Love B&B. I hadn’t been since the move to the new location and wasn’t really sure where I was going. It’s right near BJs, for those of you directionally challenged such as myself. I came to B&B for an event: painting signs on 100-year-old barn wood. How much hipster-er can you get? First(and really only) hiccup was that the door was locked. I guess there are two entrances and they didn’t expect people to use the«front» door(next to the parking lot). I called and they came running, so that was fine. The space is packed with a hodgepodge of items; some vintage, some new, some repurposed. There’s furniture, decorations, jewelry, even clothing and fabric. Prices are not outrageous and it seems like they’re open to working with you to find something within your budget. For our class, they had lots of different kinds of cookies, nuts, popcorn, water, beer, and wine available(for free!) in order to help inspire our creative sides. The four owner/partners walked around saying really positive things to the participants and made each of us feel like a talented artist. They were enthusiastic and let us enjoy the event without trying to sell us on signing up for more or purchasing goods while we were there. I will definitely be back soon!

This place is cute — a friend of mine took me here while I was in town and I was impressed to find a cute place like this in the location it is in. Here’s hoping more stuff like this will come to the neighborhood. They didn’t have an enormous selection, but they certainly had a little something in every price range. The stuff they have is great though, and priced well! The lady working in the store was super friendly too! I’ll definitely be back next time I swing through town!

Visited this place for the first time last week and did not leave empty handed! They have an incredibly eclectic taste in all things retro and vintage and this store is a real gem for the area to have! The selection is mostly repurposed and upcycled items so this isn’t the place to go if you’re looking for cheaper goods that you can upcycle yourself. Their prices are not unreasonable and the place is packed with good variety so there’s a little bit of something for all tastes. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and we will definitely be going back. Score for Hartford, score for Blaze and Bloom! Musically yours, –Jerron

A great find off New Park Ave in West Hartford! Lots of unique, one of a kind gifts. Lots of locally made items too– soy candles in Wine bottles, coasters, and tons of other home décor. The ladies who own this shop put a lot of thought into every piece in the shop.

What a sweet and beautiful vintage store! Yes, it’s sort of in the middle of nowhere, but you’re bound to find some treasures here, including jewelry and housewares by local artisans, as well as some vintage items. This is a great spot for a housewarming gift, a gift for a friend, or a gift for yourself. The prices are pretty spectacular, as well. The owners are also very lovely — not pushy and kind.

My first experience at Blaze & Bloom was for a Unilocal-hosted holiday shopping event. You’d never know the shop is there just by driving by(or at least not at night in the winter!), so hopefully they get some better signage because this shop is ADORABLE. A nice mix of new and vintage, with some great local/handcrafted wares for sale. I bought a few locally made soy candles as gifts for others, but will be back in the not-so-distant future to buy a few larger«gifts» for myself! ;)

A cute, funky and whimsical little boutique located in an old factory that also houses A Little Something Bakery’s new location and Panache. It was in the«interior decorating» section of West Hartford. I came here last night for a Unilocal event. I thought the store was well-decorated and charming. Great olde decorating pieces and locally-made items available for purchase. I purchased an old frame of a ballerina and a candle named«Litchfield Hills» made in West Hartford. I only wished that had a better selection of jewelry and accessories; many of the antique jewelry looked sad and looked like it came straight from the dime bin at a tag sale. Other than that, they had cool items that were reasonable priced. The ladies I met there were very nice. I will check them out again whenever I’m in the New Park Road district.

Blaze and Bloom Unilocal event, what a wonderful evening so many great Unilocaler’s. This little vintage store has some great pieces, and the staff we’re very friendly and helpful. purchased a nice little double heart ring, and a gift to thank Susie for the great time we had on vacation at her place in the Keys. If you are looking for a gift that can bring back memories of years gone by this is the shop your are looking for.

Blaze and Bloom features unique vintage and refurbished pieces that would compliment any home. The owners curate well and create a wonderful shopping experience for their patrons, down to the complimentary drinks. There is always something new and funky to check out and I would decorate my entire apartment with their items if I could. I own two gorgeous pieces from here that my guests always compliment. The owners were very flexible about pick up times, even holding pieces as long as a week for me. Before you go to Ikea, check this place out for better quality furniture.

A breath of fresh air on Park Street. The creativity and skill put into restoring vintage furnishings and home décor is just stunning. They also sell antique jewelry and other accessories. Nick and I fell in love with a collectible television set transformed into a home bar(on a swivel stand with glass front — super cat/kid proof). Pieces are extremely, shockingly affordable which is a surprise considering all the work that’s gone into the restorations. The shop is open every Saturday(plus special events) but I’ll keep tabs on their social media in case the hours change. Overall, an innovative breath of fresh air in a world of Pottery Barn and Crate & Barrel.

Stopped by your opening and loved your new location. I hope to come back when it’s less crowded and get a better look at your jewelry. Looking forward to seeing the wine candles you had on facebook too. Glad to have you close by for easy browsing and shopping!

Amazing. Beautifully staged store with a lovely staff. The prices were so much better than I expected which allowed us to get a little out of control. I was more than happy to support a local store with owners who obviously have a passion for everything in their store. We bought everything from vintage prints to chairs and tables. Wish I had space for that amazing couch in the back that they reupholstered with old sweaters.

I love this place. The owners are always super friendly and helpful. If you’re looking for a place to find good vintage furnishings, decorative items, kitsch, and great barware, this is the place. The inventory turns pretty quickly so you may want to come often to see what’s new! Plus you can get a glass of wine mid afternoon and you can’t beat that!
