I have eaten at this place several times and loved the food and service until today. I called to order a meal and asked to purchase additional soup that would make up the difference between a coup of soup and the 8oz that came with the meal. When I asked the receptionist for this, she became incredibly rude to me and began raising her voice and scolding me for asking for the change order. I asked her to ask her manager but her response was again, really nasty. She screamed at me that her manager wasn’t here and asked me if I wanted the meal or not. I just don’t understand why she couldn’t have accommodated me with asking if she could serve the extra soup. It’s just an extra spoonful of soup(that I was fully willing to pay for). At the end of the day this receptionist was incredibly rude and in a pickle just lost a customer over this. If the manager reads this comment. This took place on Wednesday, January 27th at 4:42 pm and it was a female receptionist on the phone. An apology would be appreciated for the disrespectful way I was treated.

Good food! Italian pulled pork is very yummy. BLT was delicious! :) I wish they had more of a selection on chips and drinks like most deli’s but I guess that’s only a minor complaint anyway. People are really nice and food was ready in 15mins which is what they told me.

I ate there recently, while traveling for business. And honestly, the place had an oder of vomit, which I later discovered was caused from the Louisiana BBQ pulled pork, as that is what I ordered, and it not only smelled like vomit, but it mildly tasted like it as well! When I queried the hostess as to what the sauce was, she looked confused and said, barbecue… I have had hundreds of BBQs in my lifetime, and can tell you, if I had to guess what this sauce was made from, I would venture to say ketchup, sour vinegar, and horseradish sauce, now picture that on your sandwich, served as barbecue sauce?! It was AWFUL! The pickle chips were fine, and my partners food looked ok, but, they need the revamp, or REMOVE that pulled pork(so called) Lous. BBQ sandwich!!!

It’s ashame this place has(mostly) decent food because the service is terrible. Very slow. Lunch isn’t fast. And I would venture to say the owners hired their family and best friends to work there because they are not very friendly accurate or efficient. In an area with few places to get food and if you are sick of the same old it’s worth a try. It’s on the expensive side but tasty. Don’t expect a clean bathroom and don’t bother telling them… they don’t care. The sit down part is clean but crowded. The parking lot is rough, tight. Go slow. Working nearby I have been several times now the staff is never impressive. I enjoy the fried pickles. The cheesesteak is pretty good too. The provolone cheese they use on the chicken parm and pulled pork is too sharp. Takes away from the taste of the meat. Their breaded chicken is very sub par so I don’t recommend any sandwich with that like the chicken parm. The chicken quesadilla isn’t good the chicken and the actual shell tastes very dry. The Italian style pulled pork is very good. This place should probably change their menu get new stuff in and get rid of some of the other stuff. I would like a good salad! They had a good deal on groupon or living social.

Solid place, solid wrap, server nice, close to my house, full when I left, and good pickles… People are too picky about restaurants… Shut up and eat

Great place to get fresh food and friendly service! You can sit down or order ahead and take out. My whole family loves this place! We’ve never had anything we didn’t like!

Nice place for lunch. In an area with few choices, we come here 1 or 2 times a week. Sandwiches and soups are really good and consistent but after going thru almost everything in the menu, they could stand to change the menu up a bit once in a while or add some specials. They’ve had fish and chips as a special every day since Lent. Had it 4 times… not that special anymore! :) Pretty regular crowd. Same faces every day. Staff is super super super nice but service can be a little slow at times. Watching the wait staff crash into each other on busy days is part of the entertainment. Highly recommended.

Nice place. Got a sandwich, small soup, and soda. Came to about $ 17.00. A little pricey for me, but that’s just my opinion. Food was OK, just OK. Nothing really stood out to me. Would I eat here again? Yeah probably, not much in the area besides wawa and Wendy’s.

Sigh. I wanted to like this place. I really really did. The pickle bar is disappointing. There are a few options, but nothing special. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, buffalo chicken soup, and two paninis. I ordered on the phone, they said ten-fifteen minutes. After driving there, it was about twenty minutes. I waited an additional ten to fifteen minutes. The pulled pork sandwich was mediocre. Way too much tangy sauce– the pork was a radiant red. The paninis were average. The buffalo chicken soup was a huge let down. It was watery with no buffalo flavor at all. Not to mention the veggies in it were still hard. I had to make my own the next week for redemption on my stomach. I thought it was kind of steep in price too. However, the general atmosphere and the staff was really nice.

The soups are FANTASTIC. My favorite is the chicken(or chicken and sausage) portofino. A great comforting tomato based soup with chicken, pasta, and some veggies. Very yummy. I’ve always ordered take out, since I live about a 5 minute walk away from the place, so I’m not sure about the service, but what I do know, is that I could order soup from this place multiple times per week and keep wanting more. It’s a great local spot with homemade delicious food and friendly staff.

