Robit at Blades is my hair guy for years. He updates our styles and is so nice. Better cuts here than Saks or Beverly Hills with a down home vibe. Robit takes men’s grooming to the next level. He colors my eyebrows and grooms them plus a great hairstyle. I always get compliments when I go to Blades to see Robit.

I’ve been going to Blades for over well over two decades and Patty has been the only human being I’ve let near my gentle locks. There’s a good reason why: Blades is the BEST salon out there and Patty totally ROCKS!
I can’t say enough about the place. It’s unpretentious and comfy and I’ve always received the best possible haircut. In fact, when I leave Blades, sporting a cut from Patty’s assured scissors, I feel supremely confident, like I’m the sexiest man on the planet. It’s the absolute truth!
Whenever I call to make an appointment she always asks «When do you wanna come in for a beauty treatment?» LOL! Take it from me, Patty will make you beautiful.

We discovered this salon when my son’s modeling agency sent him to Robert for a proper haircut. Robert, simply put, is the best. He’s a friendly, charming guy and no one in town gives a guy a better haircut. I’ve recommended him to tons of friends, and if he should ever retire or shut down his business, I don’t know what I’ll do — probably start shaving my head.

I have been going to Blades for about 14 years and I can’t ever imagine going anywhere else. Robert styles a lot of male models, celebs and other high-​profile people (he’s the one I see) — and owner Patty works wonders for the ladies and guys and gives edgy, cool-​looking cuts and colors. It is located in the heart of gay West Hollywood and the salon has a bohemian vibe and filled with hip artwork by Patty (for mature patrons, not for the kids) and they have a large gay and bi clientele, so this is the salon for you if you are looking for something unique and fun, with free-​wheeling conversation, a bowl of free candy, and the resident chihauhau Chula. Beats chain salons hands-​down. Give it a try.

I’ve been going to Blades since the 80’s and am thrilled with my cut and colors. Patty’s been my hair stylist and colorist for years and there’s definitely no one like her! Every member of my family has been a client at one point or another with Robert as their stylist. It’s quite an enjoyable experience… never a dull moment. and perhaps you’ll also come home with a piece of artwork too… one of Patty’s creations.

I have been a Blades client for nearly 20 years and I would recommend Blades to anyone who wants a high-​end salon look in a chill, convenient
environment.
I followed Robert from his last salon and I would never go to anyone else. In my opinion, Robert gives the BEST male haircuts in L.A. But don’t take my word for it, ask any of the more than 30+ people I know that also go to Robert, at least half of whom I have referred.

Patty scares me so much that I once waited for 8 months to get my hair cut. Luckily she does such a great job that my cut grew out amazingly and it was unnoticeable that it had been 8 months in between trims. That being said, I visit Patty every 2 – 3 months now because I’m more scared of how my hair will look without Patty, than I am scared of Patty. She is amazing and the vibe she creates in her salon is super chill, creative, urban and extremely personal. If your hair needs help, call Patty!

Been going here for years. 14 or more I believe. I once moved away from LA but kept timing my visits when I needed my hair cut. Robert is amazing and is first class in his field. I have turned several people I have dated on to Blades. Even When we broke up they would not leave Blades. Very relaxed place and well worth getting to know.

I’ve gone to Patty for great cuts for about 13 years now and will always go back. Yes, she’s crazy but in a good way with a dry sense of humor and great style. Every time I walk out of there, I know I look good. Give this small shop a try, you’ll not regret it.

Blades is a great, relaxed, fun environment for excellent cut and color… i’ve been going to Patty for 15 years, as has my husband. My 28 year-​old son still gets his hair cut here, as he has since he was quite young. This is a shop with a sense of humor that takes its work seriously. Prices are reasonable and the whole vibe is great. Highly recommend!
