I’m from Barcelona and the food in this place feels exactly like home, but with a(totally deliberate) sophisticated twist. The ingredients are high quality, the service outstanding, and the final result is simply immaculate. I wish more people knew about this place, because it deserves more attention. It’s a brilliant representation of Catalan, and therefore Mediterranean, cuisine.

This is a little take out place, but its pretty cool inside and there are seats. The server was incredibly friendly, The menu has spanish tapas and sandwiches, called, Bikinis – which are pressed sandwiches. The other types are on baguettes. I had a jamon and manchego cheese bikini, and it was delicious. The pampas fritas, their version of fries, were spectacular. I really really liked this place(oh the gespatcho was great too) and would go back in a heartbeat.

I’ve ate at this establishment quite a few times. The restaurant is clean, service is prompt and lastly the food is amazing. My favorite is the jamon serrano bikini and the braised short rib bocata. Tasty selections without feeling too full. I am definitely a regular here at BCN. Not to mention underneath the tent of their outside patio– is a print of the nicely detailed ceiling of Barcelona’s SaGrada Familia. Every time I eat at BCN, it not only fuels my stomach with good food but warms my heart with nostalgia from when I visited Barcelona. I hope this place is here to stay.

I came here in the first few weeks of the opening. The location isn’t very big, but it had a cool ambiance. I ordered the short rib sandwich, and it was a good size and tasted good. Only criticism was that it was a bit too greasy, but not a bad option if you want a sandwich not named Subway.

Just like Barcelona. …such wonderful food and great décor, feels like being in spain. The food is substantial but light, and the gazpacho is 100% authentic! A must try…

I like supporting new local businesses and love that Boystown has a plethora of casual options. This is a new Spanish casual spot right in the heart of West Hollywood. We ordered one of their popular bikini sandwiches consisting of jamon serrano, manchego cheese, portobello with truffle aioli and it was AMAZING. The employees were extremely friendly and the service was quick. We would definitely be back again! I can’t wait for their beer and wine liquor license. Welcome to West Hollywood BCN!

Finally we have a tapas style authentic Spanish style eatery in the heart of boyz town… Let’s all help them getting a liquor license, because devouring these traditional snacks should be done with a glass of table red… With my chef buddy in tow we ordered seven items from the selection and they came to the table on the promenade front pretty quickly… Two items hit the spot: Gambas a la Plancha was exquisite! Most dishes held up to our critique — let me highlight a few; the Jamon Serrano sandwich was nicely toasted and it took two bites before the flavor combo hit the tastebuds, the Coroquetas Jamon that substituted the usual mushroom variation was stunning — again, I wish I had some wine! The braised short rib Bocata with the fennel and aioli impressed with its fine bouquet… The blender-gazpacho however was flavorless and too vinegary in comparison to all the other bites; I favor chunks and strong spices… Keep in mind, this is not the place to go to eat an American over-plated dinner you can split with three: Spanish style eating is a group thing, meeting friends and foremost a moment spend in good company, snacking, sharing, laughter and talking your heart out. Slow down and enjoy! On the way out the host(?) brought us a cup of crema Catalana with caramel brittle and saffron cream: that’s that second dish that still lingers in my mind this morning, boy that was good!

This is my third time in this wonderful establishment and I keep coming back for the delicious food and fantastic customer service. When I think of all the less than adequate dining experiences I’ve had in West Hollywood I wish BCN would have opened sooner. I can not express in words how spectacular these people are and what a breath of fresh air they are to what is normally experienced in the area. I hope you dine with the LOVELYPEOPLE at BCN soon!!!

Working at the Pacific Design Center, I should feel blessed to have such a large selection of lunch options. However, having worked at the same place for 3+ years, I find myself always desiring new options to satisfy my lunch cravings. Being born in Barcelona and having seen that this new spot opened up recently, I was excited to check it out. Although the prices are a little higher than I might like, it is West Hollywood so it is to be expected. The casual takeout counter restaurant is very clean, one of the most noticeable things when you first walk in. I chose to order the Butifarra Bocata, while my friend with the short rib bocata. Each sandwich was very good, though I preferred the Short Rib. The bread was crunchy and perfect, yet did not send the sandwich insides oozing out beyond the bread, as some crunchy breads do. Although the Buifarra seemed a little harder to keep together due to the sausage texture inside, it held up quite well, without any issues. Also on the side was your choice of either a side salad or gazpacho soup. I opted for the gazpacho, which was decent and a better complement dish to the sandwich than stand alone dish. Overall, a very good sandwich that I found myself liking more with every bite.

