You can’t really rate a fairground, just the events that are there. Yes, the facilities can affect said events, but it’s really up to them how they use them and whether it’s enjoyable. That being said, every event I’ve been to at HoCo has been fun. County fairs, gun shows, sheep & wool festivals, etc. Never had a problem parking, never had a problem with the facilities, and it’s everything I’d expect from a rural county fairground.

I come to the fair year every year and have been to a few other events at the location. I think this review is just of the location so I will keep the fair opinions separate. It’s located not too far off of I70 so its easy to find. There is ample parking for most events though for some of the larger events you may have to park across the street at the Farm Museum and walk over. There are two entrances but they can get congested when a events end. The parking area is all grass so be aware if you ride a motorcycle out there. They have adequate restrooms with running water so you wont have worry about using port o pottys.

I’ve been coming to the HoCo fair since i was little and i always have a good time. The food is good, they have good bands, and the animals are always good to see! I only wish they had more rides :(
