’t feel that she did anything wrong. I told her I would be willing to pay for her document to the court as a Paralegal fees of $ 250 but would be expecting a refund. She told me that she doesn’t give refunds but might consider it because of all the time she and Mr. Magoo had spent «Researching» my case. That they had spend many days and hours and hours doing «Research». I finally had to borrow again to hire another attorney. A Real Estate attorney who knew immediately what needed to be done and how to do it. He didn’t need to do any Research. He represented me fully and did an awesome job and great outcome. No Thanks to Marie and Preferred Services. Oh by the way, she did send me a check for $ 375 after I told her that I was willing to get my new attorney to file against her.

Thnk u Preferred services for helping with my legal problem. I got referred by a friend which was very happy with her experience. The team of preferred all wrk together and do whtever need to get done to resolve your legal issues. Highly recommend this place for any legal problem or legal advise.

I just wanted to take time to thank Jay & Marie an the staff for helping me with my Child Support case. They did an outstanding job. Everything went my way. I highley recommended them to anyone. Very reasonable peices.

I can’t express the amazing service I received from Marie and her staff. She was very knowledgeable in the field of law. She is also very accommodating to her clients and there needs. My work schedule is very consuming of time. So when I explained to her that I needed accommodations to see her, she was more then willing to see me when I needed to, not like other businesses that are very strict and appointment regulated. Being that this was my first initial visit meeting with her, she sat me down and listened to my needs and concerns. After we talked for what seemed like hours, I agreed to have her write my declaration for modification of custody for my daughter. I couldn’t be happier. The declaration she wrote for me was written so well, that it actually got the attention of the judge. She did the impossible for me. She got the judge to really listen to the needs of my daughter. That’s something no attorney has ever been able to do for me. All the attorneys I had hired in the past had done what they wanted, rather then what I needed. I wasted my savings trying to get one these attorneys to show me results. In the end all they did was sell me out. Not Marie, she’s not only my paralegal she’s also turned into a real friend. Being referred to her was the best thing that’s ever happened me and my daughter. I would refer her to anyone that needed sound legal advice.

I was referred to Marie by a friend who had used her services in the past. When I first called, she was very friendly and invited me to her office right away. When I arrived, she gave me a free consultation, and seemed very through and knowledgeable. She told me it would cost $ 500 to file a request for order. I thought about it, and called her the next day to arrange for her to perform the service.
A few days later, I arrived to pick up my paperwork, and frankly, was horrified at the sloppiness of the declarations she had written. They were inaccurate, poorly organized and chock full of typos. I spent two hours in her office, correcting the mistakes. At one point I told her that two of the witness declarations didn’t even tell the same story, to which she replied «they won’t know.» Uh? I think the judge will notice if there’s two mismatched testimonies. Kind of a big deal. When I took the declaration to the witnesses to sign, they wouldn’t sign them, because even after the two hours I spent in office trying to fix them, they really still sucked. I ended up doing the entire thing over, by myself, after paying her $ 500. But it doesn’t end there!
I also arranged to use the lawyer that her office contracts with, for limited scope representation. I asked her numerous times for the name of the lawyer, and she kept brushing it off without telling me. She was pushy about getting the money to reserve him, and wanted me to bring it immediately. I took her a $ 750 check for the lawyer, and she was annoyed and told me to make the check out to her, and that he only takes cash. (??) I asked her again for the name of the attorney, and she mumbled «Gilbert quinones.» When I asked her to spell it, she said «he’s good, trust me.» She said shed set up an appointment with him, for oct 1, and she’d be in touch. I never heard anything more. By September 29 I tried calling her to ask whether or not shed set up my appt for the lawyer. I never heard back. So I found the attorney and called his office, and left a message asking if they had heard from Marie.
I then finally got a voicemail from Marie telling me NEVER call the lawyer. It took another two days to get back in touch with her, and she told me that the lawyer didn’t want to represent me because of how I dealt with his secretary (I never even spoke to a secretary.) she then told me she’d have to find a different lawyer. I asked how that would be possible, since she was so adamant that I pay 3 weeks in advance and my court date was 2 weeks away. At this point, she says she never wrote down my court date. WTF? So how did she supposedly take my $ 750 to reserve the original lawyer? Horrible, dishonest, lazy. I’m going down there to try getting my money back today.

I had some legal work done here recently. They did a wonderful job for a great price and everything came out awesome! I couldn’t be more happier with my case and I’m surprised there isn’t more reviews on here.
They have a friendly and knowledgeable staff who know what they are doing.
