If it was not for our waitress Amy, and the fact that the food was delicious I would have given this location no stars. We almost were not there long enough for to meet Amy and experience the food. We called ahead to warn them that there would be a large party coming in. They had said it was no problem and explained that we would not all sit together which was no problem. When my boyfriend and I got there, the rest of the party was already there, most sitting at the bar and the one group at a table. When we asked how seating would work the hostess was very rude and explained how she had already explained it 5x but my boyfriend and I had just arrived. She continued to rudely brush us off and argue with me because we had just gotten to the restaurant and were unaware of what was happening. Finally they had given us a table. We had then proceeded to wait 15 minutes and nobody came to our table. When our friends had brought it up to their waitress she had approached the hostess to ask who was serving us. Come to find out, the hostess never told the waitress that she had our table. We were VERY close to leaving and going elsewhere, but that’s when we had met our waitress Amy! She had apologized several times for the hostess who clearly had no idea what was happening. She had answered all of our questions and was one of the nicest waitresses we have ever had. The food was very tasty as well. I had gotten the special burger which was a southwest turkey burger and my boyfriend got a Turkey club burger, both were very good. The food was great and so was Amy but the hostess had ruined my lunch for me. I would visit again, but maybe a different Plan B location.

Type of order: Dinner and lunch. Several times. Food Quality: Very good. Food and burgers are very solid, homegrown. Nice selection of food and sides. Beer Selection: Nice. All american beer, which is cool, along with the all American beverage selection. Service: Not a fan. Bar service has acted like they’re too good to serve anything created outside the US. OR that YOU as the customer should know no(non) American items are going to be served. Very bizarre. Honestly speaking, service staff was actually very nice though every time I went. Atmosphere: Eh. A Restaurant. Mediocre at best. Fills in with douchey ness post 10pm. Prices: Very reasonable. Entertainment: Jersey Shore DJ starts at 10pm sharp. Overall Experience: Meh. Food Recommend Rating: Check out, tell me I’m right or wrong. I’d go back, but won’t rush there.

Service is on point. The waitress we had was honest sweet and on point with the menu. Now on to the food. I love a good burger with fresh meat fresh toppings and fresh ideas. Plan B is that type of place. The menu has something for everyone and it is all fresh. The décor of the place fits it’s menu. Dim as the day ends and warm to encourage you to stay. It is a tight place though. Everyone rubbing shoulders is not too bad but a lot of immature college students can kill the mood. All in all I will be back here to eat and to dine out! PS try the squealer… It will change your life…

I first started going to Plan B a little over 6 years ago. And since my first visit, my love for their food has only increased. I have been three of their locations which include West Hartford, Glastonbury, and Springfield. I am a frequent visitor of the West Hartford location due to the fact that its roughly 5 minutes away from my apartment. The West Hartford location is the smallest in my opinion, but the best. Last year they did some upgrades and renovations. The business next door vacated, so they were able to take down a wall and add to their space. What a world of a difference! The only drawback pre-renovation was how small the bar area was and the lack of seating. The addition added 4 high top tables for 2, 3 or 4 large booths, and a larger bar. The addition of all the seating allows for people to sit in the bar area and sometimes lessen their wait. Plan B always has a top-notch selection of beers and bourbons. Their staff is always well versed in their selections and the bourbons alike. Plan B is great place to just go grab a beer at even if you’re not hungry. The regular customers who sit at the bar are the best. They are rad guys who love a good conversation, I love it. Their burgers and chicken tends are standard whenever I eat there. My boyfriend and I love the chicken parmesan tenders with a side of hot sauce and blue cheese. One of their specialty burgers I had months back was the PB&J burger, which has been my favorite since. The sliders are mini variations of their full size burgers. They are also so juicy and flavorful, cooked perfectly every time. The disco fries are delicious side if you are looking for something a little more filling. The disco fries are Plan B’s version of poutine. It is a serving of their shoe-string fries topped with cheese sauce and gravy… delish! If you are looking for lighter fare, then their salads are a great option. They are made with fresh, crisp ingredients. A favorite salad of mine is the burger salad. I feel so much less guiltier eating a burger salad than an actual burger. Plan B is a sweet place with good brews, bourbons, and of course burgers!
