We used to come here frequently. The food was good and the prices fair. A series of price increases have brought the cost of a bar brand martini to $ 10.95! Several«healthy choices» on the menu have been abandoned. The waitstaff is friendly and efficient.

Was here recently for a family dinner. Food was decent and the dining room atmosphere was conducive to conversation(no blaring music) which was wonderful. You can’t fault the view either. What was a disappointment was the pasta with broccoli rabe, sausage and sun dried tomatoes. There was little if any broccoli rabe in the dish. There was broccoli and what may have been a bit of spinach that they were trying to pass off as broccoli rabe. The kitchen may have been out of the broccoli rabe but they should have said so. Truth in menu and up front disclosures is the best approach.

I came here after the driving range for a quick lunch. My boyfriend and I split a grilled chicken sandwich which came with chips. The grilled chicken sandwich was great. I loved the eggplant that it came with. We sat outside and ordered at the bar. Our waitress didn’t check on us once. Maybe because we ordered and paid at the bar before we even sat down. That’s the only reason why it got 3 stars and not more. The food is delicious.

Pretty good food, very friendly and professional service, the dark haired server is especially pleasant, and if you visit in the spring or summer, you can eat outside on the deck overlooking the golf course. I usually get the NY Strip, it’s a perfectly cooked steak, but I’ve also had the turkey sandwich, served on hearty bread and topped with some cranberry mayonnaise. I did have two bad meals here. I tried a breaded scallops dish, and the scallops had so much breading that I choked few times while eating it because all of the stray bread crumbs flew down my throat. And the black forest sandwich which was roast beef and cole slaw on rye. The meat was tough and chewy. This place is hit and miss.

Returned in August of 2014 and we were very pleasantly surprised. I’m sorry I can’t remember what we had, but it was good and the atmosphere on the deck was very nice.

Had a surprisingly good, post-18 meal at Angelo’s! I liked sitting in the bar area and being able to watch golf after finishing up on a Sunday afternoon. The waitstaff is friendly, and if you get the chance you can sit on the beautiful patio that overlooks the course. When the food came(we just did apps) i was completely suprised at the size and quality of the quesadillas. We had both chicken and steak and they were stuffed with meat, cheese, and fresh peppers/onion. Served with sour cream. They were really so big that they were a meal in themselves. We also got their wings… nothing crazy, but solid! Sangira was refreshing after an afternoon on the course and wasnt too sweet. Give it a try for bar food, snacks, and beers after you play!

I wished I lived closer. I happened to be in Connecticut and stopped here for dinner. Fantastic! The food is delicious and the service out of this world: can’t be treated any better.

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Angelo’s on Main(which is part of the Rockledge Golf Course) as part of a lunch event and had a very pleasant experience from the time I sat down until my last drop of coffee.
The staff was great, making sure each member of our party had everything they needed. They did not hover and were discreet with keeping our tables clean and clear throughout our meal. The meal was served buffet style and the food was better then which one might typically eat at your standard wedding buffet. The menu included steamed vegetables, chicken Marsala, a white fish(cod?) in a light butter sauce, pasta with marinara sauce as well as a selection of rolls and a salad. For a crowd of 35 people — they did a good job of keeping the food hot, as well serving chicken that was not dry and rubbery(which is always a crap shoot when eating buffet style) and steamed vegetables that still had a bite to it by the time I made my way through the line. I should have passed on the pasta with marinara sauce which was flavorless and required more then its fair share of Parmesan cheese and the salad that was drowning in some type of Italian dressing. We were also served dessert, but I was so full that I did not try the vanilla fudge ice cream roll dusted with cocoa power. All in all a pleasant experience and I would definitely like to come back to try the items on their regular menu. I hope to soon, as Mark is a member of Rockledge Golf Course and I would gladly be his caddy for a free meal :)

Angelo’s on Main is the first restaurant we think of when we decide to go out to eat. We are always greeted happily when we enter the establishment and have never had anything but fast and friendly service. Tonight I decided to have the Roast Pork Loin. The demi-glacé wine sauce that was on it was wonderful without overpowering the meat. The pork itself was so tender it melted in your mouth like an expensive prime rib. The steamed vegetables were prepared so that they were not steamed to death and mushy and were very vibrant in color. Cheescake was the dessert and this is made from scratch at the restaurant. Tonight’s was a raspberry swirl with a graham cracker crust that puts the Cheescake Factory’s offerings to shame. The only downside to this trip was that it was after dark and we missed out on the wonderful view over the golf course. Go to Angelo’s on Main and you will not be sorry. The people posting negative reviews of this restaurant must not have been at the same place I am writing about.

