If you absolutely must stay overnight and this is your only option, lower your expectations to no frills then lower them a couple more notches. The only«red carpet» rolled out for you is a friendly check-in when they take your money. It goes downhill from there. House poor is a compliment but at least you get clean bit scratchy sheets, wifi and tv. Grubby is a good word to describe the rest. Complimentary breakfast at the Coxsackie Diner(in the main building) for one person per room puts you in a dining room that hasn’t seen an update since the 60s yet the one guy on duty, who was wearing many hats, put torth a worthy effort and food that was decent enough. A bit of advice for those still on the fence… run, don’t walk awayfrom the Red Carpet Inn.

My bf and I stayed here over memorial day weekend. We were looking for a cheap place to stay since there weren’t any campsites available in the area. The price was right so we gave it a try($ 69). Overall, the place was fine for somewhere to sleep. There were two double beds, a fridge(double plus since we brought beer!), a microwave and decent cable! The place could have used a little more cleaning as I found a mouse turd in the bathroom. We skipped out on the breakfast the following morning so I can’t comment on it. If you’re looking for a cheap place to stay and don’t mind the no-frills attitude, this is your place.

We stopped here late at night on a road trip just for a place to sleep. It was about 1:30am. We were able to get a room. It was 69.99 for a total of 75.00 with tax. The room was fine for the price. 2 double beds and a microwave and fridge. Great if we were not getting up and leaving first thing in the am. Not quite sure if there would be any other reason to stay at this joint. There was a big black hair in the shower. I missed it but my boyfriend spotted it. I am blonde. Kind of gross but it happens. But it was ok for what we needed. A good nights sleep. Also free breakfast in the am at travel place next door. Small but they let us add on sausage and homefries for dirt cheap and it was good. Waitress was very pleasant. If trying to save a buck I would stay. Beats sleeping in the car. More than I expected for the price.
