The Noah Webster Library is *close to* as good as it gets in terms of libraries. You can renew movies and thereby have them out for up to 2 – 3 weeks. You can print and it’s not a huge hassle to do so as long as you add some money to your card. They VALIDATEPARKING for up to 2 hours while the library is open at the Isham garage(Pretty sure it’s that one). Everyone who works here is really nice which always makes me happy. They have an entrance down by Barnes & Noble as well as the entrance on South Main. Their DVD collection is expansive and there’s only a few movies that I have looked for that they don’t have(So far!). The ONLYREASON I’m docking a star is because DVDs are not alphabetized within their letter! As in, for«T» «Transformers» might be before«Terminator» which adds a good amount of time when you’re trying to locate a specific DVD. Seems like a small qualm but I wish they would fix this, I don’t think it would be too hard. Otherwise, GREAT library! I’m a fan.

Noah Webster Library has one of the best Children’s section with uniquely designed learning/play zones and a combination of open and semi-closed areas for kids and parents to explore the creative learning process. The library staff is always available and willing to help. Our daughter loved spending time at the library which is so heartening. Thank You so much for creating a wonderful environment for the future.

Love this library! Lots of great books, comfy places to read, do work. Free wi fi too! The children’s portion is great — they offer so many great technology like iPads and computers for the kiddos. Be careful because some of the new fiction can be only 2 week return policy and then you stuck with a fine. That has hall ends to me so many times! They validate parking in Memorial.

I’ve brought my son to this library before and the lower level children’s area is very nice but today we encountered not one but two rude librarians. First, my son(2 years old) and his 3 year old friend were playing with a puzzle. My son is really into puzzles right now and they were enjoying themselves quietly. A librarian then walks over and starts picking up one of the puzzles they are working on and walks away with it! No explanation to me or my son about why she was taking it. He was very confused. So was I! Later the boys found puppets and were tossing them into the air like acrobats(he just visited the Big Apple Circus last weekend). Another librarian came over and accused them of «throwing» in violation of the rules. Sorry but in my book that’s not throwing. I said as much but gathered the puppets and put them out of reach. Despite this, she continued trying to escalate things by telling me I could take things up with management. I told her that wasn’t necessary, I had put the puppets away, and I wasn’t interested in getting into it. Later as my son and I were leaving she approached me again with a comment card. I declined again and asked to be left alone. I’m not sure what comment I would have written other than that she was being ridiculous with her interpretation of the rules. That’s an issue she needed to change, not management. It continues to baffle me how people sign up to be librarians in children’s libraries and apparently have no concept of what it means to be a child. We had only ever visited this library a few times before but after today we won’t be in a hurry to go back.