In a Pickle is a go to for a great lunch. Their buffalo chicken soup is amazing and just the right amount of spicy flavor. I had the pulled pork sandwich during my last visit and it was so delicious my boyfriend couldn’t resist stealing the other half! The pickle bar is cute and fun, just like the décor. The staff and owner are friendly as well. Overall, it’s a nice locally owned place.

What, What, What… A bad A$$ deli in West Deptford. People, it’s real turkey not deli slices, all homemade in house. House brine corn-beef, fresh roles, homemade soup. I got the homemade Italian pulled pork with sharp provolone, and it was banging… Down falls, sammy’s are not that big, and the location is tucked away in a shanty strip mall. Staff is awesome, personable, and accommodating. Its near Riverwinds golf course. Highly recommended. Family owned + Homemade food = Repeat costumers like myself.

Really good service and food. Great sandwiches with a pickle bar. Generous portions. Soups sound great. May be next time. Had a great sandwich on sour dough bread and it was excellent. Even the wife bragged about her BLT. Excellent fries and drinks that are like a half gallon. Only complaint is that it’s not closer to home. Some traditional items like corn beef and pastrami would be great but otherwise a great spot for a good sandwich or soup. We’ll be back.

Great lunch spot. We had the crab soup was it was very good. The server worked really hard, but it seemed that they were short on staff. Our Triple P sandwich took a while to come out, but it was great. The bread was the highlight. The pickle bar is great, we totally eat a bunch of pickled peppers, dill pickle and regular pickles. Just one thing, that is my personal pet peeve, why stairofoam cups? They are bad for you( ) and bad for the environment( ).

Cute place for quick lunch. The pickle bar is a fun idea. The sandwiches can be a little on the pricey side, $ 7+ is a little expensive for a Panini. Also, more vegetarian options would be a nice addition. Everything is fresh and the servers are very friendly.

We tried this place because of all the positive Unilocal reviews. We don’t live too far from here so I was surprised that I never heard of it before. But anyways, we went in last week. There are a few things that I really like about this place and a few things I think that they could improve on, hence the middle of the road review. The good things: It took awhile for the food to come out, so I know that must mean that they’re cooking things to order. I ordered the Chicken and ham paninni. I like the fact that they used real sliced ham and real chicken pieces and not lunchmeat. What threw me off a bit is that the chicken had that refrigerator taste, like when it sits in there just a day or two too long. I love that they’re trying to make better sandwiches though. The place itself was really clean. The not-so good things: The servers were a bit on the unattentive side and a reminded me of Flo from the show Alice. Also, they have what they call a pickle bar. It was a tiny, round, mock pickle barrel that had 2 kinds of pickles varieties, one type of banana pepper and a roasted pepper to chose from. When I think of pickle bars, I think pickles galore. More than 5 different types of pickles, peppers, sauerkraut, etc. At least that’s what I’ve had in the past at NYC delis, so I was disappointed. I think this place has a lot of potential, I just think they have a few things to work on to up their game.

In a Pickle has a cozy, unique atmosphere(once you see their décor you’ll understand). For those who enjoy pickles, their pickle bar is a nice touch. Overall, their sandwiches are good and they seem to abide by an oft-overlooked principle in the food industry: K.I.S.S.(Keep It Simple, Stupid). They don’t try to be something they’re not; in other words, they stick to being a solid sandwich shop with simple selections, yet also have a nice variety to choose from. My two issues are: their rolls can be too thick and disproportional to the contents of the sandwich, which can overwhelm not only the taste of the ingredients with bread but also makes you fill up faster than you’d like; and none of their buffalo chicken selections are any good. I don’t know why they insist on using such a tame-flavored, almost barbecue sauce-like texture for their buffalo chicken sauce. I recommend avoiding the buff-chick meals.

OK, so I’m in this little town with hardly a spot to eat after 8PM, and I bring up Unilocal reviews for the couple of possibilities. This place comes up with about a 4.5 and some nice reviews. So, Nick and I decide to give it a shot. Walked into a deserted place, not a sole(they close at 9PM, we got there at 8). The waitress was very friendly, but as she was new did not know a lot about each sandwich. To start, I asked if they would be willing to give me a mix of traditional and jalepeno deep fried pickles, not just one or the other. They said not a problem. OMG, they were fabulous with the ranch dipping sauce. So, Nick ordered the Italian Pulled Pork and I tried to order the Shrimp and Crab Cake Sandwich, which they were out of, so instead ordered the Sausage with Fried Onions and Peppers. So great to find a place that actually takes their product serious. The bread was perfect. Fresh lightly toasted hoagy, DEEEElicious. The sausage was sliced lengthwise before being put in the bun, which makes it so much easier to eat. The onions and peppers were done perfectly. They have a pickle bar, and let’s just say of you like pickles, and who doesn’t, you will love it. Sweet, Bread n Butter, Hot, Garlic Dill and more. I was so thrilled to find a place, especially a small sandwich shop, that gets it. Go here for sure.