Once I heard about the opening of BCN, I was so excited to try it. The times I wanted to drive over the hill, traffic has been horrendous. I finally decided to try it when I checked Waze and saw the travel time was less than half an hour. BCN is a unique fast casual restaurant in West Hollywood inspired by «street food from Barcelona.» As I’ve mentioned in past reviews, not many new restaurants openings excite me. I visited Barcelona once before and loved the food I ate there from the tapas, casual seaside dining eating paella, to an upscale dining restaurant recommended by Barcelona native Pau Gasol, so I wanted to give this place a try. The recommended sandwich was the short rib, but I chose the bocadillo de calamares which is what I’ve been putting together myself at home. Assembling fried calamari from a local Chinese restaurant and Dutch crunch bread from my local market. The bread at BCN is a bit more unique. It’s thinner than French bread, maybe pressed down on a grill, toasted and buttered. The«bocata» was very satisfying and not your average sandwich. I also ordered the gazpacho(cold soup) and was a perfect companion with my sandwich. A dish I haven’t had since my visit to Barcelona was patatas bravas. It also hit the spot and brought me back to Barcelona. They also have soda from Spain. I ordered the Kas orange flavored soda. Everyone was really nice behind the counter. They even apologized when they felt it took a while for me to get my food. They even sent me home with some olive oil cake to try. Highly recommended to try the flavors of Catalan! Owners are from Barcelona.

Met a friend here for lunch today. The employees were super friendly and helpful in helping us decide what to order. I ordered the Short Rib Bocata and she ordered the Smoked Turkey Bikini. You also get the option of either a small salad or gazpacho with your sandwich. We both opted for the salad. The Short Rib Bocata was amazing! The flavor combination was on point and very unique compared to other sandwich places. I think the bravas sauce brought everything together. The sandwich arrived warm and the cheese was perfectly melted. I would definitely order it again. My friend said her sandwich was good, but would probably opt for something else next time. I’ll definitely be back! There have been so many places in this spot over the years, I hope BCN makes it and stays for a while. It’s a great addition to the neighborhood!

Spanish food is so rare in southern California this place is great just for that reason alone. Very brave of the owners to bring the taste of Barcelona to LA. Visca Barcelona! Visca BCN!

Authentic, delicious street food from Barcelona! The owners are both from Barcelona, the staff is super friendly and the space is beautiful. Loved my experience here, had the Spanish Tuna Melt Bocata(pressed baguette sandwich) and will be back to try the rest.

The two once– vacant buildings that bookended a parking lot where the Bossy Wife and the stationery shop bungalow used to be has finally found two businesses to open. One is a high-end dry cleaner(seriously), and the other has more of a future, a Barcelonan… ian…asque?, they’re all white to me, sandwich shop. Sauntered on by and didn’t expect to have a second dinner after the flavored water I had earlier, I was too curious not to stop by since we don’t get much Spanish Spanish here in LA. This place is fast casual, you order at the cash register and wait for the order. Coquets are flatbreads, which is what I had, and it was delicious. It’s like neapolitan pizza basically. The others, bocatas(baguette sandwiches) and bikinis(wedge-shaped croque monsieur), would try later.

Brand new spot in the old Bossy Wife location! BCN stands for Barcelona(the airport code for the city) and they specialize in Barcelona-style sandwiches(Bikinis, Bocatas, Coques). Very excited to have more European style spots in the neighborhood! BCN is brought to us by brothers and Barcelona natives, Jaume and Joan Anfruns, BCB was designed by Ana Henton, who also did Lukshon. Translation: Bikinis are pressed and grilled sandwiches, Bocatas are Spanish baguete sandwiches, and Coques are Catalan flatbreads. They also have patatas bravas and gazpacho for sides. I opted for the chicken salad bocata which was delicious. It’s not so much«chicken salad» which I think of to be mayonnaise-y, heavy, and unhealthy, but more shredded chicken, marinated Spanish style. It’s simple — not a whole lot to the sandwich but bread, chicken and shredded lettuce, but it was very good. My bf had the traditional jamon and queso bikini — which I’d call a fancy grilled cheese. He said that it was«definitely not healthy» but I’m not sure that would bother anyone! He had a side of chips and for $ 3 was disappointed at the small handful of chips that came with the sandwich. You’re probably better off with the patatas bravas. There’s not a lot of seating here, especially indoors, so it might be more of a take out type spot, which jives with the theme of Spanish street food(although a bit pricey for street food, you don’t have to go all the way to Barcelona to get it!).