I always have a very positive experience at this restaurant. Not only to I appreciate the nice view but free parking seems to be a thing of the past anywhere else in West Hartford! My friend and I go on a more and more frequent basis and always have a couple of drinks, whether it be from their wine or martini list and sometime eat dinner or just an appetizer. In my experience the service is always very friendly and accommodating. They have often modified food order to my specifications. They also always greet us with a smile and seem to recognize many of the guests that frequent the place. There definitely seems to be many regulars there. The food is always good and fresh, specials are offered daily, varying by the season. I hope to further explore the menu in the future.

We have been going to Angelo’s for years, both for dinner and special events(such as shows!). We have always had stellar service from all of the staff, who are kind enough to modify my dinners to accommodate my allergies :) The food is delicious, especially the gnocchi, which is a family favorite! I have always recommended this place to my friends and will continue to do so! :) You guys rock!!!

I came here for an event two or three weeks ago and it was a really nice time. The event was in the evening and we arrived just as the sun was starting to set which made for some gorgeous pictures outside on the deck that overlooks the Rockledge Golf Course and the Farmington River Valley. The setting is really what made this place stand out. Once inside we noticed white tablecloths and centerpieces on all the tables. It looked quite elegant. The event lasted three to four hours and included a buffet dinner. On the buffet menu there were rolls, salad, pasta with a tomato sauce, chicken parm, and steamed veggies that had broccoli and carrots. Dessert was a beautifully presented ice cream roll with cocoa dusted on the sides and served with a dollop of whipped cream. Coffee was served with dessert. The food was actually a little better than ok, but I had a pomegranate martini that I was not a fan of and tasted strong. Not like they gave me my money’s worth of vodka but instead like it was made with a cheaper vodka. I took two sips and had to move on. The staff were great and were attentive without hovering. They accommodated a large group very well. All in all, our group had a good time at Angelo’s that night.

TERRIBLESERVICE! The wait staff is not only rude, they are spiteful! We had a group of professionals at a golf tournament and we all got together for happy hour at the restaurant afterwards-big mistake! The food was greasy and not impressive but the staff really sealed the deal making this a NEVERAGAIN location in general. The waitresses would rudely scold people from across the room to not sit at a reserved table and tell us that we couldn’t sit in certain areas if we were not eating. I understand this but have some tact and courtesy to walk around and politely let them know. RACISM also came into play as a member of the team was blatantly ignored while waiting at the bar. After 15 – 20 minutes when 2 other golfers came in she looked past the team member to ask the newcomers if they would like anything. While waiting for the bill an 18% gratuity was added to the bill as we were considered a large party although not everyone ate, some were at the bar and the service was atrocious! It took 20 minutes to recalculate our bill without the undeserved gratuity and the waitress literally slammed the check down without saying or looking at anyone. She was asked to split the check in advanced and reminded when asked to remove the gratuity but of course she neglected that request. It took another 15 minutes to split the check which was again slammed on the table. No one came to collect our checks so we had to get up and go to the bar ourselves. Another 15 minutes to ring up our checks while complaining about us. Ridiculous! If this place wants to act like a country club then they had better hire better staff to represent them because based on that one impression this is a club that no one from our company will ever be visiting again! What a mistake!

Upgrade them to three stars: «A-OK.» Staff improvements since the commencement of the season this year are wonderful! We’ve stopped in for a drink even when not golfing. The place is as bright, clean and airy as ever. There seems to be a friendlier vibe at the bar, too. Finally. It’s a beautiful place and I just wish they wouldn’t rest on those laurels… they could become really, really hot if they just would improve the food quality a little bit.
