I am writing this review on behalf of my sister Rochelle, who used this service. Rochelle was visiting from Jamaica with her 3 year old son. He is in an advanced pre-k program that requires the students to use an iPad mini. Somehow the screen was broken at school, in Jamaica. During her visit here in the US, Rochelle was debating on whether she should purchase a new iPad or just get the screen fixed. When she contacted icrack, the tech Joseph responded to her immediately and explained how everything would work. It seemed like such a hassle free process, and the quote given for the repair was reasonable enough that she decided not to buy a new ipad. The repair took a couple of days because in addition to the screen being cracked, the speaker had shifted out of place. In the end, Joseph was unable to repair the ipad, and couldn’t determine whether it was something he did when initially opening it up. He stated that he had brought a new ipad to replace it, and transferred all of the pictures and information over. The ipad was clearly not new, but it looked great compared to the broken one, so it was not a big deal. He guaranteed that the replacement worked great, which it did initially. However, the next day, we started to notice that the touch sensitivity on the replacement ipad wasn’t very good and we had to press really hard on the screen and make a couple of tries to even get it unlocked. Joseph was contacted immediately, and he said he would try to stop by the next day to take a look, and would open a warranty repair ticket. He was advised that Rochelle would be going back to Jamaica in a couple of days, and this needed to be resolved as soon as possible. We never heard back from Joseph again. Now my sister is back home in Jamaica, school starts this week, and now half the screen on the ipad does not work at all. We really wish she bought a new ipad. She would’ve been better off keeping the broken ipad, because at least the screen still worked. Now she is out the money she paid Joseph, and still has to go out and buy a new device. Things started out great with this service, and Joseph seemed like a great guy, but once there were issues with the device, we were left hanging. This turned out to be a horrible experience.

Dropped my phone in my driveway at about 5:00 pm. The screen was shattered. I live at least 30 min from the nearest city, so I thought it would take days find time to get it fixed. I’m so glad I found iCracked. I sent one message through their site then almost immediately received a call — a technician was at my house within an hour. 30 minutes later it was good as new. Joseph Signorello in the Hartford area was our technician. I would definitely ask for him again. Seems almost too good to be true but this company does a great job.
