I looked online originally to replace two tires on my back-up vehicle for work, which is an old 2002 Nissan Altima– I went in to this NTB because it isn’t too far from my house and explained that I just wanted to replace the front two tires on the car to a gentleman named Justin. Justin walked outside, took a look at the car, came back– and told me(after I had picked out the two tires) that they would get it in and get it done and give me a call. I was given the total which came out to about 196 $(picked out very basic tires as the car is pretty old and might not last long) — Long story short I get a call not even an hour later and Justin tells me that he can’t do the work unless I agree to let him put a missing lug nut and lug bolt on one of the tires because it’s their policy that the tire has to have all of the parts in order to do the work(ok I get that) — so I ask him«what is that going to be like another $ 40 dollars?!» «To which he replied«yes– plus an hour of labor because it takes an hour to replace»(which I came to find is complete BS after talking to someone at discount tire) Obviously at that point I’m annoyed and even continued to debate whether or not to just remove the tires from the car and save myself the headache with both Justin on the phone AND my boyfriend standing next to me– ultimately I end up saying«go ahead» thinking it’s only $ 40 bucks and to go home and now remove the tires is pointless so whatever. I go to pick up the car the next day and sure enough when I get the bill it says $ 324 is owed for two $ 3 parts and labor. I was obviously infuriated because I would have never agreed to paying an extra $ 120 for them to replace what was missing when I could have avoided it entirely by removing the tires from the car– that took them EXACTLY2 minutes to do — and let’s not mention two basic crappy tires are now costing me $ 300+ dollars to put on — They totally took advantage of me and after talking to Discount tires and then seeing for myself how easy it was to do I can not believe Justin had the balls to rip me off(probably because I’m a female and he saw an opportunity to screw me over) as significantly as he did. The only thing I can say in his defense is after watching my face turn bright red and explaining to him that I would have never agreed to this, he scrapped the fee to dispose of the old tires(big deal) but by then the damage was done. I will never go here or any other NTB again for anything– not even a freaking air freshener tree– thank god I didn’t bring my Mercedes there to get the tires replaced or I would have probably lost a couple mortgage payments– I’m going to call the BBB and likely complain on every possible forum available and to whoever will listen. Worst experience ever.

I have had my car here twice within the last week and a half for new tires, and initially I had wanted to give them a good rating because of their customer service and pricing, but after reviewing my invoices I can’t justify that. Ironically, it was something that the cashier himself pointed out that tipped me off to the issue. Two weekends ago I had my 2007 Jeep Liberty Sport towed to this location as the back driver side tire was completely flat. Over the past few months I have had probably a dozen instances of low tire pressure in this tire, coming to find out it was caused by a nail that had been wedged in there, and had kept putting off fixing it and just kept refilling it. I went to leave the house last Sunday morning to go in the garage and find that the tire was almost completely flat. I had bought a tire repair kit and went to work, but the nail had been so deeply embedded I wasn’t able to fix it and instead made the situation worse. The tire was now completely flat, and so I backed it out of the driveway so the tow truck could get to it more easily. The all 4 tires were long overdue to be replaced, and rather than mess with the spare to get it to the location it was just easier at that point in the day to have it towed there and pick it up when it was done. For being within 2 hours of closing time on a Sunday, they had my car done extremely fast and when I went to pick it up the price seemed correct in my head(2 rear tires + installation + the plethora of fees the state of Illinois tacks on) so I paid the bill and headed home. A few days later after realizing how much nicer the car drove with the new back tires, I decided to have the front two replaced as well. I went online and made an appointment to drop it off the coming Saturday morning. When I dropped the car off again the staff was very friendly, and this time he printed out the ‘pre’ invoice for me to sign and review, which didn’t happen the first time as I had it towed there and did not go with the car. He briefly went over the charges listed and focused more so on one in particular — the TPMS Sensor Kit. He claimed that my Jeep had been made around the time where the tire pressure sensors were becoming standard, he wasn’t sure if my specific car had it or not, and that the only way they could tell was when they had the tires off. He said that some people insist they don’t have them and make them remove the charge, and that if you do in fact have the sensors and don’t allow them to replace them there is a good chance the tires will leak. I told him that I was pretty positive that I didn’t have the sensors, as I had numerous instances with low tire pressure in that tire over the past few months and never once has there been any signal from any monitoring system, and that even the previous weekend when the tire was completely flat resting on the rim no tire pressure light never went on.(After inspecting my instrument panel carefully, I’m pretty positive there is no spot for a TPMS light.) Furthermore, prior to this car I owned a 2008 Chevy Cobalt that did have the TPMS Sensors as any time the tires fell more than 5 psi below the recommended inflation the light popped on so I was very familiar with the system. He told me that he would remove the charge if I didn’t have them, but that ‘it’s only like $ 15 for both of them so it’s not that expensive.’ I took his word that they would take the charge off if I didn’t in fact have them, signed the paperwork(stupidly not memorizing the total) and left. Again they had the job done very quickly, this time more impressive as it was a busy Saturday morning, and I went back to pick up the car. He said the total and it sounded like it matched what I had paid the weekend before, so I paid and was given my printout of the final invoice and left. Once I got home I looked over the invoice and noticed that the charge for the TPMS Service Kit was still on there, at $ 7.99/each for a total of $ 15.98 and was included in the final invoice price. I looked back at the invoice the week before and the same charges were present on that one also. So at this point I have been charged $ 32 to replace sensors that I don’t even have. I’ve emailed their customer service department about the situation, and if they respond and offer a solution I will update the review as I had wanted to give them a good rating based on their friendly atmosphere and speed of service. As a bit of an afterthought, I’m also disappointed that I wasn’t informed the tires I was having installed had a ‘Buy One Get One 50% with Instillation’ rebate promotion going on at either one of my visits. I only discovered this myself when going online to make the appointment for my second visit. The other promotion they had going on(which was advertised in conjunction with this one online) was clearly advertised behind the counter, so it’s just surprising that nothing had been mentioned at all about the rebate being offered.

We came here wondering if the car just needed a headlight — low beam bulb change or not. He found car specifics and said he didn’t have any bulbs for that make. He said across the street — there is Adv Auto Parts, you can go check there. Then we asked him a couple of more things, he was like hold on let me call and check with them before you go, which was sweet. Parts were there, he gave us a decent price for fixing it and it was done quicker than what was initially told.

I just bought another tire from this place yesterday. Great Customer service that is all I have to say! Not to sure what the other people were talking about? I drop off my car off in the morning and they had it ready by the time they promised. Also best price around.

My company car was due for an oil change and I took advantage of NTB’s online promotion saving my company $ 20.00 from what Jiffy Lube would charge. While the thought was nice, never again. Total time from drop-off with an online appointment to work completed(90 minutes). My tires were brand new therefore, the car did not require a tire rotation so 90 mins to empty and fill engine with 6 quarts of oil. I’m now ready to depart and notice that the previous Jiffy Lube reminder sticker is still on the windshield. I walk back in and ask if they can add there’s. Another 10 minutes goes by and this time I’m told they cannot find the reminder stickers. WOW.

I should have looked at reviews before sending my wife to get a oil change here. Check out reviews on G+ as well. They killed the cars battery just so they can try to scam and have her buy a new battery since they saw it was still factory original. Now I need to check over the entire vehicle since I cant trust the work. Should of done the oil change myself… Stay AWAY from this NTB
