Rude, Rude, Rude, and weird Owners! I thought long and hard before writing a bad review on this place, because it can adversely affect a business as a whole! As I read through the other 1 star reviews, I saw a pattern to these opinions! Everyone was saying the same thing… The food is just alright, somewhat bland as in Fair at best, but the service was just terrible!!! I had used them before for a taco party, because they came recommended by a friend. The first time, a friendly lady named Guadalupe came to prepare the tacos at our party. She was very accommodation, very nice, and even allowed me to use our own spices, tortillas, and cheese to make quesadillas for the kids. It was a great experience. I give her a 5 Star review! However, the 2nd time round, the actual owner came out, and He was a grumpy from the start! They were late 30 minutes, and when they arrived, the wife actually said they were early! WTF? Regardless, I offered to help carry their equipment into position, and they both snapped by saying No. I then offered to help carry anything else, but had the same reaction. I was just trying to be nice and help speed things up because they were late. Well, the weirdness kept going… I asked for a quesadilla with carne asada, and he said No! SERIOUSLY! I ask why he would say such a thing??? He replied that the meat was for the tacos, not quesadillas, and he didn’t want to run out. I stood in silence for a moment trying not to blow my top at this Stupid answer. I simply replied that the 25 people attending the party would not mind, since they have a 50 person minimum to cater, should have brought enough food, and would take that chance… He then threw the meat in the tortilla, filled it to the brim, and sarcastically asked if I wanted more! Wow, what an A-hole!!! I simply said Thank You, and walked away… Why, because Never act rudely to people who touch or prepare your food! Lol… Even if they are jerks to you. I don’t know if they were having a bad day, in which case they should have acted professionally and kept it to themselves, or if they are like this all the time… Regardless, I would not want him back for any of my functions in the future! I hope they take this review as a learning experience, and send nicer people in their place.

The food is amazing and all of the staff are always super friendly, which makes me want to keep coming back even more. I’ve tried their bionicos, burritos, juices, albondigas… And every single thing has been absolutely delicious. Even though they’re a 20 min drive away I still stop by every now and again because they’re worth it

Great service. Great tasting food. My husband loves the birria and I enjoy the albondigas. I wish the location was bigger so that it could accommodate parties of 6 or more. Other than that no complaints. Love it here.

Me and my boyfriend come here once in awhile after going to a school fundraiser and they had their little stand. Anyways, the first couple of times we’ve gone was at night and we always get the burritos California style… I guess it’s just a regular burrito with fries in it… Sounds weird doesn’t it? Well one of the ladies suggested if we wanted the fries on the side… And we were so happy and said yes!!! She said no problem you can always ask for them on the side… So today my boyfriend went alone for us… He ordered the same thing and asked if they could put the fries on the side… The lady rudely said no… She was a younger lady. Didn’t get her name but she was also one of the lady’s hosting her little stand at the school fundraiser… Anyways, my boyfriend being the kind man that he was just said its okay can you just not put them… She said ok and charged him the California style burrito instead of fixing a regular burrito but no she still charged us for the fries… Wish I would of been there because she is always rude… I guess she only works mornings because she’s never there at night when we go … Next time I do go I’ll make sure to get her name… I don’t what’s worse. Good food and shitty service… Or good service and shitty food??? Lol

I love this place. May be a tiny hole in the wall, but the food is authentic Mexican cuisine. My favorite is the huevos rancheros breakfast.

I came here on a whim looking for mexican breakfast… I tried like 5 different restaurants from Covina to la puente and I pick this place. The girls that work here are great! They are friendly and helped me out a lot with a special order grilled veggie burrito for the old lady. Chorizo and eggs are good, the beans and rice are great, not soggy or clumpy good flavor on the beans. My favorite thing here??? Get the carnitas… It is the BEST! They don’t take a clump and throw it on the flat grill and add oil too it so it tastes like greasy jerky strips or a better description chinese pork sung… It is TENDER, MOIST, and AWESOME! Not dry and clumpy. Man I love pork and this place makes me happy. Great prices, all meat burrito is $ 1 more. Great family joint for sure.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a place that sold authentic Birria de res. Went on Unilocal did some browsing n found Taquisa saw the Birria picture n decided to try it. By far the best Birria I have had in awhile, put some Limon, cebolla y cilantro and it’s perfect.

awesome place to try out AUTHENTICMEXICANFOOD… as I don’t eat beef or pork, I opted for chicken tostada salada and for the price you pay you’re not going to get disappointed for the portion you get. Great Service & Great Price…

They have great albondigas on Wednesday. It comes with tortillas of your choice and a side of rice. This place always hits the spit for quick homemade tasting Mexican food. They can do lot of customizing with your order. I’ve never been disappointed. The soup is not to salty, taste fresh vegetables are vibrant, the way they offer it up with onions and cilantro to garnish is how I’m used to it growing up. They close Sundays so be warned. Its also good for a breakfast burrito. Its a four table place so it’s very small. Food quality is good, fast and efficient. When I’m on the go, and I crave decent Mexican food, I come here.

I was so sick with food poisoning/stomach flu and my man went to this place to bring me home Cosido. It’s Beef Stew and it is so delicious! I also recommend their Albondiga Soup. Wow!

It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either. You can tell they specialize in Mexican food and that’s what’s disappointing. I ordered the wet chile verde burrito and it was big but definitely needed flavor. I also ordered a side of guacamole and I literally got 1oz of it, but it was watery… Use real guacamole people!!! I did pay 8.40 for my meal because I had my own drink. I do regret wasting my money here though.

Came here to try their pastor burrito/tacos… they ran out of pastor :/ Instead me and a friend tried their wet asada burito with 3 asada tacos and 3 fish tacos. The food wasn’t anything special. It wasn’t bad either. It was like… eh. With a whole lotta competition in the area… I’ll rather go to those places instead.

I’m never over on this side of town; which is disappointing because it’s where Taquisa is! A coworker told me about Taquisa and invited me to try it the other day. He was talking about how authentic it is and how the food is good home cooking — just like momma used to make! Being rather unfamiliar with the cuisine I asked him and another coworker for some recommendations and they both suggested Birria(after explaining to me what it is.). Taquisa makes their Birria with beef, instead of goat meat which is also used, and after describing the dish to me I knew it was something I had to try. Five words: Fall off the bone amazing! The meat was so perfect and tender. It was delicious! Taquisa served a healthy portion complete with rice, beans, and corn tortillas. After squeezing some lemon onto the Birria and digging in I fell in LOVE! Customer service was spot on and incredibly friendly. I love the fact that this is a family run place. Taquisa is a bit far for me; but now I know where to go when I’m on that side of town!
