Great selection, but beer prices are $ 1.00-$ 2.00 higher on all 22oz and 4⁄6 packs than other area stores. They limit you to 1 – 2 cans/bottles rather than one 4⁄6 pack each of hard to find beers, which is opposite of what other local stores do. Seem you have to be «in» with someone to get the hard to find items.

I went in today and they apparently had the price of a product mislabeled, unbeknownst to me. When I asked why it rang up higher than it should have, the cashier insisted that it was because of tax and deposit. Since I know how to do math, I explained to him that this wasn’t the case. After a few minutes of fussing with a calculator and somehow managing to end up with the wrong number anyway, the guy begrudgingly gave me a refund. He tossed the money at me and said, «Here, take your pennies!» The difference in price was actually several dollars and it was on a single item. It was also for a product that the store is selling in an improper fashion. They’re splitting 4 and 6 packs of hard to find beers apart and packaging them together for a higher price. It’s not a mixed six pack or anything like that. They’re repackaging the beer from the distributor and forcing customers to buy what they throw together. Not only that, but they’re trying to charge a higher price than is displayed, and they’re rude about it!!! Terrible, terrible business. Head to Harvest Wine and Spirits for a good package store in the area.

This is definitely my favorite liquor store in the West Hartford area! There’s plenty of liquor stores closer to me in distance, but I always make the trip to Parkview. The selection is fantastic. I can always, without a doubt, find what I’m looking for. Whether it be beer, liquor or wine, I can always find what I’m in the mood for. The staff is also awesome. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgable. They’ll recognize you after you go there a couple of times. They give good recommendations. Plenty of parking. Convenient locations. Constant wine tasting. Awesome staff. Short list of why this place gets five stars from me!

THISISTHECOOLESTLIQUORSTOREIVEEVERBEENTO. the people are SO funny and helpful. One girl will teach you how to make amazing drinks if you just tell her what you’re feeling up for. Amazing things we bought at her recommendation: Pecan Whiskey(fantastmagorical), the orange flavored Petron liquor and some sort of creamy chocolate liquor that’s just perfect when blended with the Pecan whiskey. Talk to the awesome girl with short hair and wicked cool style. These folks are the best and there’s usually always some sort of tasting going on. Parking is out back!

Great selection and amazing staff! There are plenty of liquor stores close to me that I can go to but I’d much rather go out of the way to shop here. Walking in, you’re immediately welcomed by a smiling staff who will go out of their way to make sure you’re completely satisfied. I’m usually completely indecisive on what I want to order and they have an unbelievable amount of patience to walk me through all of the mixes that they enjoy. Even though I haven’t had a problem finding the obscure flavors that I want, they will order in whatever your heart desires so that it will be in stock on your next visit. Great place, great service. I’ll definitely keep coming back here.

This store is much larger than it appears from the outside! Excellent wine selection, ordered by style, region, and price. Liquors galore and a craft beer selection that would bring a tear to the eye of any beer aficionado. Off street parking located in the back of the store.

How have I not reviewed Parkview yet? That’s just crazy for the amount of times I’m in the joint. There are many other places to buy your booze around here but this has become my favorite. I agree with the other reviewers. This place is awesome. It’s huge and it has a killer beer selection. They even give the Beer Cave a few miles away a run for their money. I can ALWAYS find something here. I’ve been on the prowl for some lower alcohol IPAs(under 5ABV works well for me) and they have SOMANY to choose from. Mosaic, Stone, Founders, Lagunitas… n’ more. My wife likes a simpler stuff such as Narragansett and Corona and of course they have that too. I also dig that there’s often some sort of tasting going on as well. I’ve tried some different Patron samples there and the staff is always encouraging and friendly«try some!». I’ll be heading there after work today to pick up some IPA goodness. See you at Parkview!

My husband and I stopped by Parkview to check out their beer selection. I am gluten-intolerant so always scoping out places that offer Gluten-Free beer besides the four or so top brands that I do not care for. Parkview has a great selection of GF beers(Omission Pale Ale is my favorite), but also some really unique ones such as a Dogfish Head strawberry sorghum-based beer, a Japanese rice beer, and an Estrella lager. Those were all new to me. The owner Ash(sp?) was so helpful and not pushy at all. He is very knowledgeable, even providing taste details about the various brews. My husband is a homebrewer and was very impressed with the selection of regular beers, and Ash’s knowledge and helpfulness. I cannot wait to go back to try a new one after I drink these, and am really happy to support this store with such friendly and helpful owners and employees.

Fantastic. This store has such an impressive selection, from beer(including gluten free and lots of exotic varieties you’ve never heard of), wine(including local and organic), and my favorite– booze. Vodka in particular. So many fun choices all around. Whether you prefer elitist beverages or cheap swill, you will find something you like. The prices are great, especially for West Hartford. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. For me, Parkview is an area favorite and where I most often shop for libations.

stopped in with Anthony P, this is his local go-to package store. and it is a pretty nice one for a beer drinker like me. Lots of stock, some harder to find things. Not a lot of singles from broken up sixes(i like to try lots of new beers and if i have to buy a 6 of everything i would have lots of beers i didn’t like). Kinda funky setup, you enter in the rear. I always thought it was Liquor in the front? Anyways. if you are over here and on the prowl for a decent place to get your alcohol, this is a good stop. Cheers!

Parkview Wine & Spirits: After going to the huge package store in West Hartford, I kind of feel like a hypocrite for saying that the previous place was the best in the area or state. What one place possesses, lacks in other areas that the other business possesses and vice-versa. Parkview Wine & Spirits actually has a very extensive collection of beer. I mean from 4 packs, 6 packs, 12 packs and singles. They have so many kinds of crafts brews to please your palette. I bought a Vanilla Porter, Founder’s Imperial Stout, and the Banana Bread Beer(this one is one of my comfort beers whenever I try to branch out to beers that I’m not familiar with. Every time I come here I am always overwhelmed. They seriously have every thing in terms of beer. Porters, Stouts, Ales, Pale Ales, Black Ales, Cherry porter, Rye IPA, Cherry Rye IPA, Chocolate Stout, Coffee Stout, Red Ale, Honey Lager, sorry but the list goes on. Meet Ash. What an awesome guy. He is nothing but a wealth of knowledge. He has tried almost all the beers that come in. He plays his cards right, ordering beer, and seeing which sells. Then he either keeps them on his rack or phases them out. But he is always acquiring the next best beer on his shelves. What I got to learn visiting this place today: 1.) If a beer bottle has a rubber or wooden wine cork on it, then the beer can have a shelf life of at least one year, meaning, that through time beer just tastes better. Just like wine. 2.) His experiences with marketing of companies and how well they thrived. 3.) The low down of certain breweries in Connecticut, and who is outsourcing their product. 4.) And other little tidbits that I wish I remembered but I was so overwhelmed. Come here for a variety, come here to be enlightened personally by the owner.

I’m no wine or beer expert in fact I don’t even drink! But I do like the selection offered here. The staff is always friendly and eager to help when you appear to be wandering around. I like that they are not busy restocking to pay anything to you. This is one of the cleaner more organized liquor shops on Park. It seems they have everything and the prices are comparable to other places. We’ve stopped by for seasonal items in the past and they always seem to have whatever we are looking for. Stars for cleanliness and organization. Another plus because the sales associates don’t look like drunks!
