Went here again the other day thought I would give them another chance. Nope they’re still rude still lazy and they don’t want to help people. Won’t go there again I will shop online if my stores close to home don’t have what I need.

This place is the epitome of quilt/fabric store for me. I’ve been coming here since I was a lil baby thanks to my mom, the quilter. It’s small and lacks the inventory of a place like Jo Ann or Hancock Fabrics, but the staff really is great and always has been. They do a lot of parties and workshops also. If you’re in for a stop at a cute lil quilt shop, here’s your place!

The final leg of our vacation was to drive 80 all the way across Iowa. You might think, yikes, lots of driving. I think, yay, lots of opportunities to do quilty things. I happen to have an app on my husband’s iPad which finds quilt stores wherever you are. I know, you are completely jealous. Don’t be, you can get it also! We used the app to find this cute store! We popped off the highway near Des Moines and only because I read the address wrong did we have any trouble finding the place. It was chock full of good stuff with a friendly, helpful woman who worked there. When I do these kinds of visit the quilt store while traveling visits I have to focus! Normally I would like to wander about, roll in the fabrics and drool. I found 3 different fabrics that I couldn’t live without and got back in the car. Sadly, I had to say good bye to the Quilt Block probably forever. Hey wait, maybe not, 80 goes east and west, I might be back some day! Those of you in the area, enjoy this great shop and all the other quilty fun in Iowa.
