I walked in this place to get a slice of pizza. As I walked in the chef and who I believe to be a patron of the establishment we’re gladly proclaiming their views on the officer who threw that African American girl out of her desk and got fired for it. Now everyone has the right to their own opinion, but the racist undertones easily revealed them for the bigots that they are. To make matters worse there was a young adolescent African American girl working the counter. She was obviously very uncomfortable with the conversation and I can only assume as to her stature as far as her position and age she did not speak up. What upset me the most was you can tell that these two men were taking pleasure and loudly voicing their ignorance and making those around them both offended and uncomfortable. So much so that a patron standing at the register was arguing with the one man, and when the chef looked up and asked me if there’s anything I would like I told him not anymore. He seemed to love that and took a lot of pleasure in my annoyance. I wonder how much pleasure he will take in this review and the many potentially lost patrons that I hope avoid this place of bigotry and ignorance.

If you like pizza and you probably do if you are looking at this review, then just know that they make a slice that has an acquired taste and texture. They also close way to early during evenings, I think that their public would like them to be opened later . I am told that they provide good catering Hunki’s was the first kosher pizza store in West Hempstead so if you are looking for consistency then this is your place. The owner is a friendly guy. I told him that I had never been to the back of a pizza store and he brought me back to see how they flipped the pizza in the air. It would have made for a good date if I was with a girl instead of one of my guy friends.

An entertaining little place in the middle of West Hempstead. They actually do good catering. I’m not a huge fan of the pizza, but am totally addicted to the French Onion soup and the eggplant parmigiana. Downside is that they close pretty early at night.
