Being from NY and used to good pizza this place rocks! Pizza was spot on and chicken parm was outstanding. Just keep in mind the pizza was a little small, we could have had ordered a second because no one expected it to be so good! Glad we found this new place!

Absolutely horrible pizza. Granted it was Columbus Day weekend and this place was overwhelmed, is still no excuse for providing a cold pizza that tasted like a reheated supermarket bought pie of the worst kind. A full hour wait resulted in a terrible meal and we would have been better off buying sandwiches at the 7 – 11 up the street. Avoid this place masquerading as a brick oven pizzeria.

The menu has expanded to include burgers as well as brick oven pizza and grinders. Can get busy on the weekends especially during ski season. Probably the best pizza in town.

We order 2 Pizzas that were burnt on the bottom and un-edible. I called to let them know, and the owner Leo or Leon actually hung up on me! Really? is this how you do business and treat the local people who are asked to recommend a place to eat? I can’t believe you are even still in business!

Yum! I returned here at the start of 2015 since I enjoyed it last time with my husband. This still isn’t your typical fancy pants brick oven with a dash of hipster pizza but I’m totally a Jersey girl and I really enjoyed their pesto pizza with crumbled sausage. They don’t deliver, but they do offer half price deals at certain times(call ahead to confirm). On a side note, I swear their jalapeño poppers were also the

West Dover, VT is no NYC and therefore I understand pizza options are limited, however this pizza was pretty bad. Visiting New Year’s weekend and on a Saturday night we were quoted about 2.5 hours for a pick up order of 3 pizzas and two salads. Say what? We obliged, but for reals? The pizza that we received was mediocre at best, really not worth it. I’d say it got the job done, but it really didn’t. This was cafeteria style pizza and although it wasn’t super expensive, nothing about the pizza was good. It was that pizza with cardboard crust and one layer that is tomato sauce and cheese. Like if you started to pick the cheese off, the whole thing slides off, tomato sauce and all. My guy declined pizza and ordered up the salad Toscanella and said it was delicious filled with grilled chicken, candied walnuts and apples. It was also pretty reasonably priced. So, there’s always that! Overall, if you’re pining for pizza while skiing at Mt. Snow, this by far can’t be your best option, but it is what it is.

Overall this place is just ok. The pizza was hot and had a good sauce to cheese ratio, but was very bland. The fried raviolis were a little on the over cooked side and were very dry. The same was also true for the cheesy garlic bread. The food does the job, but wouldn’t be my first choice. They had a fun assortment of drinks though.

Upon entering the restaurant, I was truly baffled by the atmosphere. An arrangement of bizarre«antiques» amongst other items were being sold. Not to mention the confusing bathroom sign. This sign pointed in two directions. The food was disappointing at best. This pizza belongs more at a carnival, or at a supermarket. The sausage appears to be manufactured. The 6 – 8 pieces of onion on the pizza were hard to find or taste. Also, since when is it acceptable to place onion powder in what should be the salt shaker? Refer to the picture below. On the up side, the napkins were plentiful and the pizza arrived quickly. Highlight-Bottomless cups of fountain drinks.

Smells great when you first walk in, but the pizza is a warm doughy mess and very bland. Service is slow. Expect paper plates and utensils even when dining in. The wine is comparable to what you’d get in a economy class airplane.

Terrific wood fired pizza with tons of topping choices. Tuesday is half price night! The staff is super friendly, the location is easily accessible, and the prices and very reasonable.

I recognize that I am from CT and I accustomed to speed but my experience here was just out of norm in general. We ordered 2 pizzas for pick up and they told us the wait would be an hour(btw, in CT your pizza is ready for pick up in 20 – 30 minutes). Fine. So we go an hour later to pick up our pizzas. Here’s how things went down: 1) they didn’t write our name down right(John, not hard) 2) they finally found the order and said it would be ready in a few minutes(cashier is just chatting it up with the other workers, all of which are doing everything at snails pace) 3) I then see her give the order to someone making pizzas… they hadn’t even started making it(this place is small and doesn’t look too busy that is NO excuse) 4) finally, after waiting 35 – 40 minutes we have our two pizzas 5) get back and we notice one of the pizzas, the one that wasn’t plain pizza, was plain when we ordered with toppings. At nearly 2 hours, you would hope you would have the order correct. Get your act together, you’re lucky there is no where to go in this area but this service is TERRIBLE. You are also lucky that we didn’t go Tri-State Angry on you guys. If all of the above didn’t happen I would give a good review, as your pizza is fine but, service matters and I just can’t give you any more than a star.

