I’m not a cigar smoker or a golfer. I do however purchase my father $ 20 worth of cigars for Christmas each year. The Pars and Cigars staff were really helpful and I know that $ 20 isn’t a big purchase. Lacking was the pretentiousness that the cigar shop on Ingersoll Avenue had. The staff asked what my dad like to smoke and really took the time to help me. My small purchase was put in a zipper bag with matches. Much appreciated Pars and Cigars! CHANCEOFRETURN: 9⁄10

The worst cigar shop I have ever stumbled upon. I received the worst customer service, and the lack of care and knowledge of the cigars they carried. In a good cigar lounge nobody is allowed to smoke in the humidor. This lounge and humidor are one in the same leaving the cigars ruined. Every cigar has a nasty film from unfiltered/non purified water as the humidify info agent. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If you’re up for the drive there is an amazing shop with a little less of a selection closer to downtown with a cigar club and separate lounge.

Pars isn’t the most fancy cigar lounge in the Metro… but they certainly have the largest inventory and selection of premium handmade cigars in the State of Iowa. The sticks are about typical of what you pay in a B&M with a lounge. You can purchase a cigar and smoke it in their lounge which has a handful of leather chairs and a flat screen tv. Make sure you leave you coat in the car… as the ventilation isn’t the greatest and you will walk out smelling like a dirty, stinky, ashtray. That being said, I enjoy stopping in on occasion for a smoke and visit with friends.
