We stopped for a sandwich and drinks. First I order a chai tea latte, out of chai. I ordered the chicken salad, out of tomatoes. My husband ordered a house coffee, got French roast and wrong size because no one was listening. Yeah, it might be a while before we grace the doors of this one.

We always stop here before going to Target to do our weekly grocery shopping. On a weekend lines were a little faster. They take and prepare your order really fast. We loved their Campfire mocha and Dark chocolate cooler. We always go for the drive-thru. This is probably one of the 1st coffee house options that we have on the west end aside from the one that they have by Valley West Mall. We get slow service every time it was the guys with the blonde curly hair takes care of our order. I know it was odd, but it only happens when he is there. Anyway, it doesn’t really matter since we don’t go inside and don’t have to deal with him the whole time. We’re definitely going to come back here!!!

Great place to work and study. Decent coffee if you get the right barista. I’ve been going on Sunday’s and the older male barista who made my crafted press made it so it had this gritty substance in it. On another day this woman made it way to sweet. As far as coffee goes, I’d rather stick to Starbucks if you’re not going local. However, it is in a nice location and there’s ways place to work!

Went here to grab a coffee while getting our hair done in the same complex and was completely ignored for 10 minutes while the barista refilled the crafts while her co-worker managed the drive-in. Once we ordered it was another 10 – 15 minutes to get TWO iced drinks one of which was iced coffee. The barista working the front was rude, talking under her breath and was made faces after my friend asked her if she said her name, which I’m still not sure was directed at us or her co-worker but was totally unprofessional. If you are on a schedule I would avoid.

Awesome place to grab a coffee and chill for half an hour. Everyone is super friendly and they seem to enjoy what they do. They’ll make an effort to chit chat and feel like a friend and not so much a patron. Love coming here!

I have never written a coffee shop review — but the level incompetence at this place deserves one. On Saturday afternoon, with THREE people working, the average wait time in the drive through was about ten minutes, and at least that long waiting inside. The barista I talked to was rude, didn’t smile once, and interrupted me when I asked a simple question. No one apologized for the wait time or even acknowledged customers’ presence. Last time I was there, two baristas complained about the dumb scheduling and how overworked they were, both TO customers and within earshot of them. I understand stress and an overwhelming amount of customers, but professionalism is REALLY lacking in this location.

Always great experience! I’m a regular and they know me by voice in drive through. Quick service and always nice. Great people!

Freaking love this store!!! and I am now pleased to say I have one where I lived. I love this part of Des Moines, and when I stopped here once many years ago, I found how much I enjoy Caribou Coffee. Way better than Starschmucks. The music isn’t loud either, but very subtle.

For a chain coffee shop, Caribou is at the top of my list. It’s way cozier than Starbucks(think log cabbiny with wood, brick, and fireplaces). They have the normal slew of drink options, plus light versions of most things. Their coffee is definitely better than most generic coffee shops. My favorite is Starlight if you like light roasts. If you like fancy sweet drinks, consider trying a mocha with a pump of hazlenut… tastes just like nutella! They also have free refills on coffee or iced tea if you stay in the coffee shop. can’t beat that! Plus if you answer their daily trivia question right or bring in your own mug you get 10 cents off :) Awkward location, but it’s never super busy.

I’ve driven by this place countless times, and then the one time I actually make this my target destination I can’t find it! It’s in that awkward shopping center right off 80. Parking is aplenty; there’s a drive thru too. This location is less cozy than the one on Ingersoll, but I liked all the light and open seating! No awkward hovering around waiting for a place to sit, awesome! And the cashier kid that helped me was nice; I was fumbling around trying to find my birthday email and he said, «It’s cool, I trust you.» Honeslty I miss Peet’s coffee like you wouldn’t believe, but this will suffice in the meantime. I will most likely re-visit before my time in DSM is up.

This place is a chain, so don’t expect anything impressionable. The atmosphere is the best part, very brick-y, fireplaces, just very cozy. Love this place in the winter. Service is alright. Cashiers are usually in a hurry, but what do you expect. . It’s right down the street from my work so sometimes I go there to finish up a project, no one bothers you and the streets are a nice mini-distraction. Coffee is good, nothing spectacular. Though I have to say, the iced coffee sucks. Avoid or go somewhere else. It’s too watery. Monday’s are medium coffee for a dollar! Overall, nice place to grab a cup.

Albeit a dreaded chain, Caribou is a much preferred morning coffee stop to oh, let’s say, any other chain, like, say, Starbucks Offering completely decadent concoctions that will set you back thousands of calories, I like to treat myself to Caribou for special events… like business travel * It’s common knowledge that all sugar & fat consumed while on business travel does not count… everyone knows this… everyone Tried the Turtle Mocha(extra shot required) & have to say wasn’t a fan of the Snickers bits in the drinky… coffee should not be chewy Next day tried the regular Mocha(extra shot required). I liked how they provide *real* Milk, White or Dark GUITTARD chocolate in their mochas… but since I’m me, I asked if it was possible to get all 3 chocolates & they said why sure — I heart you! Little chocolate-covered coffee bean sitting on top of your lid as an extra, extra bonus & if that weren’t good enough, they even have a drive-thru. I’m extra luving this place Also saw on the menu board that they offer«Lite options»…not really sure what that means exactly since they use REAL chocolate but I can now tell myself that the 12,000 calorie mocha I just ordered is actually drinkable… do I believe myself? When it comes to Caribou deliciousness, heck yeah!

«Cariboooooouuuuuuu» — the Pixies This is a warm and cozy Caribou Coffee store with friendly employees. I ordered an Obsidian drip coffee that was unlike a Seattle chain in that it didn’t taste burnt. Would recommend this Caribou to anyone in the area looking for a coffee fix. The first time I ever had Caribou was in the Minneapolis airport over fifteen years ago. I thought I was going to do jumping-jacks in the plane.