If only I can give this place ZEROSTARS… We attempted to call our food order in ahead of time like any smartly ran restaurant would welcome, and every time, an answering machine picked up saying they were«too busy to answer the phone» and to «leave a message»!!! How about hiring someone specifically for the purpose of taking phone orders!!! Hello? Leave a message? For what? What a joke… Arguably the busiest weekend of the year… New Years Weekend at a very very busy ski resort nonetheless, and they don’t take to-go orders over the phone? So we drove there, only to wait in line for 10 minuets while six kids in front of us attempted to place an order, and the teenage girl taking their order couldn’t expedite, and had trouble with the credit card terminal… I finally had enough and asked the owner why they don’t accept phone orders… His answer, «we’re too busy to answer the phone… You should have left a message» he tells me… I should have left a message!!! I then say, «how about hiring someone just to answer the phone like a real restaurant would; common sense, or are you just too cheap to pay another 15 year old to answer phones??? He then says to me… «If you don’t like it, you can leave», so we did, but not before The owner and I exchanged more unpleasantries to put it mildly. We then went to West Dover Joe’s where had an EXCELLENT meal… now this is how you run a business… Take notes Mr. Cheap skate, brain-dead schmuck! Now, West Dover Joe’s will be a regular stop for us where they’ll get my money all day long… As for La Toscanella’s… Don’t waste your time… On top of it all, the place is a REALDUMP, and poorly owned and operated by a real cheap skate! For a second, I thought I was online at the DMV… If only there were a Domino’s up here… I would order from them first… At least THEY take phone orders! I give this place another 6 months before a «For Sale» sign goes in the window… Adiós —hole

It seems like a very stupid decision to be closed on Sunday. You are across the street from a major ski area, and you are closed on the weekend???

Stopped in for a quick lunch. The pizza was excellent– almost as good as the pizza I remember growing up in NJ! And there was a deal, too.

My boyfriend and I went in for lunch today and split a large La Toscanella pizza with extra sauce and sausage on it. I am a die-hard pizza connoisseur and I have to say that this place fulfills everything that an Italian pizza lover could wish for! It was absolutely delicious! The crust was clearly home-made and it sang of the best Italian pizza parlors of New York. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if I found out that the owner had once owned and run a popular New York spot. Now not to start rumors, it doesn’t matter where this pizza found it’s start, West Dover is lucky to have such amazing pizza and I am finding that I may have to invent reasons to travel out to my realtors office(which is next door) just to indulge in another of these culinary masterpieces! Bravo Pizzeria La Toscanella!

This place came through for our large group. Placed a large order for pick up and after finally getting through on the phone, everything we got, pizza, heroes, garlic bread, baked ziti was good. If your calling on a saturday night, leave time to order, it was 90 minutes before our order was ready and that was for pickup, who knows for delivery. We called early and it was worth it as we ordered a ton of food and it was all gone.

I’ve been up to Mount Snow several times these passed years to snowboard and I’ve tried several restaurants in the area. Pizzeria La Toscanella is probably my favorite one in the area. After a hard day of riding, I always prefer something savory and comforting for dinner. The pasta dishes here really hit the spot. Just to be clear, I have only picked up food from this place and have never dined in. The dish I always get is the Toscanella Trio. This dish has meatballs, chicken parmesan and eggplant rollatini all served over fettucine with marinara sauce. This dish comes with a salad and we also get an order of garlic bread for a starter. The garlic bread is always perfect, but the same cannot be said of the trio. The meatballs and eggplant rollatini are always good, but sometimes the chicken parmesan may come out a little dry and the fettuccine may also be overcooked and slightly on the mushy side. Despite the inconsistency, the overall experience at Pizzeria La Toscanella is always positive. Pizzeria La Toscanella is a fine establishment that offers good food at affordable prices. I have yet to try their brick oven pizza, but if the rest of the menu is any indication then it should also be pretty good. Since I have found this place, it is my go to place whenever I am in the area. Be sure to check it out if you are ever in the area.
